Yeah, Marina Dalmas is a great singer and I'm looking forward to the release of her debut album. That video is from the talent show "la France a un incroyable talent 2011". Marina won that year, and she was just 13 years old. Here's the final:

She's been learning to speak English and has chosen to record an English album. She will also have some French versions of her songs. She has done the recording in New York and London. I hope she has great success.

Just a little update on Marina Dalmas - she has signed with Capitol Records, which I believe is still an American label owned by Universal. I think her new album is done and I would expect an announcement on a release date to be coming soon. I have an interest in this album because I really like her voice and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole thing. It's kind of cool that she came to New York to record part of it. She recorded at "Electric Lady Studios" which was the studio of Jimi Hendrix.

No doubt she has an incredible voice and it will be interesting to follow her career. So far I've only seen what was posted here. I'd like to see something more poppish that she can dance around with and have fun with to get a better idea of what she is like, as with Alizée and Moi Lolita and especially her performance in Amsterdam. MF could spend years teaching someone like Alizée or Marina to do the ML dance and it might not amount to a hill of beans. Someone other than Alizée might dance it to perfection in a physical sense but Alizée had that something special inside of her be it from her years of dancing in Ajaccio or maybe it's just the person herself that turned that into an incredible dance and an incredible performance; the flip of the head; the look in her eye and just the way she moved in general. You can't teach what she did in Amsterdam.

So it will be interesting to see if Marina has any of the stage presence or the charisma, that Alizée has so much of.

In another topic here I predicted she would be the next French star of Alizée status fame and I can assure ya'll that she has what it takes and will be just as famous if not moreso . Then again they are completely different people so non-compare besides both being music artists from France . I believe the move to sing in English by Marina will bolster more fame than Alizée in the aspect with the anti-English non-sense and ridiculously unfounded to me criticisms Alizée /management gets and is obviously influenced by not singing in English much and speaking herself on that fact and why . The only question is if Marina's management will get the right song as Alizée with ML , some luck and timing .

Marina pre-fame days had gotten some criticism for the French accent or better to say pronunciation of some letters/words , much alike Alizée and some of the critic fans here . I gave her a few tips which seemed to help a lot and assured herself and father that to me and most the French grrl accent singing English was nothing but her own cute style and something they shouldn't worry about or work to change much . I've been trying to get Marina to cover ML as in a youtube vid but I think they want to wait til she is a bit older .

What exactly do you mean promoting and who is they ? ( i tried to answer many times but erased as i go off on tangents ) Short answer it seems they are , Electric Lady Land , songs mostly English - collaborations with US artists but by the book they go by - VEVO ( boo ) this song cant be seen cuz you live in the US . I'd guess you ask as like many you see her on the verge of US success - lil fish have to swim and make the waves cross those shores - so if that is what you wish for stand up and shout . Marina Kaye # 1 today on itunes France with her song Homeless !

The anti-US viewer youtube problem is a serious issue for the US promotion , videos make or break songs and performers . The majority of US fans aren't patient there so many buttons to push , click .

Basically we want her here but she lives there kinda like most others from France or wheresoever , they are promoting her to the US markets but aren't full fledge with big money backing nor or they taking advantage of the last many years her popularity how they could with self online promotion . Dont get me wrong she is good and her dad too at keeping fans updated but its all in French . . . If you wanna grab the US market you have to have English fan pages and whatnot . If it was up to me i'd move her to Hollywood get her on some Disney show and do the acting music thing for exposure but that is alot to ask a kid and family to move around the world to Hollyweird . Now with proper guidance online she could be promoted beyond any of the above but they need the right person behind that and i'm not available lol .

I remember her being mentioned in here before, I think by Lefty and it was him I believe who asked me to pick up her latest album when on one of my last trips to France, but the store I went to was sold out.

I remember back then, seeing her performance of Rolling in the Deep on I think it was France has Talent and being very impressed with her voice, but I just quickly looked through Youtube and Wikipedia and I see she's from Marseille and she has several songs in English, but does she have any performances of French songs on Youtube or elsewhere?

If I understand correctly, Marina has chosen to sing in English to provide her with the broadest possible audience, as well as opportunities. Off the top of my head, the only French song I remember her singing is La vie en rose when she was 13 years old.

If you search YouTube for Marina Kaye, you'll find a lot of performances she has done. She always sings live and never lip-syncs. She truly has a wonderful voice. Her album is now certified platinum in France.

Patrick Firoi has always been my favorite male singer from Les Enfoires and what a powerful voice Marina has. Great duet. I remember from the SAGA program when I think it was Patrick who said to Alizée that maybe their lack of success with English songs had to do with their southern accents, being southern France of course, but I thought his voice sounded great in this song. If Marina is the type of competition Alizée will have to face if she tries to put out another album, she better use all her assets to her fullest advantage and that something she hasn't come close to since leaving MF.

Marina sings "The World Belongs To Us" from the upcoming animated movie "Robinson Crusoe". I believe this will first be released across Europe, but the rights to the film were bought by Lionsgate for distribution in the US. I hope when it comes to the US they bring Marina's recording along with it.
