Here is aFrenchie's translation of this fan song made by Alizée-Alliance.

It's said to be rough translation so if someone has something to correct, speak now or be silent forever !

Here is the original lyrics (as well as link to the song itself):
http://www.alizee-forum.com/topic,15698,-on-en-a-marre.html

"We're fed up!"

We're all waiting for you
We know you're pushing us!
In spite of that, we love you
Forever!
And if the press
Sometimes neglects you,
The critics: we...
forget them!

It's a problem, more than three years
Always the same [understand: old songs], it's not funny anymore
From Gourmandises to "Mes courants..."
No more surprises! it's lots of time!

We're all waiting for you
In spite of the shakes ["secousses" like "secousses sismiques" in the real song]
You're "bubbling" in the shadow ["buller" is "to make bubbles" or slang for "to hang about"]
of challenges!
All those delights:
Are tortures
For all your fans
In... formed! Who [??? avertis=informed, warned, aware, etc]
get impatient!

We're fed up with rumors,
That inflame only tears,
That torment us, sadden us
On the idea of a fixed return
We're fed up with promises,
That we swallow and that we forsake
By checking all months that go by ["cocher" is like "checking" a check box]
By thinking that it annoys us
We're fed up with stories
That make us mope
Fed up with waiting on sidewalks
All this is fake-hopes only!
We're fed up with cynics,
Fan attitude that runs out!
Above all fed up with your lateness! Also

We're all waiting for you
In a mild bedroom
Some syrupy harmonies
You're laying back,
As we grow tired

that whole thing just pisses me off ... i dont know why. i understand the point, but it just seems really insulting to me.

Yea, I never liked it myself either. I'm sure they didn't mean anything bad with it even tho it gave bad vibes when they planned it. And I still think the lyrics are too harsh...

But what is done is done...

To me the song wasn't needed im sure she knows her fans are waiting but she most likly wants to put out a great album and not a good one plus she might not have a record label and stuff that takes time to get done and what i dont get is if they say they love her why they cant wait till she is ready to release new stuff

I'm not sure it's that rude. It mostly talks about the press, the rumors, etc. And even starts with "In spite of that, we love you. Forever!". They're sending her an S.O.S. :D

Yes I did it quite quickly and I'm sure that garçoncanadien and Cooney will have many improvements to do there :D

It does sound like it is mostly pointed toward the press and rumors but at the same time does seem like parts of it are pointed towards her fans as well.

Just my 2 cents. :D

seems to me the whole thing is pointed at her. if we weren't 'waiting' .. none of this would be an issue. it makes it even more annoying to me, considering Alizee just sent them a letter a few months ago, saying she would be back soon.

again, I understand what they are trying to do .. and they aren't doing it to be mean. But if I was Alizee, and I saw that song .. I think I would say "Go screw yourselves"

Maybe there are cultural differences here that I am not seeing, for all I know Alizee may love this kind of stuff and think it is something great.

not alot of thought went into making that song. Alizee Alliance seems like a tough bunch of people with nothin' but the thought deprivation in their minds. but im still waiting without the bitching

i feel 'em

Hmm, reading over the original and comparing it with aFrenchie's translation, it looks like there are really two ways it could come out. One possible way shifts the words towards a tender joke that reminds her we're still here in-spite of everything, and the other way is more than a little bit accusatory.

Some of the lines could go either way in terms of meaning. The second line for example (We know you're pushing us) could be read as "We know you're giving us a test of our loyalty (which we intend to pass)" which would be a bit more playful, or could be read as "You're really pushing the boundaries of our loyalty (we're at a breaking point)"

The "refrain" part of the song could also be looked at either as a laughing dismissal of the nay-sayers, or as a condemnation for not being more public. This may certainly be one of things where there's either a cultural difference, or the emotion behind the lyrics doesn't translate so well, but it comes off sounding a bit whiny to me.

From what was said over on AF, it would seem like the folks who created it are serious fans, who mean no harm - I'll give them the benefit of the doubt there. Honestly though, this thing just gives me a bad feeling, like something's not quite right. My turn to say "Y'a comme un hic."

There's like a slight problem

I put an "*" next to the lines that I feel that they are "demanding" and feel "annoyed" that they do not get answers right away. Patience and time needs to be given to Alizée. Do not rush her, when she is ready she will be ready.

This definitely reads/sounds like something that's almost useless to translate as it loses far, far too much of the original message. Therefore I'm going to put aside my feelings on the translated version (which are most likely not deserved as it reads differently to me than it actually is) and give them the benefit of the doubt.

I will say that I believe this is brought on by a loss of sight and a lack of patience, but given the devotion involved I suppose that is not all that surprising. In fact it's somewhat surprising it's been this long before something like this came out...which speaks for their devotion in and of itself.

Yes, of course the whole song, too. But I mean that part of it specifically is direct insults on her.

And it's not just the lyrics, it's also the whole background with this song. The reasons it was made for. I followed the thread since the beginning and I have followed the people on French boards long enough to see how they feels and works. They are impulsive and rushes into things without thinking it through first. Well, they are great fans. But even great fan must keep the respect on her at all times.

We are not in position to judge her decisions. We can critique her songs, singing, performancing, interviews, her appearances in public... but we can't go and demand her doing things she's not ready for !

i feel sorry for us. Alizee is probably sitting back with her feet up enjoying life with her family, and we're on a forum debating about some stupid lyrics? life is great

bottom line is, we're all 'fed up' with the waiting, but she'll be back soon, and no stupid ass lyrics is gonna bring her back any sooner

IMHO - I feel that Alizee' will be back when its right for her family/career. The fact that she has a child will make the singing/performing take a back seat. I would love it if she came back, would love another album/videos would love all that. However, i would rather her taker her time, do any kind of follow-on album and return to performing with care - I just want her to be succesfull and happy. :)
