Instead of using the key combos like Alt-0233 for special characters you can install a small app called clipomatic. It's a windows clipboard utility whereby you can have lists of pre-copied text from individual letters, words or entire pragraphs that you paste on a regular basis. After installed you need to use your standard CTRL-C and copy your various text strings to create your list(s). Once you have a list all you do is press CTRL-ALT-V, a small unintrusive drop down menu appears on the screen. Use your arrows and highlight the text press enter or press the corresponding number beside the text. It's very easy and convenient.
