Here's my list. They are not necessarily in order of most favorite down, except for number 1 (PLP), which is my favorite Alizee song to date. The rest I list by album.

1. Par les paupières (Psychédélices)
L'Alizé (Gourmandises)
Mon Maquis (En Concert version)
Gourmandises (Gourmandises)
À contre-courant (Mes Courants Électriques)
Hey! Amigo! (Mes Courants Électriques)
Youpidou (Mes Courants Électriques)
Décollage (Psychédélices)
Idéaliser (Psychédélices)
Dans mon sac (5)
Mon planeur (Blonde)

OK, I can't count. I listed eleven.

Notice I said PLP is my favorite "to date". Staying hopeful.

Scruffy used this song for one of his well put together videos
The song in combination with the Video.... makes me both happy and sad.

Thanks kulli. How did I miss this? I downloaded it right away. Scruffy has always done a good job of putting the personality of Alizee in his videos.

Maybe some of the newer members had not seen this video of his. It remains my favorite compilation video.

Unfortunately when I put this together, I didn't have a good video editing program but worse than that, my editing skills were so lacking. One of the obvious mistakes are the lines you see due to interlacing.

I tried as best I could to put this in chronological order, but there are some mistakes in that regard. I also tried to include something from every performance that was available then.

Also when I first put this together, it was 22 minutes long. Well with my account, I was only allowed to upload a 10 minute video, so I shortened it and there is a 10 minute version out there on Youtube.

I finished watching that video and i really love it, such an amazing summary of her career during Gourmandises and Mes Courants Electriques.

Here is one reason I really like the 10 minute video. Starting at 7:43 for the following 8 or 9 seconds, her dances are in sync with the music. It is a great effect and I wondered if you had done that on purpose, or was it by chance?

This was actually my favorite 9 seconds for a while. :) I just rewatched those 9 seconds about five times.

Well it was seven years ago when I put these together and I'm quite sure I didn't try to sync it. What I tried to do was get a small clip of every performance, using the best clip from that performance, then putting them in chronological order, so I think it was just luck but I do have a couple other videos out there where I did sync the video to the music.

Here's one where I took clips from all her Moi Lolita performances and applied them to one audio track, again trying to get them in chronological order so you could see her growing from a teenager, into a young woman.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLnOD1cQoWM

Here;s another one where at many spots I synced her to the remix music, but what I really think came out best is the part at 2:12.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye5IKdEQK80

One thing I've learned over the years if you want to make a video and have a lot of hits on it, it's best to keep it to about 3 minutes. After that, people start to lose interest even if its a good one. Of course the Video history ones had to be long by their nature, but I probably should've shortened this one.

Here's one that's a little different where I synced a particular dance move to the music.

It was a great stroke of luck then because everything synced up so nicely. There are a few compilations I have watched where Alizee's movements were sped up to get it to sync to the music.

That one is awesome! You did a great job syncing the moves to the music and her lips to the lyrics.

Here is one of yours that uses the same J'en Ai Marre remix that I probably account for 5% of the hits. I think it's pretty hilarious and surprised it didn't do better.

LOL....you found the football one. I thought it would do better...oh well.

Here are my picks....

I'd have to say L'Alize is number one. It's a great song to sing along with once you learn the meaning.
After that there are so many that are so close.
2 JAM
3 ACC
4 ML
5 Youpido - I love the way she pronounces some of the English words. It's a simple song but has a great beat.
6 Gour
7 Coeur deja pris. I actually think this is the most beautiful song, but it's a sad song, not upbeat, so that drops it down.
8 Amelie - both versions are great
9 Hey Amigo
10 Lui ou toi

It's really hard to set the order. There were so many great songs imo, on those first 2 albums.

Here are my favourite songs. I don't consider this to be a classification because everyone of them makes me feel something different and if you asked me the same thing next month, I would probably change the order of some of it (except for the first two places). So

1~ J'en ai marre, I like to listen to it when I'm on the bed: I close my eyes and enter a magical world of peace and happiness. It makes you forget about everything else.
2~ Moi... Lolita, this songs made me know Alizée and it's very special to me

À contre-courant
Toc de mac
L'e-mail a des ailes (en concert)
Gourmandises
L'Alize
Lilly town
Fifty-Sixty
Par les paupières (it is really similar to JEAM from a certain point of view).

Making this """"top 10"""" reminded me why I am not able to organize her songs in different playlists... It is too hard to discard one of them (especially the ones from the first 3 albums)

I have to change my top pick. Even though for me J'en ai Marre, L'Alize, ML and ACC are right at the top, I find the song I never tire of listening to is the English Youpidou, even though MF did a poor job of rewriting the French version into the English version, I still love the way she pronounces many of the English words, such as streets, loss, lost, something, talking, walking not to mention mon chouchou.

My favorite part of the song is at about the 2:42 mark where the music builds up to last part of the song with a great finish.

https://youtu.be/MHJXsio4IqE?t=162

and as the case with several of her songs, even when I'm just listening to them, I can still picture her dancing and I love the way she danced in this portion of the song...

https://youtu.be/MHJXsio4IqE?t=223

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHJXsio4IqE

It's really a shame that MF couldn't have written some better English songs for her.

Youpidou is a great song and the English version is really enjoyable. It is my favourite En concert performance together with JEAM and JPVA. I think that dance has something special. Maybe because it has been performed only once (I mean in only one kind of event).

BUT...

not to mention mon chouchou.

This enchants me every single time.

This video is one of my very favorites of hers. If I had to pick three videos to show somebody who knows nothing about Alizee that best represent her, this would be in that list.

The Italo Disco tracks that Vadim uses accentuate the movements of Alizee. Often times the beat is timed perfectly with her dancing. In one video, Alizee playing the drums in the JPVA video is timed perfectly with the crashing of the drums in the underlying song.

Here is one he put out in October. The tempo of the song is a little faster than some of his others so Vadim uses more Gourmandises performances in response. There are more shots of the Amsterdam performance as well. One technique he uses that at first I thought was a mistake was that he continues showing clips of Alizee for 15 seconds after the music stops. It's a pretty cool effect, and in this one video, during the silent part, she gives that amazing smile that my avatar is based on. :)

Vadim Sanderson is the guy who has put those Italo Disco videos together. He's made about 40 of those videos with Alizee in them and in the 2 years since he's started, those videos have now I'm quite sure surpassed 50 million views. That's an amazing number for fan made videos.

Amazing for videos made of an artist whose last album was released 5 years ago and is no longer active in the business.
