Here is a huge panoramic picture of Paris at night. I wonder if we can see Alizee's house anywhere in the picture :)

Funny! I found this photo very lately too. But in an "outzoomed" version, and maybe incomplete horizontally(?).

Paris is so much nicer than Montréal, although old Montréal is still quite nice as is Québec's Old Town (both often used by movie crews when they want to shoot somewhere that looks like France without actually going to France). In case you wanted a more affordable trip to experience French culture, although most Americans who tell Canadians they are thinking about going to university in Montréal or Québec instead of Paris because it was easier and more affordable are asked if they realize how much colder it gets in the winter than Paris.

I've always wanted to go to Montréal. Once I finish my degree I actually plan on going there for a year or so, if I can find a decent job there. Here are some more really sweet panoramas (these are featured pictures (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Featured_pictures) on Wikimedia Commons):

Nice pano shots. They are typically loaded into a quicktime or java viewer where you can put your mouse in them click and pan around. These have very little tilt though. The image aFrenchie posted I loaded into a simple viewer you can see HERE (http://www.5sfb.net/panoparis/index.html) Too bad the image wasn't taken with a wider angle lens to get more degrees of tilt, but you can still tilt up with your mouse a small amount. Still a nice picture.

wow.... thats the most beautiful picture of paris ive seen.
my plan is to move to paris in the future...california just isnt cutting it.
most of my friends/family/cousins think im crazy for wanting to move there but paris is beautiful and california isnt (except for LA's beaches).
if not move there, visit there and take french class.

wow, I assume it's much nicer over there. THose were some beautiful views with that golden sunset type lighting. And those other pictures with the mountains or the tower.

But sometimes I wonder how much places are like the pictures. I mean theres this 1 angle of my school in the fall that makes it look like an awesome place to go. But that's only if u see it from that 1 angle lol.

Hmmm, when was that photo of the Eiffel tower taken? I only ask because of the Société Nouvelle d'exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SNTE) copyright of the image of the Eiffel tower with the new lights installed on it making it a headache to publish an image of it taken at night.(It looks like the old lights to me, but I haven't seen that many pictures of the new lights to really know.) During the day is fine because Gustaf is dead and any rights he could have claimed have gone along with him. An article about it Eiffel Tower repossessed (http://blog.fastcompany.com/archives/2005/02/02/eiffel_tower_repossessed.html)

From what I've seen Paris is generally on par with any major city. Living in downtown Paris is more expensive than in the surrounding areas but that is likely where you would want to be. Finding work though is very difficult, even with French working papers, and being from outside of Europe you won't have them and it makes finding a legal job extremely difficult (legal in that you aren't just paid cash under the table).

Every city has its rich and poor side. Everyone bases their opinion on the part of city they have seen. In my mind I see Paris as the most beautiful city and the picture supports my imagination.

Gorgeous photography, wow - it's such a massive contrast to what I see here which is flat red earth in the Australian outback. Harsh and beautiful at the same time.

Quad cities as on the Illinois/ Iowa border? Cause my hometown is a little over an hour from there!

I posted a link lately to "use" Google Earth without having it installed on your PC! I pointed it to the Eiffel Tower:

Now you can move, unzoom this image, etc :)

I remember my one night in Paris last year at that concert at the Grand Rex that never was......
First there was the driving rain. Then the horrible dive of a hotel that i booked (it looked really nice in the brochure?).
The fact that my hotel room seemed to be placed just above the Metro Line and i had to listen a train pass every 30 seconds.
The people in the Hotel room opposite mine who had a party until 4am in the morning.
The people who seemed to want to sing, shout, fight in the street outside all night long.
Last but not least the fact that the hotel room didn't have any tea bags and i had to go for a very scary walk at 2am to find somewhere that sold tea.
Most beautiful City in the World? Nah...give me Prague any day:-)
