I was wondering: what are the happiest or most special moments of your life related to Alizée?

I know that the days when we discovered her are surely among the happiest memories we have, but I'm looking for something different. Unless you met her, we only know her through photos and videos, but is there anything else?

I'll make two examples to make you understand what I mean.

The first one is something that I found on this forum weeks ago.
There is this guy, who is a great fan of Alizée, and was going to get married. If I remember correctly, he had already let his girlfriend know Alizée and she began to like her over time. So when the time came, he managed to convince her to put some Alizée music during the ceremony of their marriage (I think during those moments when all the guests dance and have fun).
That's all I can remember and I hope I didn't change any detail. I can't remember if this man described how it had been but we can imagine that!
It's probably the happiest day of your life, you're dancing with the woman you said you would love forever and all this thing is happening while you have Alizée singing "for you".

As regards the other example, it is mine. Obviously nothing like marriage lol.

A little premise.
As you may know I tend to be a little secretive about Alizée. So I almost never listen to her music at high volume or sing along with her at home. One of the few moments is when I'm alone in my car, but this happens only every 2/3 weeks.

So, this "happy moment" takes place few weeks after I knew Alizée. At the time I spent hours listening to her songs every night but I really wanted to make all my enthusiasm burst. As I said, this could happen in my car (every 2/3 weeks it is my turn to take the car when I go out with my friends). So I looked forward to that moment. The problem was that I didn't have any cd of her at that time. And I couldn't connect my phone to the car. So I could do nothing...
Don't know how much time had passed, but I finally decided to buy those blank Cds to put her songs in one of them (I know this is not exactly legal, sorry, Alizée).
Well, I made a CD with all the songs I knew. I think they were just 10/12. So when I found myself alone in my car with that cd, I inserted it into the stereo and everything was different.
The volume was so high that I couldn't even hear my own thoughts. I could only sing along with her. Everything while I was driving and probably other people were looking at me lol

This is nothing really special now. I have a new stereo that can be connected with my phone, so listening to Alizée while driving is just normal. But that night I felt happiness and freedom. It was magical.
Moreover I didn't want to remove that CD, so I made a couple of my friends listen to Gourmandises lol
(one of them was the one that knows that I like Alizée. Now sometimes I listen to her music with him, but I don't really know what he thinks XD).

So, tell me about you. As you see, I would like to read personal stories you have about Alizée :D

I'll have a lot to say on this subject, but I find myself busier than ever. We're going through a busy phase at work, which varies at different times of season. I can easily work all night long, but if we get some down time, as soon as I sit down, all the energy goes out of me and as far as the forum, It's hard to get anything done. On the past couple of week ends, I spent different days with each of my brothers, taking up most of my off time and that may continue for a couple of weeks. But I do have a lot to say on the subject and my working for an airline has put me in sort of a unique postion for someone so far away from her, to see her as much as I have.

So maybe tonight I'll get to write about it, then again it might be a few weeks.

As far as putting her songs on cds, don't worry about that. It's something she herself said she does. Who can resist with today's technology, especially where record companies charge so much for a piece of plastic that costs pennies.

As far as sharing videos here for example Les Enfoires videos, a show which depends on the sales of dvds to raise money to feed the homeless. Look how many videos are on Youtube about this show. Recently the whole 2019 show was on Youtube!. Most people I share videos with, aren't aware of these videos and would never have bought the dvds to begin with. Others who became aware of it, went out and bought the dvds. I myself have bought numerous ones, even in a few years where Alizee didn't participate, such as this year. In fact, I've bought extras, some to have a member here in Boston share them with the Boston French cultural society and some I've bought for the young lady who's done many of the translations for things such as DALS and SAGA. Ray bought several of the dvds and CleverCowboy has also bought their dvds so I think they have done quite well from the members of this forum who never would have bought them if it wasn't for Alizee.

The problems for many of us who live outside France is especially in the past, the cost of buying the dvds, results in a high shipping price. So what I do when I share files of those shows is urge people to make a donation to a similar charity that is local to them.

I am a bit of a fitness junkie. I have played different organized sports during my younger years, switched to jogging outdoors for many years after that, and for the last seven or eight years I have made going to the gym a priority at least three days a week. My warm-up includes using the treadmill, where I listen to Alizee on my iPod. I like to start it off by listening to Alcaline first.

Because of repeated sport injury on the right side of my body (mainly playing American football) and having some scoliosis which I was never aware of that caused pronation of the right foot when jogging, over time my right hip joint developed arthritis and later bone spurs. It was very painful as it progressed and finally starting January last year I had to stop going to the gym. I elected to have surgery and had it done last April. One month of recuperating and then two months of rehabilitation.

There are a many ways that I experienced happiness through this ordeal. One way is that I was pain free. However, there was something really special about walking back into the gym last August...with my iPod...and warming up on the treadmill again, listening to Alcaline. :)

I look forward to read your stories, Scruffy! I've already read the accounts of a couple of your trips to Paris and Ajaccio and they are really interesting. :)

Edit:

Oh nice story! The final has that feeling of "I'm finally at home".
I hope it's everything OK for your health now
