Wikipedia is blocked in China because it is unwilling to confirm to government censors. Internet censorship is very common in China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_censorship_in_mainland_China), and Wikipedia has been blocked there since 2004. The site was unblocked for a few days in October, but that did not last (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2006-11-20/China_reblock).

Because the Chinese government is still full of communist bastards! You know the kind.. keep the people down, no Alizee! (Their way of torturing the people, at least it would be for me) and all that kind of stuff. I hope the leadership eats bad rice.

I just got back from a tour in China during the Thanksgiving holiday. China is beautiful...Still, they could use a dose of Alizee. I looked for music stores in Beijing, but could only find one store at the airport. Found only Chinese musicians. We didn't have much time to venture off on our own; I 'm sure there's a ton of music stores though. :cool:
