French Tabloid Insinuating Alizee Upset That Jenifer Is Doing France Gall Covers

I read the interview somewhere on this forum yesterday, and someone including myself did sense something awry with Alizee's comments about Jenifer planning to do France Gall songs on a future album. Now the tabloid picked up on it. Scum.

IMHO, Alizee's covers of France Gall's songs were better than the originals.

I would love to go to Corsica and Ajaccio. Not with the primary goal of seeing Aliz�e over there, I know it's a minimal chance for that. But Ajaccio is an amazing place even apart from Aliz�e. My father has been there and doing multi-sport (diving, bicycling, climbing etc) in the cool nature, so that's why I'm considering of going there too.

If I ever go to Ajaccio I would of course also keep my eyes open for Aliz�e. Have any of you guys seen her? And then I don't mean on concerts but have you seen her in the streets, like in her normally life? Either in Ajaccio or somewhere else.

If one of you have done that (lucky bastard!), how did you do that, in what circumstance and how was she? :)

Really interesting interview, I was kinda annoyed by the interviewed who complimented her every 30 seconds (you're still a fantasm for us, you still look like a cute little girl, you're a really cute brunette, you're so beautiful.... damn , I can't even count them all) Anyway, far from the usual boring talks , she said some interesting stuff and she laughed a lot !

-Although she said many times that there never was any anger between Myl�ne and her during their separation , she said in that interview that if she was to accidentally meet Myl�ne somewhere, she wouldn't cheek-kiss her, like any friends or coworkers would... which is odd, since she even allows her fans to kiss her during autograph sessions...

- While talking about the lyrics of Je Veux Bien, she admitted that she's tired of crying, and doesn't want to take any risks or experience things that might make her cry again. She said she cried way too much in her personal life ... But that douchebag of interviewer interrupted her when she was about to tell us the reasons that made her cry so much..

- She said also that Myl�ne didn't like the idea of lili getting tattooed at all ,she didn't want her to get any and this was quite a conflictual issue , Aliz�e had to wait for their separation to do what she wanted

- J�r�my Chatelain may actually be a gamer... she really specifically talked about friends playing playstation together , forgetting about the adult world...
They also suggested the idea of Aliz�e needing older men to find satisfaction in love . It felt like she was only half joking... :13:

She said that Sirkis tried to flirt with her while she was pregnant, and made her understand that if he was willing to work with her, and use his reputation for her career, it was for "something else" , he apparently kept on trying to seduce her and spread rumors around him about them being together... and Aliz�e stopped the project, "to show respect for her child and her husband" .

Holy crap , that's the first time she went so deep into her personal life..

Okay I may have forgot a few things, but this interview is so damn good that i'm probably going to listen to it several times :)

With many of my favorite artists they aren't of the world wide well know or say to use the term household name in popularity . Many here seem to share the notion with Aliz�e wishing or wondering why everyone in the world does not share an enthusiasm in such thoughts to have her be one of the most famous singer in the world .

Over the year I've come to realize to use another saying sometimes less is more . While the opposite could be just as possible to say if there were hundreds of thousands of fans using this forum for instance or hundreds of millions of fans worldwide . Consider the close knit family which has been formed here , add 1000's of fans posting here and perhaps the closer relations between some of you would never happen as posts then would be lost in the mix . Take scruffys latest cd autograph project in this notion , say there were 1000's who wanted an autographed cd . Perhaps then it would have never happened the way it did . . . Sure it may have worked the same way for a few but perhaps then not for as many to be involved as it may have then become a more privately messaged project with less public discussion amongst fewer involved as well end . While yes you can think now but the same amount of cds would have been autographed . . Would they then have gone to the devoted fans or moreso auctioned off to highest bidders . Maybe even she would not do such
personal fan meetings because simply it would not be possible due to having more commitments elsewhere . Now for those who are thinking well if she was one of the most famous there would be more material - pictures - albums - interviews - videos . . . Would there ? You see there is only so much time any artist has to do work . . I'd also add there that quality over quantity , while indeed there maybe a few more of each and every possible works they maybe inferior to what we've become to know and love as is . .

Anyway everything happens for a reason and while Aliz�e had her worldwide success at one point to be this superstar she is and indeed more was . . I LOVE how it is and has been to have this relatively unknown artist all to ourselves without the mess and less personal closeness those overly popular stars with too many fans become . Now again while the opposite can be thought that if there were more fans , more information being shared and so on . . Perhaps not because with less comes higher devotion one must research any topic and then have well thought out ideas to share instead of just being lazy and rely on others . Adding the more personal relations formed within by such leading to again less is more .

Okay guys, I don't usually start threads with such a title , but I couldn't think of anything else, (the mods are free to change it) and the story is getting too big for me not to talk about it...

Alright, i'm not gonna beat around the bush, there's a fast spreading rumor on the french forums that grows stronger everyday about aliz�e being some kind of nymphomaniac... That's what reportedly said Gr�goire's Ex girlfriend . Gr�goire who , as you may know, has been taking part in Les Enfoir�s for several years now, hasn't made any statement so far, according to J�r�me from Aliz�e France. :/)

I don't know ... what do you guys think?

Edit bis : There's a lot of witnesses and reports, going as far back as 2010 mentionning that Aliz�e was involved in short relationships with at least two confirmed guys being Matt Pokora and Greg after leaving J�r�my. Looks like people are more and more referring to those stories as facts and not as rumors. Since all three (J�r�my) are tattooed and have this "bad boy-ish" kind of public image, you can read in some post that she's likely to have had flirtation with other people she has worked with , all tattoed as well, with similar personalities...

I am back

Well, it has been a few months since my last post, I am sorry its been awhile. Got Busy with a few projects I am working on, mainly a Charity Drive I have started to raise money for Kids with Cancer. Been on the road promoting, marketing, and selling it to others. Inspired by 7 year old Taylor Love who has fought cancer her entire life since she was 18 months old.

In the mean time, I noticed that Alizee's new album has came out, gonna order it this next coming week. The songs sound awesome, and glad to hear her voice again. I am one of those fans who loves listening to all her music, not just the infamous first two albums. I believe that her voice has gotten better with age, and her music style has gotten better. I prefer the Lighter, Softer, more Romantic versions of her music more than the Pop/Rock edition of early years.

On that note, glad to be back, look forward to reading more of your posts, comments, and debates.

Alizee's "5". Your review.

Now, that most of have received your Alizee’s “5” CD, I am wondering what are your guys thoughts on it?

I listened through the entire album from beginning to end after receiving it over the weekend and I think this is her best solo album yet! I am glad I got this autographed CD instead of the Une Enfant Du Siecle album (which I didn’t really like).

I definitely liked the diversity she has in the songs, from pop to a bit of soft rock like in “10 ans”. With up tempo songs like “Le dernier souffl�” to the nice guitar string in “Mon chevalier”. Not to mention very melodic song with a nice piano piece in the background in “Jeune fille “ and the nice soft ending in “Dans mon sac.”

I would also like to add that she still has that cute voice from 10 years ago although it’s a bit mature. :)

I think after her experimental album (her words) that she had with Une Enfant Du Siecle, I think Alizee is finally figuring out what type of music she wants to make and the direction she wants to take her career in with respect to the type of music she wants to produce.

So, I would give it 4 and � stars out of 5. Only thing that is preventing me from giving a full 5 is comparing this to her previous album with Mylene Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat like in MCE, which I think is slightly a step above. Yes, I know it may not be fair comparing her to people who has 10-15+ years in producing and making music, while Alizee has only been solo for 5 years or so. But that’s just what I feel.

Regardless, I really like the entire album, as I stated, it’s easily her best solo album. Really glad got the autographed version. If you were to tell me that I would have gotten an autograph of her 7 years ago when I first came across Alizee, I would have smacked you! :p

Lastly, as a James Bond fan really like the “Bond” vibe that she had with “A cause de l’automne” in both the music and the video. She would make the perfect Bond girl. ;)

So, what would rate this album? How would you compare it to her previous two solo albums?

What can we expect? From what I read they are going in a new direction and incorporating a new physics engine. As a COD fan since COD 2 I can honestly say this has me excited since I have found the franchise getting way too repetitive. I am hoping for more realism like Battlefield and SOCAM. Well we shall see what will happen in the coming weeks.

My Aliz�e related musical notation... kind of

Hy all,

Some time ago I have promised that I am going to write about my Aliz�e-related undertakings... now is the time for such things... or not :)

Long story short, I am developing my own "musical" notation, which I at first planed to use only as just another tool in the process of musical composition. The main idea was to create a notation that would enable me to transfer ideas (from nature, from everyday life,...) into an abstract notation and then use these abstracted ideas as basis of musical compositions.

Examples:
For example, if I planned to create a melody of a certain group of people, I would take a piece of paper, draw one node for each of them, try to think of as many relations as possible between them and draw these relations. Each relation between X and Y would have been labelled as either a positive number (meaning, person X likes Y), a negative number (meaning person Y does not like X), zero (meaning X is neutral towards Y) or p (meaning X does not know Y, p stands for pause btw). What I would do next is, if there are N people, I would do N walks through the graph, each walk would start and end in a different person, I would collect labels on the way into a vector. With that, I would have obtained N vectors, one for each person. Here comes the tricky part - each vector could be a melody - I would have to find a way of transferring these vectors of labels from the graph into vectors of notes (that is, melodies) and just listen, whether they sound like something that can be used or not... and so on... the purpose of it would be to find some good melodies that would be actually linked to the outside world and not just my imagination.
One could find other examples, for example observing the outline of the mountains and transferring that into vectors of concave or convex points, observing the thickness of successive growth rings on a chopped tree, ...

If you are interested into possible uses, see the 4th section in the PDF of the first version of this notation here: Non-deterministic notation (btw, this first version is shit and flawed from the first letter on).

Why I am not satisfied with the notation I described in the PDF linked above? Because I didn't research it enough. Ideas for this notation can be traced back to ML, when I first heard "something different", while first practical ideas came from ML Lola extended remix, where I found out that one can identify basic ideas behind many songs from Gourmandises and MCE, most notably ML, Lui ou toi, Ameli�, ...
My renewed interest into the first album of Nathalie Cardone (which was produced by LB) caused renewed interest into this notation and now I am developing the second version of this notation - it is now renamed into "Abstract discrete wave notation", don't know how long this name will hold.

This time I started much more logically than the last time: I started with the idea that every sequence of numbers can be interpreted as commands which can be fed into a machine and then the output of this machine can be interpreted either as a melody or another stream of commands than one can fed into another machine - that is, melody can actually be thought of as a sequence of commands and vice-versa. With this in mind, I expanded the scope of the first version of my abstract notation from just abstracted ideas from nature into any sequence of integers (and other special commands).
Where am I going with this? I don't know! I just fear that I'll invest a great deal of my time into something that won't produce anything sensible, but at least I'll get my experience and besides, we will be able to say that Aliz�e got her own musical notation, no matter how bad and unusable it is going to be ;)

This time I have decided to develop my notation in Slovenian and only when it is complete (if it ever will be) to translate it into English... anyway, if you want to see the progress so far, check out these two pdfs (in Slovenian, as said):

Aliz�e now in the French Library in Boston

Hey everyone - though you should know...

Scruffy gave me an extra CD and I presented it to the librarian at French Library in the French Cultural Center in Boston on Marlborough Street. I am a member there. I explained to the librarian that the CD was purchased at an autograph signing (pointing to the signature in side) in Paris a couple of weeks ago. I explained that Lily is a Corsican born singer very well known in Europe but not so much here, and this was an effort to make her music available here in the US. Also French x-pats who know Lily may now have an opportunity to borrow her latest album. The librarian was quite pleased and said that the donation was a very generous gesture. They make periodic announcements of new materials in the collection and I am hoping the CD will show up there. I will keep and eye out.

It definitely is one of her most interesting tv appearance this year as she goes in the details of the meaning of her songs (10 ans, mon chevalier) and she looks back at the Aliz�e of the 2000's and talks about the 2004 concert , that's just great stuff!

Our group is trying to make the funniest and most random cover photo possible for our final report. We are striving for something that will make the professor be like "what the ..............!!" What we are trying to do for our cover photo is put a collection of random but funny things that have absolutely nothing to do with the content of our report on one crazy image. Here is what we have so far

Aliz�e's music sales drop may not be as it seems

Here is an interesting chart on music sales from 1972-2012. How as a new media is introduces the older media loses it's luster and sales. As music transitioned from vinyl records to the cassette tape to CD's to digital down loads sales revenues also change. As the public has moved from the CD to the .99 cent single down load sales have dramatically increased. On the other hand they are virtually killing off the revenue generated by CD sales of the past. Also this new jump from CD's to digital downloads is also making pirated content easier to share.

Be sure to click the toggle between Units/Sales to see how much of a hit in revenues the industry has taken since 2,000. According to the chart sales are through the roof yet two thirds of the revenues are gone :omg:

Looking at these two charts and it would have been almost impossible for Aliz�e to come anywhere close to the sales she had in 2000 and 2003 with her 2007 and 2010 releases. Her sales were not good but when you look at these two charts you realize they were not as bad as they appear.

Looking at these charts the only way today for an artist to make a good living, is by touring and the merchandising of their brand.

To those of you who don't know him, I beleive he was the original founder of Alizee forum. He is from Germany so I'd have to believe he's still there and operates the forum from there.

The reason I mention where it's based is I've posted several videos over the past few years, mostly using videos of Alizee and mostly from the early years, but also including some clips from Psych and Les Enfoires of recent years.

Now many of my videos have been flagged by Youtube, but they still have allowed them to be posted with the exception that they've been banned in
Germany.

So I don't know if what's going on over there has to do with Germany or is it an internet thing in general, but of course it could have implications for our forum.

This is a very busy time for me and I don't really have time to check into it and wonder if some one else can find out exactly what is going on here.

I have wanted to leave for a while now but the only thing keeping me is my love for some of the members I have spent the years with here and grown to know. With 5.5 years on this forum I have changed a lot as with my interests. Years ago like many of you currently I my life and heart had a huge spot for Alizee in it. Unfortunately that changed as I grew older. Further fueling the fire is the music she sings appears as well as her character growth has steered away from the Alizee I have grown to love. The Alizee I was a fan of is the Alizee of past that probably won’t come again. I find myself no longer interest in her current music as well as growing weary of the old songs I used to love so much.

I have been fighting to stay on these forums, trying to stay current with Alizee news but I feel like I am fighting with myself. I find myself asking “why am I doing this, what am I trying to learn and accomplish” as for I am clearly not interested. I have started to realize this is because I have a trouble letting go and saying good bye. I realize with my ultimate resignation of this forum my Alizee “fandom” officially completely ends turning another chapter on my life. With this new chapter it seems one of the last remaining remnants of my adolescence ends too.

Now I know some may ask why leave if it pains you to do so? The reason for that is it also pains me a little bit to be here. Like I said before I feel like I am fighting with myself to stay on these forums when I do not want to and it is making me unhappy. My posts have taken a severe downward spiral in quality and I feel the only in depth posts I can offer are in the off topic discussions in which feels so static. To that thought I feel the whole board has went static but when I stop and think about this more I find that this statement is not true. This board has never changed, though is follows the same formula in cycles of new and old members it is a definitely very dynamic and diverse. It is me, who has turned static … or is divergent a better word? It is me who has grown bored of something that used to be near the pinnacle of my interests. It seems almost everything that defined me as a person when I first joined this forum at 17 has gone and or changed. Not to get into details but my political, views, my life goal, my life philosophy, and even my whole being have all changed.

It is for these reasons that I have decided to leave for good; say good bye to everyone and leave for good. I know will be hated by some, possibly (and I hope) loved by others; but I hope in these 5 and half years you remember me as a strong opinionated member who loved great discussion and debate. I hope those who watched me grow from when I first joined are satisfied with who I am and the person I became and the growth of my personality.

The reason why I am not leaving right now after this post is I need a little more time to fully say goodbye. I want to uses these last few months to take in everything before I go. I figure I am so close to 4,000 posts in which will be a milestone for me, why not complete the final mile while enjoying the scenery. Now I know to some this may seem spontaneous, to those members who are really close to me and really know me you know this has been a long time coming. To those who witnessed and saw how my posts have been as of the last year should also not be too surprised.

I write this with a heavy heart and I will miss a lot of you; I wish you all the best in life and hope Alizee is and stays everything you want her to be and more. I hope she continues to inspire you and allow you to vibe in her sweet melodies. It is with this that I give my formal goodbyes, now all that is left to do is post 87 more times and I can be on my way. This is really hard for me but it has to be done!~

well... long time is known, most in Europe, that US people (maybe whole America) has really miserable knowledge about the geography in the world... most about the countries in world.

Its not a fiction by me, but real fact which I and many other can see everyday.

The most fresh, after the bomb attack in Boston, where people think the attackers where from OUR COUNTRY! Our news are filled with screenshots from twitter, where people want a war with us or invasion. And why? cause they have really no idea, how look the world.
Some information said, the attackers where from Chechen, but dont know why, many US confuse it with Czechoslovakia (which btw. dont exist 20years!) or with Czech or Slovak.

Well, maybe its sound really funny this whole thing... but its doesn't make really good name for USA (which was never good) and really make some people here worried. Really don't understand, how in the era of internet and Google, can happen something like this.

Really would like to know, what you think about it.

Your highest quality Aliz�e songs?

So I have been searching how to get the best quality songs possible over the last two years and thought I was constricted to 320kbps MP3s from a CD or iTunes/Spotify...thats until I figured about Lossless files from a CD. I just imported my whole Aliz�e CD collection into iTunes as Apple Lossless files and man do they sound amazing!!! What was a 5MB J'en Ai Marre MP3 file, is now a 40MB J'en Ai Marre Apple Lossless file :omg:

So now each song is ~1000kbps, ~40MB(for a 3minute song), and 44.1kHz/16bit. Compared to an MP3 which is 120/256/320kbps and only ~5MB at best.

So just her 5 full albums are 2GB in Apple Lossless :0 Sounds great on my Audio Technica ATH-M50 cans.

My question is, what is everyone's highest quality Aliz�e music? Has anyone converted her Vinyls to a Lossless file type?

With the picture that was posted last Monday, I feel quite confident that are cds have been signed and are probably on their way here as I type. The next thing I have to worry about is will they arrive in one piece. I wanted to take them home myself but things didn't work out, so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

So now I think it's time to get ready for the payment and shipment phase. I won't be billing anyone until I find out if their cd did arrive okay. You add the fact that last time, a couple of names were skipped and a couple misspelled, so I don't want to accept payment until the moment is right.

So for those who want to pay through paypal, please send me your e mail address. Now if you read the other thread about Paris, you'll know my main e mail account was compromised by some type of spam program. I believe I got rid of it, but until I'm absolutely sure, I will use my other one. Here is how I figured the cost of shipping to foreign locals.

Inside the U.S., I still have to look up some numbers. Last time it cost about 7.50 for express shipping with signature confirmation and it worked out good. I believe the boxes for express mail or it might have been priority mail is included in the price of the shipping, but it may have gone up since last time. I'd just have to add about 50 cents for bubble wrap.

I'll check on that in a few days but right now for a ball park figure, it looks like we are looking at about $29.30 inside the U.S.

After the last autograph session in 2010, I had mentioned that if there was going to be another one, that somebody else who was going who was younger than me should represent the forum. Some people percieve things the wrong way when they see someone like me, following someone so much younger. I'm not so much worried about that, but I would like Alizee to realize that much of our fan base is much younger than me.

Last time, we had a pretty good representation with Aron who was 14, FerAunger who was in his early 20s I believe, Neil who was born in the U.S., but was teaching in France at the time and was in his 30s. Then there was me.

This year luckily at least there was Ray and Jake with me. I believe they are both 40 +, but that's far better than just me. Lapinschous thought he might be able to go, but that late change to the signing date cooked his goose.

There was also the fact that we didn't even know if the signing of the cds was going to happen. We had late notice of when it was going to happen and when we did get notice, we were so busy with the details of what we were trying to do, that we didn't have time to worry about other details.

One thing else we have to consider is that proverbial wall some of us talk about where you wake up one morning and find out what had been such an important part of your life, just isn't quite the same anymore. Some times when you're looking at old posts from 4 or 5 years ago, you see many forum names that no longer post and I wonder if I will hit that wall sometime in the not too distant future.

So if there is another album or some other event where we might have some type of meeting with Alizee, even if I go, somebody else needs to be the one who represents this forum. I'm sorry it happend this time, but circumstances more or less dictated it and if there is another signing where I go and somebody else represents the forum, if there is no change in my job or financial or personnal status, I will still help to make the same thing happen, if there is not enough time to collect money as with this last event.

Now I think Ray or Jake would make great reps. One thing I tried to do in Paris was to get these two familiar with the metro system which is very critical in getting around Paris. If you learn the metro system, getting around Paris is a piece of cake. So hopefully they wont have any reservations about going back.

So let's be ready the next time for a new ambassador to represent AAm.

Hi guys, I found really strange that in 10 years of being a fan of both Aliz�e and MF , i've never ever seen a picture of the two on a same picture? Yet during the Mylenian era, aliz�e said to be very close to ML , meeting her regularly... so why? Is this on purpose? A conflict between two "brands"? Or is there something else?

It�s going to be hard for me to match the other members� descriptions of the event. They�ve covered the logistics of it well, so I�ll skip that. For me, being there was really special. It�s just been 11 months since I discovered Aliz�e. The way I feel about myself has dramatically changed since then, and I attribute that to her, somehow. I can only guess how that happened, but I�ve stopped analyzing it. I see a really good person inside her, and to try to pay her back I try to support her career. Watching videos, En Concert, all the interviews and reading about old interviews and translations has created that image of her that have. I was having a bit of trouble fully believing that image because I know that what viewers see is only what you are shown, and sometimes that can be misleading. I suppose it�s been important to me to find out that she is �real.� I got a slight confirmation of reality a few weeks ago when I got the Talents France Blue CD and posted a picture of it on Instagram. The next morning I was happily surprised to see that she �liked� the posting. It was as if for just a moment, she had let me know she was real. I know, it sounds corny, but Scruffy and Jake can confirm that I am. I had been thinking about going to an autograph session since she announced the album on the �live� Q&A video that came out last summer. At first we thought it would be in October, then it kept being delayed. I never wanted to go to Paris, or Europe, or anywhere. I was fortunate that right now I was able to take time off from work and afford the trip. I felt that if I missed this opportunity to �meet� her that I would regret not going. So off I went. During my connecting flight from London to Paris, I kept thinking that I could not believe I was actually going to France. Scruffy met me at the train station and on the ride into town, I kept saying the same thing. Even though I was able to see many of the famous and significant sights of Paris, I was there for one reason. That came the next day at the FNAC Saint Lazare . So I wouldn�t be disappointed, I never thought we would get a private session with Aliz�e. I hoped we would so I would be able to get a lot of great pictures of her. But I knew I�d be happy just waiting in the regular line. Scruffy has already described the ups and down of the lead-up to the session. So it was off to the regular line for me.

We were in the room already when she made her entrance and we caught a brief glimpse of her entrance, but were too far back to see her posing for the cameras. It was really exciting to know she was in the same room we were in. They had the ropes set up like a back and forth queue moving side to side through the room, so the front row was a 15 minute show just 10 feet from her. From the back though, we were all holding our cameras up to try to see her up front. Finally I gave up and just waited until we got closer to try for some camera shots. There was so much excitement among the fans. It was amazing once we got to the front row. Just watching her interacting with each fan as if they were the only two people in the world. Everything I had thought about her seemed to be true. I�m amazed that she did it for 3.5 hours. We started discussing who would take each others photos when the time came. Loose plans were made. Closer and closer to the front of the line. It almost seemed like my turn came too quickly. I wasn�t really ready. I had written my name on a slip of paper. I remember saying I had come from the USA to see her, and she pronounced my made perfectly. She may have said something else but I don�t remember. I had written a short note in a card, and I had found a Tinkerbell bookmark a few weeks ago that I included in an envelope which I gave her (It appeared in the photo she posted! Yay!) Then I handed my camera to the manager guy and went around right beside her for the photo. At someone's prior suggestion, I threw an arm around her for the photo. I hadn�t set the camera right and the photo didn�t come out too good but RMJ got a great shot. So for a moment in time, I was in the same place as she was, with an arm around her shoulder. So she�s about as real to me now as this keyboard that I�m typing on. I threw her a �merci,� grabbed my camera from the guy, and just sort of drifted away out the exit. When I got back into the store, I was in a daze. No one else came out for several minutes. I guess I could have stayed with the group but they had been forgotten. (Sorry guys!) Then it was back to waiting to see about getting the 80 CDs autographed. We thought there was a chance that would happen after the line was gone, but it did not. I got the impression that they would all be signed though later this week.

Now, she�s real, and I feel like the impression I had of her was accurate enough. I spent some of the 8 hours on the plane yesterday thinking about it all. I realize that I still really know so little about her, but I�m as certain as I can be that she is a nice, thoughtful, and caring person. And that�s all I need to know. Her depth, her tattoos, her fashion choices, how she spends her free time� None of that matters to me. I just want to support her and her career by helping other fans learn about her and keeping her in people�s minds and hearts. She knows more about her industry and career and what she wants to make of it than any of us, and she does what she wants to do, no matter what we want. Not that there is anything wrong with us discussing how we feel about those things. We just have to realize that we aren�t going to influence her in what she does. It�s like she is driving the fan bus, and we can get on and off whenever we want. It goes where she takes it, take it or leave it.

Please report it to the Facebook!!! She writes everywhere that her page is OFFICIAL (!!!) and so on... And this annoys me. Because she has no news about Aliz�e, she only saves the pictures and upload them, without the information where or why were those taken.

so here's a small (wait, small ???) report from that day, it's more or less a copy from my post at AF... with a few changes.

So Chris and I we arrived after a 14 hours trip � well we lost around 1 1/2 hours because of the traffic in Paris, I will never get used how the French drive � on Thursday evening around 8 p.m. On the next day we meet Miguel (Amigo) near the record store and then had to wait for Scruffy in his hotel (which took a while) and later went back to the store to buy some CDs for the autograph session in the evening. And so I got a photo beside a poster for the autograph session, there were 3 posters � one at the escalator, one on the shelf with the CDs and one in the room where the autograph session took place.

Ronny (RMJ) joined us around 1 p.m. and we wandered around a bit and around 3 p.m. we met Scruffy again in the Fnac because he wanted to talk to the staff if they could organise another private autograph session for AAm but I guess you already know all this so I won't repeat that story...

Well anyway Scruffy might have told you already that they left us to go and ask about the private session and Chris and I stayed and waited and I had a really nice talk with a French girl from Alsace, I don�t really remember her name I think it was Molwa or something but I could be totally wrong. She�s was right in front of us and in my video she's the last fan I filmed. She already met us and the others in the store earlier and asked where we came from and she was really surprised that we came from Germany and the US just for Aliz�e. She told me she really likes the new album, she liked UEDS too but it was more a kind of experiment and she really preferred the new album (same for me) and she was hoping that �5� will do better than the last one. She was also a bit upset that the French always think about Moi.. Lolita when they think about Aliz�e, that she still has this image even if she has grown up for a long time (well I and we all knew this already but hearing it from a French fan was different and even a bit more upsetting). She told me that she hoped this will change with this album because it�s really mature and Aliz�e also because of Aliz�e�s latest appearance on TV, she said in the past she was more coming to shows to perform something and not more and now she�s coming to some shows also to talk about different topics and she hoped people would see that and finally realise that she�s not a girl, not a Lolita anymore but a grown-up, mature, smart woman.

So before everything started we had to wait on a pretty uncomfy staircase because the autograph session took place in a separated part on the top floor and there was an extra entrance for this (we didn�t know that when we went up to the top floor for the first time but a member of the staff asked us if we were here for the autograph session and told the French girl that we have to go down and then we saw a piece of paper outside on the wall of the building and there was the information that we needed to go to another entrance� actually I guess Miguel and Chris already had noticed that there were Aliz�e fans standing outside�), so we waited there, then the others left Chris and me and later they let us in, but not all at the same time only in smaller groups until the place was crowded. When we came there I guess 30 people were in front of us, even more I didn�t count. I would like to know how many actually went there. The group right in the first row was from �Aliz�e France�, they all came together and as you already saw they even got a group photo with Aliz�e later... I guess around 16:30 they started to play the new album and the peeps from Aliz�e France all started to sing along and later chanted �Aliz�e, Aliz�e� together so they all were in a really great mood and it was fun.

Aliz�e finally arrived around 17h and as you already noticed, she looked really stunning, simple black outfit but really beautiful. A girl nearby was so happy when she saw her, she started to cry a little and I'm glad that I didn't even if this could have been me... at first Aliz�e posed a bit for the press and we couldn�t really see anything because so many people were in front of us. So the first 15/20 minutes or so we could hardly see her.

But the ambiance was really great and as you already saw in the videos and the photos - she took the time for everyone, they all got a photo with her if they wanted (and everyone wanted a photo) even group photos... some got cheek kisses if they asked for it and she made funny faces or her Victory sign for the camera and she was incredibly nice to her fans. And there was a really adorable moment when a man brought his little son and took a photo with him with Aliz�e, it was really cute.

Chris and I also talked to another French girl (well more or less because her English was not so good and my French isn�t either so the conversation didn�t really flow) but Chris asked her if she could take a photo of him and Aliz�e with his camera - originally I wanted to go first and Chris second but the girl was worried that she wouldn't manage to do a proper photo with his camera � to be honest I was worried too I�m just not used to use such big cams, I have my little Nikon and I�m happy with that and I kept telling Chris that I�m scared that I would drop it or that I would ruin the photo. So we changed plans and he went first, I took the photo of him and he took the one with Aliz�e and me later from the other side of the room (I still look horrible on it argh) and also one for the French girl. She already met Aliz�e oncem it was 2012 in Monaco and she had the photo she took this day with her and wanted to ask her to sign it. She was surprised when she showed me the photo � she only told me that she met Aliz�e once, nothing more - and when I said that I knew that photo and knew exactly where it was taken because I remembered someone posted it in the forum. She was really happy that Chris took a photo with her because she went to the autograph session alone. She�s the one on Chris photos right after the photos with us, when Aliz�e made a grimace for the photo.

So� it finally was on me to go to the table and what can I say I felt like I was going to die� I mean I already was nervous before (the French girl from Alsace asked me if I was because my hands were already shaking a little while we were waiting) but when Aliz�e was right in front of me it was so much even worse, it was like it just hit me that this was really HER like *BOOM*� I was suddenly shaking so badly and I thought I would die and when I said �Salut� to her my voice was trembling really really badly and I think I was just so overwhelmed by all this� I'm so glad that I didn't start to cry Aliz�e might have felt so uncomfortable. So my voice was still trembling terribly when I said to her "j'ai un cadeau pour toi" (I got her a present and my friend who went with me to the Enfoir�s concerts (Aliz�eFee) and couldn�t come gave me a present for her too) and I gave her the bag with the presents in it (on the last of Chris' photos there�s a little orange bag with flowers on it on her table, that was mine) and then I switched to English and told that I�m sorry and that my French is "tr�s mauvais" and if she would sign something for me and my friends. I had 3 albums to sign and two photos. So I gave her the first album which was for me and I told her (I tried to talk to her in French) that it�s for me and my name (I wrote all the names down before the session to make it easier for her and also because I can�t spell in French) and then I gave her the photo that I got for my friend and she signed it for her and I said �c�est pour ma copine" etc. So she also signed all the other stuff for me - I don�t know how many times I said �merci� and also �c�est tr�s gentille� to her for this - for the last one I even didn't had to tell her the name of the person I wanted the autograph for because she already read it on the little note where I wrote down the names... then I was finished and then out of the sudden she asked me in English � there were these small photos on her table, from instagram - if I would want one of these too. I was so perplex that SHE was asking ME if I want another (and I was already worried that I would bother her with my 5 autographs) so I just said yes or oui or whatever and took the first two photos that where right next to me and just asked her to sign one for me and another for my friend (the one who got the second autograph and she was really about this little extra and so I got a signed photo of Aliz�e and I didn't even planned to get one) She really signed everything people gave to her, some people even brought 5 or 6 CDs, a lot brought stuff from the past years, a few the hat box... I probably could have got some more autographs for some people but now it�s too late.

And then I could take my photo with her (but my smile looks so forced, I look horrible, probably because I was so nervous� and I should have taken my jacket off and put the bag near the window or something but I simply didn�t think of that�) and so Chris took the photos and I took my stuff and wanted to say good bye to Aliz�e but then she was talking to someone who just came to the table (I don�t know if it was someone from the staff or a friend) but I didn�t know if I just could go or not and I didn�t just wanted to leave neither because I wanted to tell her a proper goodbye and I wanted to wish her good luck so I waited a few moments (I hope she didn�t thought I was rude for not leaving) and said �Au revoir et bon chance avec ton nouvel album� or something similar and now I don�t remember if she said �bye bye� or also �Au r�voir�. But she was smiling and really really cute.

And then it was over and I still felt like dying and I had to wait for Chris because he took the photo for the other French girl and then we went outside and I still was so excited and there were some other French girls outside and they saw us and we talked a little bit (well kind of they were just curious and Chris told that he would upload photos on his photo page � self promo ^^) and then I went outside because I seriously needed to sit down somewhere � Ronny and the others were still in there � and we went to Starbucks downstairs (I mean I don�t like Starbucks but I simply had to sit down somewhere, I was still shaking).

Later we went back to the store to meet the others after Miguel texted me to come in because they would close the store soon � Aliz�e was still busy signing autographs later when the store closed and that was at 8:30 p.m. so she was there for more than 3 hours and a half! I�m sure her hand hurt like hell after all this. But someone in the French forums wrote that she told during the autograph session that she wants to do more of these session, at least 5 all over France and I really hope this will help her to sell more albums, I really hope people will appreciate that. It would be cool. I already saw that they album dropped in the iTunes charts **triste

So we finally went outside and some of the French fans from Aliz�e France who were there right from the beginning came down and a few of them � especially one guy � were really good in English so they asked us where we came from and we talked a bit (well the others did) and then he asked if we would like to come with them. So we spend the evening in a restaurant with Mexican food (fun fact: if I remember correctly it was a restaurant from the same restaurant chain that we visited when we did the fan meeting in 2008 in Paris... and were I found out that I love enchiladas) and it was a really nice evening. After we were finished Chris and I left because we went back to our hotel while Ronny and Miguel went somewhere else to have a drink.

Well and then the evening ended surprisingly annoying� (and if you don�t want to hear this not Aliz�e-related story just skip the next paragraph)

Because we couldn�t get into our hotel room! We got into the hotel and everything but the chip card for the door of our room didn�t work, instead of the green light that shows that you can enter there always was a red light when we removed the card and we couldn�t open the door!! And NO ONE was there, the receptionist already went home. I was so pissed (and you don�t want to come across me when I�m pissed because I swear a lot and can be so annoying�) But we found a number at the reception that you can call when there�s something urgent and I called this number and after I made sure that it really was the right number I told the problem and the guy on the phone said he would call me back (to be honest I�m actually a little bit proud of myself that I managed it to talk to someone on the phone in English without a lot of problems because I am not good at this and not really confident� but well we had no other choice� no offence but Chris� English isn�t that great ) and so I waited and waited and waited for more than half an hour but he didn�t call back! so I called again and he said he did call me back but I didn�t pick up (but my mobile didn�t ring, there was nothing) and he said he would call me back right now when I�d hang up� but even after ten minutes he didn�t call so I called again and he said I didn�t pick up the phone again. But this wasn�t true it simply didn�t ring. It was weird. So I told him that it simply didn�t ring and if he please could just tell me what to do because I was on the phone anyway. So he said I should go to the entrance hall (well more of an entrance room) and there was a check-in machine that is for check-in 24/7 when no one is there and he gave me a code and with this code I could get a new card from the machine but not for the same room so we spend the night in another room and couldn�t get our stuff, I didn�t even had a toothbrush, I was so unnerved because of this� that�s also why we didn�t go online after the autograph session and in the morning the receptionist was even 45 minutes late and he was the only one who could let us in. But then he finally arrived and we could get in our room only problem was the internet didn�t work so I couldn�t say anything about the autograph session...

Yeah I will definitely never forget this crazy, wonderful and omg-I-am-gonna-die day�

I arrived in Paris with no problems. Flights went well. The metro was a little tougher. Gate du Nord is a huge station, but a young Frenchman was a big help.
I arrived at my hotel around 8am, was dog tired, so I slept for about 3 hours.

I got up and went down to the fnac store and scoped it out. There were 4 floors and I was looking for a manager type, the suit wearing kind. I didn't really see any one of that caliber,but I saw 3 workers who were sitting behind a help desk, so I decided I would talk to them.

They were very helpful. (funny how that works) I showed them the letter we had sent to the store, which was in French and that was a big help, because there was a language gap.

They tried calling the organizer, but couldn't get a hold of him. They said they would get in touch with Alizee and see what she thought.

We discussed the possibility of me buying the cds tomorrow and leaving them there . I said that would be fine and I said I'd leave the list of names too. They were very taken aback by that. They thought I just wanted Alizee's name signed to it. So I had to do some quick tap dancing and I said if it's easier for her to just sign her name, that's fine with us. I know we would all rather have it personalized, but at this late stage we would just like to make sure something gets done. So they told me to check back tomorrow aftenoon, which I will do after I meet Ray at the airport.

If the mods want to merge this with another thread, that's fine. It's just easier for me to do it this way where I'm using a ThinkPad.

Okay fantastic news came in . Aliz�e reads her french fan forums, Aliz�e-France in particular . She once had an account there, that she quickly closed after denying some unfounded rumors. (cf. charts-in-france interview) So now we know that Lili spends quite a lot of time scrolling through what the web says about her. She just retweeted two aliz�e-france pictures in a row , thanked them and said that she loved their idea of a photomontage.

We know that she's really keen on retweeting pictures sent by fans, so if we use the same model and make our own pictures for AAm there's an almost certain probability that she'll retweet it or at least see which would remind her that english boards are still active! :acute:

Autograph session - Taking one for the team!

No word yet in response to our letters so we don't know if there will be any way that we can get all these cds signed. Now if that's the case and I have to get in the regular autograph line, I will only be able to get so many cds. I think the most I could ask for is 6. Maybe they will let me get in line a second time and a third time and maybe they wont.

I hope to go speak to a FNAC manager and see if there is a way we can get the most done and if that's not possible, at least get the least done.

So I may only be able to get a handful of cds signed. I've been discussing with the other mods as how to choose, who get's one. Of course how long a member has been a member will be an important consideration. How much they have contributed, is another one and I don't mean money wise. Me and the other mods take care of most of that. Of course there are other factors in our considerations.

So it's going to be very tough call for us.

So what I need to know is who is willing to give up a chance of a cd if we are limited? I wont be getting one myself.

I thought weeding out those who recieved one last time, might narrow it down quite a bit, but we still have about 40 names.

So keep in mind this is huge for many of us, but for some, a lot more than others, so please give it careful consideration as to whether or not you are willing to take your name off the list. I will try hard to get all the members who have requested one, a signed cd, but I have to be prepared for the worst.

It's kind of funny but I was just going through the list of people who recieved an autographed cd last time. I had found the list I presented to her. As I've said before in my correnspondence to FNAC now or in the past with VMS, getting an autographed cd gives our members a level of closeness to her that they might never otherwise experience.

Well the list, like I said, was the list I presented to her back in 2010. This was the list she thumbed through. There's even a drop of paint from those specially made pens on the first page and I thought, well that's a great level of closeness.

Sony did something very right, and it will pay off!

Despight a couple delays, I can finally appreciate Sony's actions with this release as they did it flawlessly in terms of outreach.

1) They had her album delivered through Amazon on the day the album released in many countries (including the US).

2) Her album was made available for pre-order on iTunes in many countries (including the US) and available to buy on the day of release.

3) "5" is also available on Spotify as early as an hour ago :eek: I didn't check earlier today):

4) Tons of promotion has happened over the past few months, especially the last week or two. And she retweeted at least 40 tweets today in order to further spread the word over social media :eek:

5) They sent out the limited edition boxes early so recipients got it a day or two before the album came out.

Props to Sony, they've done things very right recently and it will show in sales for the album! I wouldn't be surprised if this one sells more than Psych.

At 9:00PM EST on Wednesday, March 27th, I will be hosting a LIVE group listening & discussion of each song on "5" on Aliz�eAmerica's TinyChat.

All are welcome whether or not you'll be able to talk or not :)

Here is how it will run:

We'll wait about 10-15mins for everyone to get in the chat room and ready themselves for the epic times that are about to go down. We'll start off with the first song, ACDLA, and cue it to 0:01. Now, the song will not be streamed over the chat, only our discussion: so you will need to be listening to the song on an external device such as a stereo system, CD player, MP3 Player, etc. Everyone will be asked to keep the volume down on the device they are playing the music on so that it doesn't interfere with our voices on TinyChat. Then we'll all click "play" at about the same time and discuss whatever comes up about the current song and specifically what we are hearing at the moment. After the first song finishes, the convo can carry on if necessary, then we'll cue up the second song to 0:01 and repeat the cycle. Should be a great time and all of us are looking forward to it!

Ally: Quelle est la signification de Jeune Fille? Je le vois comme des conseils qu'on donnerait � une chanteuse, mais que la chanteuse n'�coute pas et ne souhaite pas chanter uniquement lalala et yeahyeahyeah?

Pas du tout, c�est plus pour voir la vie du bon c�t� avec tout ce qui se passe dans le monde, on devrait �tre heureux chaque matin que dieu fait.

Plus �a va, plus le spectacle est grandiose. Je ne sais pas quels seront nos prochains costumes. J�ai l�impression qu�on a d�j� tout port�. On aimerait pourtant ne plus �tre l� l�ann�e prochaine, cela voudrait dire qu�il n�y a plus personne dans la rue.

Mon p�re s�est fait tatouer quand j�avais 10 ans. J�ai toujours aim� cela, j�ai commenc� � 16 ans et je n�ai pas encore r�ussi � m�arr�ter. C�est un peu comme une drogue :-)

Pas pour le moment, il y a tellement d�artistes que le choix serait compliqu�. Pourquoi pas Vanessa Paradis...

Celui-ci car sur les pr�c�dents albums, surtout sur les trois premiers, j�ai travaill� avec des auteurs qui jouaient avec des mots qui utilisaient beaucoup les doubles sens alors que sur cet album je dis les choses simplement et clairement.

Mythique: Pensez-vous qu'il soit plus difficile aujourd'hui de se faire un nom? Et surtout de durer? Sinon, j'aime beaucoup votre discr�tion et ce charme naturel que vous d�gagez...

Merci beaucoup. Le plus dur dans ce m�tier est de durer. Cela fait 13 ans, 5eme album, je suis fi�re de mon parcours et j�esp�re continuer le plus longtemps possible.

Ricardo Ibarra: Vous voyez-vous chanter dans les 30 prochaines ann�es?

30 ans, c�est loin. Mais j�esp�re �tre encore l�, que ce soit avec mon m�tier ou pourquoi dans un autre domaine comme le cin�ma.

Pour repr�senter l�album, tout simplement. C�est un album qui parle beaucoup d�amour, de nostalgie et de m�lancolie.

Floofloo: Bonjour Aliz�e, j'ai pass� toute mon adolescence � �tre une grande fan de toi. Aujourd'hui les ann�es ont pass�, tes fans du d�but ont grandi et tu sembles plus "discr�te". Est-ce plus difficile de s'imposer aujourd'hui alors m�me que l'on a tendance � valoriser les chanteuses � voix, et o� le public fran�ais a du mal � voir grandir ses �ados stars� comme tu l'as �t�?

Aliz�e: Bien au contraire, les choses ont �volu� et il y a plus de places pour les chanteuses comme moi comme Coeur de pirate, qui ont des voix plus douces comme celle de Vanessa Paradis par exemple. Les fans ont grandi et �volu� avec moi. J�ai maintenant 29 ans, je suis maman et j�ai l�a chance de faire ce m�tier depuis 13 ans et d�avoir des fans toujours aussi fid�les.
