That's for sure Danny :)

I've got a look to MatrixFactoryGuy's Youtube channel but seems empty:
https://www.youtube.com/user/MatrixFactoryGuy

comjoz 10-19-2015 11:36 PM

If there is an interest I can share my collection of Matrix's videos that I downloaded from his youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/MatrixFactoryGuy during the period from 2009 to 2013.

That is 74 videos, altogether 1.42 GB.
I can share to some of our most prominent members, such as Scruffy or Ray and the like, and they can then share to others interested.

But please do not upload these videos on Youtube! The reason for this is that the videos are not of high video quality because they are not originals, and if you upload them to youtube their video quality will further reduce.
You can upload them to some video sharing websites, or Hub, or you can just share them using Google Drive, see about that at http://www.gcflearnfree.org/googledriveanddocs/6 -- there it says: "When you share a file with a limited group of people, your collaborators must sign in with a Google account to view or edit the file. However, when you share with a larger group or make the file public, your collaborators will not need a Google account to access the file."
The explanation is in the video also there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7TrFgIfcA8

Scruffydog777 10-20-2015 08:31 AM

That would be great comjoz. Me and Ray use google drive on a regular basis so we are already familiar with it. My gmail address is scruffydog777@gmail.com

Ray4AJ 10-20-2015 08:24 PM

Awesome comjoz! I have searched my files and did a search on the hub and I couldn't find any Matrix videos. I'd like to add them to the archives. I'll send you my email via PM.

comjoz 10-23-2015 02:24 AM

Guys, I'm not done yet with the uploading of all Matrix videos from my collection and sharing them with Scruffy and Ray, but here's a glimpse of an insight into what awaits you when it's over: ;)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxQ...ew?usp=sharing

As you can notice from the video descriptions of the individual videos that he has made, Matrix has several times devoted his videos to the Alizee fans and especially to this Alizée America Forum, and he has even mentioned some of the fans such as Scruffy.

I'm sorry I missed your question before and I don't know why that link isn't working. I was actually looking for one of my favorite Matrix videos " I'm not crazy" when I saw that other Matrix video. I don't remember the name, but it looks like we will have it in the near future thanks to comjoz

Here is a Google drive link if you'd like to download "I'm not crazy". I must've watched this video a thousand times. Once we get this video it should be better than the one I have that needs cropping.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzK...ew?usp=sharing

EDIT: Going back several posts, I had posted a picture of another singer who I thought she looked like she was attracted to. Other members pointed out his name was Mika and he's gay. This video you can download from my google drive is when the two were singing together in one of the final songs of Les Enfoires 2013. It's one of many songs I've really enjoyed from that show over the years. I'll look up the name.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzK...ew?usp=sharing

Synthetic498 10-23-2015 03:11 PM

Thank you Scruffy for sharing those videos! As soon as comjoz's backup will be available I'll surely take a look.
What happened to the original Matrix's YouTube channel?

Scruffydog777 10-23-2015 06:55 PM

I don't know what happened with Matrix's channel. After so many years, people move on. Could be because of Youtube violations too. There are major violations such as when I tried to upload the first DALS show (episode1) to Youtube. That was a major strike. Three of them and you're out. But there are a lot of minor violations too. Just about every video I've uploaded to Youtube has received a notice that it can't be played in Germnay, I guess because of some music company owning the rights there. It's a relatively minor infraction, but I beleive if you get enough of them, they'll also pull the plug. Still I"m guessing as to what happened with Matrix. Maybe comjoz knows?

comjoz 10-24-2015 09:14 PM

Well, over those past years while Matrix still was active Alizee fan he repeatedly changed his username on YouTube. Thus for some time he was Matrix, then Matrix5060 and AJClochette25, etc., and then he would erase his channel. It was giving trouble to everyone who followed his work, who wanted to watch his videos. One fan said to him:

@MatrixFactoryGuy
But your channel is hard to find!! Everytime your account gets deleted, it takes me a while to find you :P I really hope she is watching, because your videos are so nice.

Matrix has explained the reason why he is doing all he does:

Alizee watches fan videos, she surfs youtube and watches fan made videos of her. Sometimes I make a video just to irritate her...to get her attention because I know she is watching YouTube.
My channel and my videos are all created on the assumption she is watching. I would not be here if she wasn't

-------
i've had 7 accounts deleted and restarted.
I delete all my videos after awhile and start over again....if there is a particular video you like I recommend to anyone to download and save it because I always delete my videos after awhile.
It motivates me to keep making videos if I start with nothing...so that is why i delete them. Thanks for commenting

-------
Bonjour Alizée...c'est Matrix. I've been making videos of you on YouTube since 2005 when I first discovered you on the internet.
Several youtube accounts and over 5,000 videos of you later...I am still here because you rock my world!

-------
I get viewers from all over the world asking who I am. I am just an average white guy who grew up in midwest USA playing baseball and eating hotdogs and hamburgers and apple pie and driving Cheverolet cars and trucks.
I did not discover Alizee until around the year 2005 on the Internet. I saw a picture of her and she caught my eye,..she was so beautiful. Since then I have been infatuated with her.
I do not speak french. The only french I have learned has been from Alizee videos. I wish Alizee would give french language lessons on youtube.
I have never met Alizee but I have purchased all her albums. I don't seek an autograph or anything like that. I'm happy having her albums and making videos of her.
All the videos I make of Alizee are video clips I obtained from Alizee fan sites or here on YouTube.

-------
I have downloaded all your songs from your new album Une Enfant du Siecle off the Internet here on YouTube. Someone from Paris, France uploaded the entire album on YouTube. Yes, I grabbed the opportunity and downloaded them but only because I could not wait any longer to hear your songs
Many people say why buy her album if you already have all her songs digitally from the Internet...well, I say this:
Alizée deserves our respect...she gives so much of herself to help other people and sacrifices so much of her time to entertain us...that it just would not be right if we didn't support her and her Universe
I will buy your new album Une Enfant du Siecle Alizée because you are an amazing woman and I want you to go on entertaining us in the future
Sincerely, Matrix

Here, finally 74 Matrix Alizee fan videos plus a text file with video description, altogether 1.42 GB, from my collection that I collected during the period from 2009 to 2013 from Matrix's youtube channel:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?...Vk&usp=sharing

Note: Some videos in their title contain certain words and markings that were not in the title of the original. The original titles of the videos can be seen in a text file Matrix videos.rtf with video description. Some videos are not even mentioned in a text file.

Here is another folder with some other videos about Alizee (not made by Matrix):

Thanks comjoz! We are lucky that someone had collected these videos so they wouldn't be lost forever.

Hey guys - I just remembered about this forum and decided to call in and say hi! It's been... 8 years since my last login! That's quite a break.

There used to be a media section on this site when Brad was still around. I remember downloading everything there was, is it all lost now? Surely someone kept it all. Unfortunately while spring cleaning my PC last year I got rid of my old Alizee videos.

Paybays 11-03-2015 08:16 AM

Over 5000 videos? I'm sorry but that is a bit overdone. The magic disappears if you make over 500 videos per year. I made only 4 videos and I can't actually think I could make a 5th one.

Hi! Welcome back!

I wasn't around in the early days but as I understand things the media section went away to keep the costs down and the forum ad-free.

But all is not lost! Nearly everything is still preserved on the Alizée Hub. Info here >> http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5956

If there are a few files you are specifically interested in just ask and I'll get them to you.

Hey xaypock. I've been a member for about 8 years now so I must of joined right about the time you left. We've heard from a few members lately we haven't heard from in a while. I hope it's a sign of a trend.

Scruffydog777 11-09-2015 08:38 PM

I ran across this today and I didn't know where to post it. I thought it was interesting so I will post it here for the time being. It is about Paris.

The Avenue de l'Opéra, one of the new boulevards created by Napoleon III. The new buildings on the boulevards were required to be all of the same height and same basic facade design, and all faced with cream coloured stone, giving the city center its distinctive harmony.

I remember reading too and I'm not sure in what part of their history it was written, but I read one reason was they built such wide, broad avenues in Paris was so if the they revolted again, the army would have nice wide fields of fire to direct against the populace.

http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/...pst1vsrybt.jpg

Shepherd 11-09-2015 10:19 PM

In addition to being fashionable, the wide boulevards made it difficult for rebellious people to build barricades. For both these reasons the Germans copied the Parisian practice in the construction of Berlin. During WWII the Allied bombers were able to create firestorms in the cities with narrow streets, but couldn't firestorm Berlin because the boulevards acted as firebreaks.

That's very interesting Shepherd. I hadn't heard that before. I'm tremendously interested in the history of Europe, especially of the WW1 and 2 period. I've visited so many places concerning that time period; the Somme, Verdun, Berlin, Potsdam, Prague, Oradour-sur-Glane, Lidice, Majdenek, St Nazaire, Dieppe, Krakow, but I hadn't heard that before. Thanks for telling us about that.

Here's one for the Memory Lane, it's Olly Murs talks about Alizée and the song "Dear Darlin":
It seems that Olly was very pleased with how it turned out this version of his song. Just listen to him ... :D

Although my English is not so good I think I've managed to figure out what he said. Olly said that the version of the song with Alizee turned out better and that his earnings would be higher if it was made as such at first. :)

Yeah, I remember you were there and made a video:

Comjoz, Thanks for posting these two videos. I have seen the version made in the night club by Scuffydog, but this is the first I've seen these two. Watching Olly on the stage with Alizee, it appears he was really taken by Alizee.

I remember a couple of years ago there was ongoing project (at the time) to translate ActuAlizée magazine in english: http://www.alizee-international-fan-...d-magazines.ws

Was it discontinued?
How much of it were translated?
Does anybody has links to the translated material?

OMG you were express quick. It took you just 5 mins to answer my query. :D
It seems it's RMJ's website, and it appears that only first five numbers were translated. But per the AIFC there were 9 numbers in total. Right?
So, the project was discontinued.
Thanks for the link.

Hehe, well, it was easy... I just took a peek at this thread : http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6268

Shepherd 01-20-2016 02:48 AM

I was looking at some of the new young singers and comparing them with 15-year old Alizee. Of course I'm biased, but Alizee appears to win hands down. The most serious challenger in my opinion is Angela Vazquez:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZfK4YaHv5M

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeZM...5kXzC_UKvvIA9B

Scruffydog777 01-20-2016 09:51 PM

Well of course we're biased, but I think if you had asked people who had never seen any of these singers including Alizée, who was the best, I think the voting would be fairly even. She has a smile that could melt the heart of the toughest man but that wasn't evident in this performance. Her dancing too is another thing that sets her apart not to mention her on stage presence. Plus a huge factor for me at least was the music and lyrics of MF and LB. I think a better video to have shown for Alizée would have been Moi Lolita in Amsterdam. She had such great poise and charm; the little waves to the crowd, not to mention her dancing. That's the dance I would have liked to have been used as a comparison; of course she was 16 then, but I wonder if the others had anything that would even have come close and Alizée did not have to have the revealing outfit on to be a sensation.

One pic for the Memory Lane.
Just to inspire some memories ...

http://i46.tinypic.com/20tsbpj.jpg

Scruffydog777 03-24-2016 04:55 PM

Of course what's happening here is we were unwrapping the 60 cds I paid for. Notice the knap sack beside me. A little while later the Virgin Megastoe manager came down to get us. The first thing he asked was where is the receipt? I was sure I put it in the knap sack, but I couldn't find it. I checked all my pockets, then I thought maybe I threw it away with the wrappings. I went across the room to the small trash can I put the wrappers in came up empty. I turned around and everyone was gone. A moment of dread set in. I flew upstairs and after a couple of minutes, found them. I found the receipt later in one of the numerous pockets of the knap sack.

We then went on a long journey through hall ways up one set of stairs, down another, back up again It reminded me of the video of making of J'en ai marre and I get deja vu watching it.

Aaron is the one with his back to us. I believe he was 14 at the time. His father was on sabbatical at the time. Neil if I remember right is the gentleman on the left. Him and his girlfriend were from Wyoming and they had been teaching in France for a couple of years. He had been at En Concert and the young man next to me is FerAunger, his forum name. He was from Mexico, but was attending college in Paris I think at the time.

I didn't want to go in there with just blue jeans and a t shirt. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her and so I wanted to dress accordingly without over doing it, so I had that shirt made up locally. Hopefully maybe I'll get to use it one more time.

Maaan that takes me back! I had been a fan since January of 2009 and had been marinating so to speak, in everything Gourmandises, MCE and Psych, and the release of UEDS was the first I was around for. It was so exciting that on top of that, we received the miracle of Scruffy and the big private signing!! I got to put my name on the letter; I snow-shoveled my butt off to be able to buy the deluxe collector's edition of the album; and there was even the Technikart magazine she was in!!! Unforgettable days.
