I have sent 2x E-Mails in french to the dance studio. I wanted to know if the 1st october is just start for the regular dance classes or is something planed for interested visitors like an opening ceremony. I didn't receive any reply. I only guess why not. I thought just now maybe I will find someone who could call the telephone number and ask them, but now It is too late to do that

Lets say an event is planed and they had confirmed all, it would have been quite feasible for me to fly to Corsica and spend some time in Ajaccio. I saw this as a good opportunity to see her without restrictions like on official events and talk to her a little bit if the situation had allowed it.
Maybe we could have made another card like the wedding card, in this case to congratulate on their opening. Just a thought.
....but without any informations I prefer to stay at home.

I don't think they're moving the opening to the second is to fine tune details of the studio. I think it's because they realized it would be on the same day as the Marie Do event and that could result in a smaller crowd for the studio and also a smaller crowd for the Marie-Do and that's something I'm sure they don't want either, because it would take people away from this charitable event.

The results is, now they're going to have the opening on a week day, not a good thing.

The only upside is I'd be surprised if they don't attend the Marie-Do event themselves which would give us some good pictures. If we knew that for sure, that might be a good way for kulli to meet her, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

You could be right about that. It is quite possible they attend the Marie- Do event on Sunday.
The opening is on Monday 3am, the dance classe will not start until 6:30pm. I think during this period the chance would have been a good chance to meet Greg and Alizee in the Dance Studio. I would have liked to give them something, maybe a small gift or another card in the name of the AAm board and all the members and of course I would take photos and if its allowed a video. If I could her one question I would ask what is planed for the future, what can we expect? If she still is interested to make music.
However the information for the opening came to late to get reasonable flights and to plan a few things for this trip. My plan according to flight plans were to fly over the weekend (maybe Friday) and leave on Sunday afternoon or Monday , due to their schedule change I would have missed the opening anyway...

A friend of mine on Facebook sent me a schedule of the school from the school's FB page. (EDIT: I read the message wrong. The schedule I first posted was for the parent's school on the mainland and as far as I know, a schedule for the Alizee's and Greg's school hasn't been posted yet. I deleted the image I first posted with this post.)

I thought at first, this might be a good time to visit there with these two events going on, but there's got to be a lot of stuff going through their heads in preparation for this new school and they probably wouldn't have much time to speak with a visitor as they much as they might want to.

He also sent me the program plan for the Marie-Do event. One event had a familiar name in it that took me a minute to remember who it was. For those who are new here. Pierre Antoine is a dancer and before DALS came along, him and Alizee would post many a picture of the two of them around town, at a dance studio or at lunch or dinner. I used to refer to him as Dancerman 1. I'm quite sure he is gay so there was no romantic link there. He was just one of Alizee's closest friends.

He opened up a dance school in Ajaccio, I think it was roughly around the time Alizee was in DALS give or take a year (I said roughly). I'm not sure of what the name of the school was back then, but I see it is now 'Mademoiselle Piereantoine'. There looks to be one other teacher there by the name of Stella Sciarli and it looks like all the students there are female.

No mention of Alizee or Greg on the Marie-Do program and if they do attend, it will probably be just a brief visit to see some friends.

You are right. It was my mistake. He said " ..... check the Studio de danse Lyonnet at mainland....". I missed the mainland part. I'll edit the previous post to reflect that.

Yes. He opened it up just as Alizée was starting DALS. She wore one of his T-shirts during a couple of the practice videos for DALS.

In addition to being a friend, he was a safe companion. As such he accompanied her on several of her DJ gigs - I'm sure acting as much as a bodyguard as a friend during these times. :)

Shepherd 10-02-2017 11:30 AM

When Alizee joined DALS, she requested a gay dance instructor. Perhaps she was hoping to get Pierre Antoine. Instead, she got Gregorie.

I had missed earlier the caption for one of Jo's pictures. It said "The Mystery Guest of the studio lyonnet." The image of the woman was blurred out, but three comments posted, suggested it was Fauve, which I guess was Fauve Hautot, one of the other dancers during season 4 of DALS. But there's no confirmation from Jo yet if that's who it is.

The blurred out person looks like a brunette. I'm betting it is the dancer Alizée did the 3-dancer routine with during DALS 4. :)

Dance Studios in Ajaccio

For such a small city, there are a lot of dance schools. Some of them belong to Alizee's friends. I hope her opening another competing studio doesn't lose her any friends.

Article of Corse Matin, with a little Video
http://www.corsematin.com/article/aj...ecole-de-danse:

Short translation:

Gregoire says:

He was lucky as his parents both are dance instructors. DALS took him away from teaching, which he did before. And now he has the chance to get back to teach.

Alizée:

Since they meet and became a couple their target and dream was to open a dancing school and settle down. And as she is from Ajaccio, to open it in this city. And they were asked in the last 4 years by many if they would give dancing lessons. And as the kind of dances they offer are not offered in other schools in the city, this would fill a need.

Mademoiselle Piereantoine's school I believe is just off this map to the upper right, about a mile east of Alizee's studio in a sort of sports/casino complex.

Has anyone seen the 'actual' schedule? I would think they'd have it posted by now.

found this interesting article from corsemartin:

On the walls, photographs of Alizée and Grégoire children, during their first galas dance. But also memories of the program Danse avec les stars, among which the note sign number 10 "stolen" to the juror Chris Marques, who "anyway never used it!". Or the formula One love, one life displayed in large print. "We tattooed it on our arm, first with reference to the U2 tube that won us the competition," said the singer, who won the fourth season on TF1, alongside the one she married less three years later, in June 2016.

Always also fusional and driven by his common passion for dance, the couple is starting a new adventure today through the opening of Studio de danse Lyonnet. A project matured for a long time by Grégoire, which thus resumes its primary vocation of the profession of teacher. "My parents are both teachers of dance, and I have been lucky enough to have been in this universe since I was a child and to be a teacher myself at the age of 15," he explains. I then had the exceptional opportunity to make bonuses in front of millions of viewers, four tours of Zeniths, but it was not necessarily my dream at the start, my goal was to become the best in sports dance, beyond the competition, to pass on my passion to others. "

A "complementary" offer

Accustomed to the highest level in his discipline of predilection - he was finalist of the world championships of sports dance - Grégoire Lyonnet thus welcomed with happiness the first ajaccian pupils of its courses, this Monday. "I continue to teach in my parents' school in Romans-sur-Isère, but I have lived in Ajaccio for four years and it was obvious to Alizée and me to open our studio here," he continues. discovered in Corsica a mentality that I adore and, after having traveled a lot, this project also corresponds to a desire to live in a calmer way, while sharing my experience of sporting competition, as of the stage and the show. A beautiful program for the realization of which Alizée will be undeniably, once again, an ally of all time.

If Grégoire will provide the twenty hours of course offered from Monday to Thursday, the former lolita will indeed play the role "assistant". While enriching the studio's activities with its artistic inspiration, notably as part of the preparation of the unmissable gala of end of the year.

She is trained to dance by Monique Mufraggi between the ages of 4 and 17, and Alizée has, according to her husband, "the advantage of having both the pupil's and the student's daughter of 12 years, Annily, having also caught the virus of the dance. "She continues to follow her courses at Choregraphia," says the singer, insisting on the "complementarity" of the offer proposed by Studio Lyonnet. "With sports dance, hip-hop and breakdance, our school focuses on specialties that are not necessarily provided by other establishments in the city," she explains. our courses, just to have a good time. "

Open to all, from the age of 4, Studio Lyonnet's courses are intended to be accessible. "For the first year, the level in sports dance will be beginner, since the discipline was not practiced until now," notes Grégoire. If the seeds of stars are perhaps hidden, the dancer adds that "the goal for adults is to learn in a relaxed way".

Dressed in the outfits with the school logo - an A and a G intermingled, created by the artist Emmanuelle Marcellin - the students and fans of the couple are already well on their way to follow this tempo.

"If Grégoire will provide the twenty hours of course offered from Monday to Thursday,"

So I guess that gives us a pretty good idea of what their hours will be; 4 days a week (Mon - Thurs) and I think I saw some mention before of 5:30 or 5:45 pm. Five hours a night for 4 days; not a bad work load. Gives Greg time to go up to his parents school every now and then.

The only bad thing I saw about the place and I think it might have been mentioned earlier is there doesn't look to be a whole lot of parking right by the studio, but maybe where they open late, some of those other businesses will be closed by then and there is what looks to be a shopping center a couple of blocks away.

Edit:

Looks like we know who the mystery guest was.......

It's funny how I'm totally in the same boat with Ray...

I cannot seem to think anything about this danceschool. Just like Jenny posted months ago I rather see her singing then dancing, but that dream has already crumbled in the past 5-6 years.

I do not feel anything anymore for Alizée. I've spend 17 years as a great fan, but lately the only song I'm able to handle is Alcaline... I haven't heard Gourmandises in years...

They are not at an end, but rather entering a new phase. She has gone through them before. :)

Shepherd 10-18-2017 01:33 AM

When they came up with this great idea to start a dance school, do you think they understood they were going to be working with dance partners who barely came up to their crotch? For this Alizee gave up fame and fortune? I'm suffering traumas of withdrawal. I suppose this is better than the glamorous life of being on the road earning next to nothing.

leto681 10-18-2017 04:21 AM

Perhaps it is not all glamour in the showbiz world, seeing what is currently going on in Hollywood.
Could be that she also had some bad experiences.
She told also in an interview, where someone from a french band she was working with at that time (2004), bragged he would be able to seduce her. And this was making the rounds even to her family, and then she stopped the cooperation.

In this interview she talks about that episode:

http://www.purepeople.com/article/al...ifer_a121063/1

Perhaps she is glad to be out of this for a while. And as she said in the recent interview, that she can always get back to song later.

Although what we see on the stage is glamorous, what happens off stage can be pretty shabby. I'm sure Alizee has been sexually harassed many times, not only by other entertainers and corporate executives but even by her fans.

I suspect she is possibly more sensitive to insults than most people. There is a photo of her sitting in the Sony waiting room before they canceled her contract.
She looks extremely downtrodden. Unfortunately, I never saved that photo. I suspect one of Sony's executives insulted her singing talent, and that is what led to her boycott of further recordings. We know how stubborn she is. Perhaps she has lost confidence in her singing talent. On the other hand, her experiences dancing with Gregorie have run like a fairy tale, so that side of her life has been a phenomenal success. How long that will last is hard to say.

She only has one life and must navigate that according to her will. I don't begrudge her decision to leave the business, but I do mourn her loss.
