You guys are getting hit pretty hard with gas prices. Im paying $3.90
Lucky I live 1 mile away from work and school. I barely use my car (average 20mpg) now I just ride my bike. I dont know if your local news has been talking about building an oil plantation in Florida (which I disagree on) thinking it will lower the nation gas prices. Do you think drilling oil will help lower it? And for how long? |
I paid 4.099 for 89 almost three weeks ago. Monday I figure I'm going to have to fill it up again. $57-$60 every two and a half to three weeks is about the best I can do. I've modded the car as much as I can for better mileage and changed my driving habits. Between Hypermiling and combining my trips I've cut my yearly fuel use by about 400 gallons a year. That is 35% to 40% of the rate I was consuming it just two months ago.
Oh if you guys want to learn how to save money on your fuel bills you should go hang out over at Cleanmpg.com |
Yall need to go Hybrid...or get a Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Toyota Corolla. They are all 33+ MPG. I am getting the Corolla probably. I have a choice between those three.

I want a gas efficient little car. I have no need for hauling or power. However, up until this point I've been pretty much dependent on people providing me with wheels, and will be for a while longer, most likely.

The lowest I've seen it here in Arkansas is 3.81. I only buy about 30 bucks worth though, which means I go places even less than usual. :p It really sucks, but at least its making us not waste gas so much.

I hate it here I am going to make a De Lorean and I am going to go back to the time god was alive and tell him to make gas never exist and make a substitution for it.
