She is getting some income now from product representations so this should help the income. Also, the school seems to be doing well. :)

The only way I see her as possibly being worth more is if her father did a great job of investing her money from her early days. Then $1 million could be possible.

For someone with $50 million, she lives a very modest life. I was thinking she could possibly be worth a million, but not much more. With $50 million, she could afford to repair the crack in her fireplace and why rent an apartment when she could afford to buy the whole building?

It's a great short video, and it shows the obvious joy that Alizee gets from dancing, even when she is not in the direct spotlight. It is hard not to smile when watching her.

That is fun to watch! Alizée has such personality. Not only is she very pretty, of course, but there is something about her that just makes watching her dance (and sing) so much fun. Very few performers have that, in my opinion. They may be talented and have slick dance moves, but they rarely project the joy that Alizée does. She looks real and, at the same time, very special, if that makes sense. I feel like I am enjoying myself as much as she is--she connects with the audience in such a unique way.

It makes a lot of sense. I do think she has a special something.

Her relationship to her professional peers is very telling, and it is apparent there is a lot of comfort level between her and the people she works with. I enclose a short 30 second clip from her in Les Enfoires 2008. The performers were getting a good round of applause after putting on a pretty long set of music that went along with a mock boys vs. girls rugby match. Alizee is the third girl from the left in the red hoodie. Funny! :)

That's another fun video to watch! She always seems to be having such a good time. And the people around her are, too.As you say, everyone seems very comfortable together.

I think it would be hard to accumulate a million in France, which taxes heavily, let alone $50 million. For the rich, the tax rate is about 50%, so Alizee would have had to earn around $100 million so she could keep $50 million. I read an article about Steph Curry of the GS Warriors earlier this week and it went over his financials. His net worth is not even $100 million according to the same site, and he has had a pretty hefty salary for years, championships and MVP bonuses, multiple endorsement contracts for huge companies.

I see where Mylene became the world's No. 1 highest paid singer in 2018 with $82 million for the year (so far). She has an unknown net worth, but I would say it's at least 300 million. There are so many unknowns with Mylene because she is extremely private. Does she have any children? Is or has she ever been married? I think it comes to the point when you are amassing wealth just for the sake of amassing wealth that is becomes purposeless. You can't take it with you and everybody just ends up fighting over your money.

I'm surprised that you listed Mylene as the world's No. 1 highest paid singer. I didn't think she was that popular. I never heard of Mylene until I found Alizee and don't recall her playing in America. I tried to verify your statement on Google, but ran into a problem doing the search. If you Google "highest paid pop singer in 2018 what comes up is a list of singers with the highest net worth. These include such old-timers as Barbara Streisand, Cher, and Dolly Parton whom I don't think have cut an album in years, possibly decades. Katy Perry makes a lot of the lists as the top paid, but it varies from list to list.

Mylene has mystified me for some time because I have almost no interest in her music, and yet she is really popular and produced some of Alizee's best toons. In the video, I posted below the auditorium she plays in is huge and jam-packed. The audience is obviously taken with her. When she calls out to them, she sounds like Alizee (or Alizee sounds like her). The stage set is elaborate, the light show, excellent. It looks like a great show, but the only tune I liked was the first one.

I dropped the ball on this one. I went to the MediaMass site where I got that information, and there was an insert dated today that the story is believed to be false. I was a victim of Fake News :13:

Here is something that is verifiable.

In Paris in June of 2019, she is doing seven shows at the same arena https://www.songkick.com/artists/121125-mylene-farmer
The Paris La Défense Arena is configured to hold 40,000 people for concerts. Here is the Wiki for the Arena.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_La_Défense_Arena

Pressing on the Buy Tickets, it shows the amount of tickets being sold is 38,500 per show. Then it prompts to go to Mylene's site to actually buy them. Three price groups: 105, 155, 185 Euros. Taking an average ticket price of 150 Euros and assuming sell-outs of all the shows, gross proceeds from the seven shows would be 38,500 x 150 x 7 = 40,425,000 Euros. At current exchange rates, that is $45 million USD for seven days of work. Of course she would have to pay for use of the facility and a horde of people to make it all happen, but I would think she would clear at least half the gross amount.

I have respect for Mylene as an artist and entertainer, and if I had the opportunity, I would go to one of her concerts for the experience of it. I don't like many of her songs, but I do like some. Not enough to buy any of her CDs. I wish I knew what it is about her that has totally captivated France while so many other established female artists struggle to stay afloat.

The Admin of AIFC posted this today:

Release on December 21st of the new album of Alizée on all the digital platforms. This is an album of remixes (including an unpublished) songs written by Mylène FARMER and composed by Laurent BOUTONNAT. This officially marks the return of Alizée produced by Mylène Farmer and Requiem Publishing (Sony). It is the same company that will produce in the course of 2019 the albums of JULIA and ALIZEE. If you respond favorably to the purchase of these records, a tour could soon take place ... Buy it massively

Didn't see that coming, although I think a remix album was discussed on AAm. This is a testing of the water. If there's still interest in Alizee and the album moves, we might see some original tunes. Fingers crossed. It's good to see Alizee and Mylene together again. Kuli, thanks for the post. :tb2: :mylene:

I don't expect too much... On the album is only 1 new track, all other were already released and a remix of an existing song can be produced without Alizee.
