Fan videos

I've started this thread for members to share videos they like made by fans. It doesn't have to be their favorite or top notch, all it has to be is something they like.

The Italo disco videos by Vadim Sanderson have done so well and Robert Rhein has put together over a thousand videos. I don't have the time to check them all out, but maybe between us all, we have seen them all and members will post the better ones.

Hopefully members here will see some good ones they haven't seen before.

I'll start off with one put together by a fan I met in Finland. It has images of the location she grew up in which I don't think is wrong to do because she has long since moved from that area.

It also tells how we would feel if we had been living next to her and one day we saw her moving away.

It's called Next door Alizée.

I can't help but imagine what it would be like to be living next to her for so long, then have her move off?

My response would be:

:damn:

then

:whine:

and finally

Here is a compilation of assorted Alizee smiles and silliness that I uncovered recently.

I can't remember if anyone put together a similar video for Dals?

Aragorn97 05-05-2020 05:31 PM

Seeing Tal reminded me of this video:

My favourite part is the clip that starts at 1:16.

Do you have the Dals video where that moment at 1:16 happened?

Yes, you have already given it to me ;) (thank you again!)

I used part of this video for one of the interviews with Alizee. Here is the whole performance with an interview afterwards in retro style. As much as I “damaged” the video, Alizee still shines like a ray of sunshine. :)

Well it's probably very apprapos for France Gall whose early performances were in black and white. Even though Ella, Ella was released in 1988, there is a black and white video of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgHGU8gqz9U

Here's another b&w video;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cv9NIzGmSI

Here's another song of hers I like;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXsox2-70VE

Here's another song of hers I liked which in later years, Alizée also sang;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbXFIuXHEKE

But getting back to Alizée's performance of Ella Ella, is there any cuter moment of her than this one here?

For me, it’s a very special performance from Alizee, because with that video Alizee came into my life 6 months ago.
She sings, dances with a smile and we can feel the good vibe in the studio because the audience sincerely adores her. I wish I was there too...

It was another amazing moment in a sea of amazing moments from her. Though the first video I saw of her was La Isla Bonita, I wasn't very impressed with that because it was a Madonna song. However the next performance I watched was ML in Amsterdam and it was the one that changed my life and it's obvious to see, this huge crowd adored her too.

I visited that place one time, as I've done with other places she's performed just to get a sense of what it must've been like.

A beautiful song by Shania Twain. Beautiful Alizee in the video and a crazy guy from Croatia who mixed it all up. :)

Alizee in slow motion, I wouldn’t want to be responsible for a heart attack. :)
Of course I'm kidding. Alizee is beautiful as usual and this is my new video. I hope you will like it.

Very nicely done joebanana. I think this has to be your best one yet! I'll post it to our FB page.

Thanks, I always try to make something completely different in the next video. Some of them are good and some are not, but I personally like this one the most

I feel both of these too. The sad part is easy to understand. The song is sad by nature; "Where are you now?".

As far as it being nostalgic, I think that will apply to some people. For me, the thing I keep hoping for is a return to the "early years"; the years with her singing, LB writing the music and MF writing the songs. That was such a magical era.

Since then, there has been a lot I've enjoyed from SAGA to Dals to Les Enfoires, a few of her songs such as Alcaline, K.O. Je veux bien and a couple more along with some tv shows, but it hasn't been the same, good, but not on a par with those early years.

To be sure she's older and doesn't have that teenage figure any more, but I think there is still a lot of talent there that I believe only MF/LB can bring to it's full potential and until that happens, a video like this will make me feel nostalgic for those early years.

So that "Where are you now", makes me sad, makes we wonder when will we see again, the full potential of Alizée?

I really love that song but it’s a little sad.
I made that video look a bit nostalgic because I think there are a lot of longtime fans who miss the golden times of Alizee’s career which doesn’t mean it’s over. Only one period has ended, but each end is also a new beginning.
I discovered Alizee very late (about a year ago) and in that year everything happened. The birth of a baby, an appearance on the TV show "Jaka to melodia", a vinyl album, a make-up thing.
You never know with Alizee how things are (I think that’s also part of her charm) so I wouldn’t be surprised by a new album either.
She’s no longer a teenager but she’s still young (And as we can see from her last pictures very pretty) So don’t take the video too seriously. I looked at it at least 100 times while I made it. :)
It consists of various parts of pictures, videos ...a lot of work.
Here is what that video looks like on my video editing software
(You can see half of it because it doesn't fit all on the screen)

joebanana 10-20-2020 01:19 PM

For this video to change the context I had to do a remix of the song "Lily".
I know it's not like Laurent Boutonnat did it because I'm not a composer but I think it's ok. :)

This video isn’t made to please everyone, especially not people who don’t like classical music but I made it anyway because I like the blend of Alizee from the early days of her career and Alizee close to the present.
I also love to broaden people’s horizons, who knows maybe this video inspires someone to make some really spectacular video dedicated to Alizee (I’d love to see that).
My knowledge of video editing is limited so often the reality is different from what I wanted to do but I certainly don’t do it for some commercial reasons but for fun
(I hope I make other people’s day better sometimes).
Like I said my knowledge of video editing is not top notch but I know a few tricks so if anyone wants to try to make their own video I will be very happy to help them.

I also tested that software 2 months ago.
I tried to set the settings to max quality and process the video which consisted of 16000 frames. The software had to process each frame individually, it is a process that lasted over 24 hours and ended with a 45 gigabyte file. :sstruck:
After that I processed that video with Hybrid and converted it to 60FPS.
I reduced it to 2GB (It can probably be reduced less but I left it at 2GB because I was curious how it would turn out).
The software does a great job if the original is of decent quality because if the video is blurry you can get a very strange result like "Demon Face".
For example image number 1 where Alizee's face is blurry if you try to improve that image to max you get great results with skin, dress, color but if you zoom in on the face you get "Demon Face" because the software can hardly reconstruct the face if the original is blurry.
The Topaz video AI works on the same principle, so I noticed that sometimes (Not always) when you pause the video, an Anomaly appears, mainly due to the blur caused by the sudden movement.
Video quality is beautiful and if we exclude the time required for processing and these anomalies the software does a great job.
The video clip is below the pictures.

Oh my lord... you really were not exaggerating at all when you called it "Demon Face"...

Edit:

Of course the picture is there for educational purposes otherwise it would end up in the trash, Alizee has a great sense of humor so I believe that would make her laugh.

For me, it goes beyond the dress colors. Most Alizee fan videos are covers. They take a song they like and stitch Alizee clips to it. Nothing wrong with that. But you took an extremely beautiful ten second clip of Alizee and elevated it an another level. The music was fitting. You added some special effects but was not distracting. The video was short and sweet. I am impressed. :)
