Alizée's signature "Penguin" move!

I don't know why I haven't made this thread before, but here it finally is.

During J.B.G. En Concert, Alizee does some pretty spy-girl-type moves, which would be expected. But there is one move she does that just sticks out and catches one's eye. So now I present to you, Alizee's signature "Penguin" move!

All you have to do is go to 2:20 in the video below! Prepare to be amazed!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. At least in my opinion...
J.B.G. > JEAM
:D

J.B.G. > JEAM
:D

Woh, that's pretty drastic! But I can....somewhat...see where you're coming from :13:

SpanishFan 08-15-2011 11:02 AM

It looks to me more of a "snake move"... But "penguin move" sounds funnier!

Azhiri 08-15-2011 07:36 PM

PANGUIN!

Every dance Alizee gets to do looks like soooo much fun.

Eh, I don't know about that, but I am greatly saddened that the JBG dance wasn't performed more often. JEAM was performed to DEATH and inspired people to do so who shouldn't have been inspired..

*coughcoughhackvomit*
*dies*

I'm befuddled as to why only JEAM and JPVA were danced to, while JBG wasn't.

user472884 08-15-2011 10:52 PM

Not to sound too Jungish but I'd hardly call that a "penguin" move. I'm with SpanishFan on this one.

On the other hand, lol at the youtuber name who posted the video.

There are more versions of those two, whereas the En Concert version of JBG tends to...cut... in bad places (as aforementioned by another member on this very forum) so it's hard to catch every detail and pretty much unavoidable to miss the smallest step. Perhaps for the better, as I find it a very cute move that I don't want to see disgraced by some guy in his living room.

Rev 08-21-2011 04:14 AM

Time for a GIF. :)

Rictor 08-21-2011 04:16 PM

I don't know..."Penguin cute" and "Alizée cute" seem to be two different kinds of cute.

I find that my senses get overwhelmed whenever I watch any Alizée performance. It takes a while to process all that cuteness. I just end up giggling a lot (in private, of course).

Also, I thought penguins waddle?

Don't click this.

SpanishFan 08-21-2011 07:08 PM

Maybe this is the definitive "penguin move" (1:24 - 1:27)

No, that's just Alizee doing what Mylene told her to :))

Rev 08-22-2011 02:47 AM

I've got to go with A31, as it is the only one I could call a true penguin move. :)

rcs 08-22-2011 03:57 AM

I don't know, I think Spanish Fan might be on to something. Me like. :2_thumbs:

Taxi Driver Aaron 09-26-2011 03:44 AM

Hi everyone, my name is Aaron and I am new to the forum, however I have been reading the threads for a few months. I don't know why it took me so long to join but this thread compelled me to finally interact....

Okay, now that I got my introduction out of the way... I just want to say that I was LMAO from some of your comments...

LOL!... I can just picture Maylene saying "jiggle like a penguine or else! :pissed:" ... she probably said that too.

LOL!... and it's still sexy as hell!!!!....

Whether she jiggles, wiggles, waddles, snakes, or flops.... it doesn't matter to me... it's all sexy...

I can only hope that we will continue to see more of it in the future. lately she has been dancing less and looks as though she is probably lacking choreography for her new albums now that she's no longer working with Maylene.

Some of Alizee's best songs don't have choreography... I mean, can you imagine what J.B.G would be like if she was just standing there singing? ...

Case in point, take a look at the song "L'Alize" ...

<center><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cczicacab4U?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed]></center>

Maylene must have goofed and didn't put together a dance for it because everytime Alizee performs it she appears to "wing it." It looks like she is trying to frankenstein miscellaneous parts of "J'ai pas vingt ans" with the waddle from "Moi... Lolita"... lol... okay okay.. I didn't mean for that to sound so bad... If you are reading this, I love you Alizee... I don't care if you dance or not... in fact one of my favorite songs is the live performance of La Javanaise!

Alizee did say in an interview that she hopes that her fans have been faithful and are still around even though she retired for a while... well, dancing or not.. we are not going anywhere... but dancing is preferred, I miss the dancing.. :P ...

Sorry for this long post... I been sitting silently for a long time and I had to let go of my emotional constipation!... LOL!<br><br><br>

Thanks Aaron!... by the way, Awesome name!... :2_thumbs:

I think I've read posts from you dating back to the stone ages... by the way, I think some updates should be made to some of these posts and now that I have joined the forums I may inadvertently bump some of the old posts with comments that I refrained from added before... But I suppose that is better than adding new posts with the same topics.
