Watching Alizée Live... After Waiting Sooo Many Years !!

Hi to all Alizée Fans...

I'm just wondering.... Can you describe the feeling of watching Alizée live after waiting for sooo many years?
_____

As for me, it almost brought tears to my eyes, as I watched that webcam stream play... One by one, the frames rolled, and (although I hated the guy on NRJ for blocking her face from sight with his big head most of the time) I couldn't believe my eyes watching Alizée stepping in the studio and just sitting there... in front of all of us, her diehard fans.

Yesterday, I started listening to the NRJ broadcast from around 4am (Paris time), and watching their webcast. The studio was pretty much empty then (just one guy sitting and playing music I guess), but even then, I could feel my pulse racing. Then, I thanked moi-alizee.us (and it especially goes to brad), for putting up the enlarged view of the webcam, which refreshed with perfect intervals. Hours passed by, the show "Le 6/9" started, and I could feel that the wait is almost becoming unbearable. Like, we waited I dont know how many days and nights for this very special moment, but it's each those last minutes that felt like ages.

To all my restlessness, each time the host of the show uttered the name Alizée and each time parts of "Moi Lolita" sounded playing, I could feel a cool breeze-like sweetness passing by, and I calm myself saying: "It's near". I kept visualizing that clip from Alizée's visit to Japan, sitting in a radio station, smiling at something with her all-time cuteness.

Her voice:
No, I'm not talking about the brilliant voice of the singer that you hear in the singles "MJ" or "50/60". It's the voice of the 'person', Alizée, which was then playing live on NRJ radio. Anyone who watched the Fun TV interview, or any other interview, more than one time can right away distinguish that the voice is now more matured, though it never lost the least sweetness. In fact, I think that Alizée's voice has become more intoxicating than it ever was.

When her brief smiles sounded her presence in the studio (before her introduction by the host), my heart was simply filled with joy, and I felt like cheering out her name, even before the host utters, "ALIZÉEEEEEEE!!".

She finally spoke: "Merci", and lit up my world, and then, continued on softly, but vibrantly. It was still that same old accent of hers saying "Oui" in that extra cute way. Her words, her laughter, even the little breaks with her silences (especially when she was asked about Mylene) - everything about that interview, simply overwhelmed my heart, with a mingled feeling of joy and devotion.

I'm still listening to the recorded interview, over and over again.

Thank you Alizée ... for giving me a very special moment to cherish for a long time.

Well - it was listening to her, more than watching her, that really lit me up. I was too busy frantically typing to be watching the webcam much. To be honest though, everything I needed came in the very first moment, before they even introduced her, when I heard her tell-tale giggle in the background of some joke the DJ said.

That was all I needed. That told me she was back, and that things were all ok. It felt like fingers going down my spine, and it was nothing but adreneline from there on. I'm still able to feel it, a day later!

Is it possible that someone captured a stream of the interview? I missed it (/slaphand).

thanks in advance :)

Agreed. Her voice has become slightly deeper, and she has replaced a little bit of the cuteness with sheer audio-sex-appeal, as in, she has a massively sexy voice, quite possibly the sexiest voice I've heard. Her 'bonjour' at the beginning of the interview could melt any man's heart.

Oui, c'est vrai et c'est vraiment incroyable.

As i watched, i saw a chick w/ her head down, and wondered if it was her. Then it refreshed w/ her face up, and I heard her laugh. The laugh really was what marked the day imo.

Yeah, Cooney hadn't seen her yet and was saying she was still out of view to the right. I'm like, hey isn't that her sitting right there?! Then the frame changed a couple times and got a good shot of her smiling up at us before sweaterboy permanently blocked the sun! Then we heard little faint giggles and I knew for certain it was her. Even that slight sound and you can recognize the voice. Then, well, you hear it on the replay...
Fortunately, those guys were really cool and quickly got several high quality pictures up. You know all this. It's hard to stop narrating it though.
Later on someone posted the picture of her out front... When's the video? October 26th? Man I WANT TO SEE THAT!

DannyMac524 09-27-2007 11:36 PM

I love to listen to her talk almost as much as listening to her music. She has a sweet friendly sexy voice. I love the way she says "oui". She has a cute laugh. She has a "La prochaine porte de fille" sound.

Steven0022 09-27-2007 11:40 PM

Lili is definitly mesmorizing from her sexy looks and even more from her super sexy voice. She has me in a trance every time i hear or see her!!

Capn 09-27-2007 11:40 PM

well you didn't miss much of a video the webcam updated like once every 40 seconds and she was blocked by sweater boy half the time

Deepwaters 09-28-2007 12:46 AM

What I felt was that I was finally seeing an image that matched my sense of who she is, rather than who she was 3-4 years ago. That current that flows when I look into her eyes is 10 times stronger in these pictures than in the old ones, where it always seemed to me to be muted by the years.

After all, I didn't know her in the old days, so those old videos and images are all before my time (as it were). This is real.

rwd716 09-28-2007 01:28 AM

It can feel like you were there b4 just by how familiar w/ the old vids u r. But this is tite, to actually be a part of this in real time, lol.

There's only word to describe the event that happened at NRJ radio in Paris, France on Sept 27, 2007....PRICELESS!! .....and the BEST IS YET TO COME!! :D:eek:

It's her voice I originally fell in love and it still is... it's just so lovely. I can waste hours and hours listening to it...

I know what you mean, her voice is what always attracted me the most. If you do spend hours and hours listening to her, they are hours well wasted.

atra201 09-28-2007 02:05 PM

I can't wait for that to happen
even though I may not be able to see it and would just burst in flames when that happens

We old people need our beauty sleep. Ed got his... I missed mine.

I tried to stay up, but I only had 3 hours of sleep from night before, so I was going on...like...48 hours with only 3 hours sleep. So I crashed at midnight, woke up to my Alarm clock at 220 AM....and made the show:wub:

Then I crashed again at 330, got up at 615 and went to work. Got home, did some chores...and finally hit the sack at about 1130PM. Almost 72 hours and only 3, 2, and 3 hours sleep. I got 7 last night....whew...and plan on a big crash this weekend.

It was wonderful experience. Brad made it so convenient with the webcam and audio link on the home page. It was eerily quiet on the boards, then I noticed the chat link. Logged on and what a zoo! The crowd was insane with anticipation, everyone about ready to explode, it was great:D . When she entered the studio my heart skipped and my eyes got blurry (there must have been something in them).

She still sounds as sweet and she may be more beautiful - I don't know how:wub: . To see her "live" for the first time - words cannot express what she means to me and the debt I owe Alizée - if only I could express my gratitude to her.

Thank you Brad and all of you for giving me a place to gush, sorry.

Tye 09-28-2007 05:03 PM

I like being able to experience all this in real time instead of having to experience it after it happened. I am not complaing though, because experiencing Lili even while she was on break was amazing.:)

Ange 10-01-2007 03:14 AM

well for me something told me to look her up again and I am glad I did because I truely thought that she wouldn't make another album and to hear two new songs is great!

Honestly, I don't know why people doubted she would come back. She's been telling us for over a year now that a new album was in the works. What reason was there not to believe it?

Sometimes I think the Wizard's First Rule is true: People believe things not because of the evidence, but because it's either what they want to be true, or what they fear might be.

Capn 10-01-2007 11:55 AM

well I guess 3 years is a long time and she had a kid so I guess most people assumed she gave up on her career to raise her daughter

I'm not sure where the "Wizard" part of that rule comes from, but that's a fairly solid rule of thumb for life. People, on the whole, don't want to deal with reality. They want to deal with their version of it.

A pretty good fantasy novel that was the first in what turned out to be a mediocre series. ;) I liked the concept of the WFR, though.

Oh, definitely. We are not a rational species unless we work at it.

To doubt that Alizée was coming back has made zero logical sense since she passed that note at the end of March '06. There have been delays since then, and disappointments, but that she was returning in the end could only be doubted through inverse wishful thinking.

That's what I've said all along, and now we know it's true. :p

I read in the AF that someone heard this "sound" from Alizée in the interview, like if she doesnt care about fans, when they asked about the fans she said : afff, like a weight she has to carry, i dont know, i didnt hear anything, so i ask u guys if u actually heard it in the interview . . thx for ur answers

Sorry for my bad english:(

I didn't hear it, and whatever sound she may have made, that's the most ridiculous interpretation of it I can think of. She does things for her fans nobody has to do, things she really doesn't have time for but she makes the time. To suggest she doesn't care about her fans is just absurd.

(Don't worry about your English. We can understand you. ;))

Tye 10-02-2007 04:01 PM

I didn't hear that sound.

And as Deepwaters said, don't worry about your English. We can understand you.:)

rcs 10-02-2007 10:30 PM

She seems to care about her fans I think. Hmmm, it's been said that she still lingers around on various fansites to see what is going on about her. Of course, if she were strictly business minded, she would do that anyway. But, I think not.

We have a "sound" no one seems to be able to hear implying a state of mind that would require absurd inferences to result in the state implied by what you read. It's worse than a he said she said he heard comment. In almost all cases, the original source is a troll.

And I know about trolls, because I'm an Ogre...and I've had to smash my share of trolls in my day, for sure.

Although I don't think the request has any merit, I will take this time to comment on the subject. Alizée has a rich history of accepting, adoring, and loving her fans. Read the interviews. Watch her public appearances. Read the FIRST HAND accounts. Hundreds of hours of public interface. And not one....NOT ONE case have I seen, heard, or experienced where Alizée ever said, did, or inferred anything negative toward her fans.

So the next time someone said someone heard that Alizée made some sound that inferred the fans were a burden, don't even give it your time of day. Because balanced against all the bondafide evidence to the contrary, it is a waste of energy and a waste of time.

Well, not a complete waste of time, because it does let me talk about all the great things Alizée does for her fans. And that's a good thing, and I enjoyed writing it. So while Ogre's can sometimes feed trolls....they only do it to get the extra weight points when the Ogre finally smashes 'em.

Capn 10-03-2007 12:35 PM

um I didnt hear a sound like that at all thats insulting to even say something like that her reply to her question about her fans felt like she felt bad for being away from us more than anything
