Interesting Alizée items
This first one is a press kit - a GIANT CD holder seems the size of a record album lp . Autographed too - 500,00 €

The first two are definitely legit, the third one seems fishy. I don't remember any official Alizée stickers being marketed.

I'd tend to agree before after all the discussion on bootlegs in the other topics of mine . I really think no one would make stickers as they wouldn't sell enough to make it profitable . Something to look into , perhaps it is in the PDF of the book . Framed Gold Disc i found on an ebay type site in France . They also have 2 of Lorie pretty inexpensive too @ 20€ ! http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/8603/golddisc.jpg The fishpin which i'd love to get and keychain is pretty cool too . I know these aren't very unique but i don't recall seeing good sized pics of 'em here yet . http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/9531/fishpin.jpg http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/2258/keychainl.jpg Alizée songs are featured on two video games Mademoiselle Juliette is on this one http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/2316/0132515091.jpg Moi Lolita is on this and it comes with the dance pad http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/5171/8913038319.jpg |

There seems to have been over the years quite a few different prepaid phone calling cards with Alizée images on them . I'd wondered if some were used without her permission and i'd guess this answer that question -
A phone card on ebay with a fake Alizée image on it . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-TELECAR...item43cc2cbb71 |

Alizée American Bistro
While not an item per say interesting none the less , perhaps a good location for an Alizée America get together . http://www.foxtrotmedia.com/wp-conte...imore.com_.jpg http://www.alizeebaltimore.com/ Quote:

Alizée dog collar . . .
http://s020.radikal.ru/i717/1407/a4/be36e270a4a8.jpg :clown: It's a lanyard but an Alizée dog collar obviously in any sense seems a good idea to me . |
I'd love to get one of those patches too.

Wow, where do you find all those things?
Hope it doesn't sound discouraging, I like looking at them quite a lot ^^ . Although I doubt if I could afford them... |
Here are a couple of rare ones. How long has it been since they sold cassette tapes?

As for MCE and Gourmandises tapes, I've seen them even on Polish auctions (sold at regular prices) once or twice so I thought they weren't so rare...

Mostly the items i've posted in this topic are things i find on ebay like as in stuff i'd not seen before . . . Some on ebay France or the same site different name - priceminister - but since many of those sellers won't ship outside France i tend to be discouraged even looking there . Many above are the lesser seen or known about ( to me ) items or simply as the title put interesting ( to me anyway ) items . Not discouraging at all , most of her stuff is relatively cheap which isn't to sound like it's all affordable to everyone as i know money can be spent more wisely on important items . Then again 10 bucks for a lighter is kinda ridiculous to pay so much for , 50 bucks for a lanyard and so on . . . Thanks for the reply/s , keeps me interested . As for cassettes - til i sold my last car which had a tape player i'd wanted to get a few of hers . . Also i was wondering recently if in some of the lesser technologically advanced countries if they still used older tech like tapes more than say the generation of those who are now in the US who grew up with cd/dvd . I'd guess yes on that as i'm sure that tape players/recorders are abundant and affordable . Then again probably just as many countries skipped right over tapes . . I dunno . . . Also i wonder if some tapes are bootleg as in not officially licensed material , guessing some aren't legit . |
Here's a couple of things picked up in my travels.

Nope its a Boeing E-3 Sentry more commonly known as AWACS, look carefully at the pitot tube on the vertical tail synonymous to a 707. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_E-3_Sentry Quote:

I first purchased one of these from Hamleys in London back in 2003. They were selling these things in a small outlet on the 4th floor where you could have any photo/image you wanted imbedded into the glass as long as it was HQ. So I went back a couple of days later with this La isla Bonita image on a floppy disk ( hehe ) and voila.
I actually got this one here online some years later though.. http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/2...izecrystal.jpg it was lazer technology and maybe they're still doing these things if anyone is interested in having one, I dunno. Quote:

I picked up this oddity from Russia on eBay. With little to no details from the seller, it piqued my curiosity and I figured it was worth a few bucks to find out more about this strange item.
http://i.imgur.com/8HEKSwL.jpg My suspicions were correct that this cassette was produced during the MF-era, but I was surprised to discover that most of the tracks of this "greatest hits" compilation were simply a direct rip from MCE, with a handful of Moi... Lolita and L'Alizé remixes thrown in at the end... very strange. The cassette itself seems to be a generic tape for consumer dubbing, and bears no unique markings. I can't say for sure if this cassette was legally produced (my best guess is no), but interestingly there is a disclaimer on the inner cover warning that unauthorized copying is prohibited, which I find more than just a little ironic. |

I have some other Russian / Ukraine music media myself and . . well . . . usually the ones with the certain holograms are like licensed in some way by someone somewhere . Which isn't to suggest anything as in whats legit or not just an observation from other artists items i have which are official releases . Is the hologram on cover plastic , hard plastic or tape itself ? Also funny you mention the Russian one as i've been wondering if the Ukraine tape is legit ?All this reminds me there is a good show on some insight into the Russian music scene called How The Beatles Rocked The Kremlin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sw6OCDiKLQ

Classification: NATO UNCLASSIFIED releasable to INTERNET Good morning Sir, please excuse my late reply to your inquiry but I was otherwise involved and had no time to take care of it. There is a very simple explanation to how and why the patch was created back in the days. Alizee was some years ago in Mazar-e-Sharif to "entertain" the troops with her famous music. Based on that event numerous patches from all different units working down there were created with using the red fish as a symbol for Alizee. There was never an official patch created based on that. Please contact me for any further questions... Best Regards, Stabsfeldwebel Ingo Senft, OW3B Deutsche Luftwaffe No. 3 Squadron EXEC / NATO medal POC / ST-scheduling Deputy CSE ST Evaluator Ext: 0049/2451-63***** Mobile: 0049/157316***** Now I find it hard to believe she was in Afghanistan, mainly because I'm sure we would've heard about it. If she did go , it would have been mostly to support French troops, but most likely she would have seen troops from several countries. Still I don't believe she was there and am wondering if this guy is just b s ing me or has her confused with someone else. |
Mentioning the red fish makes it pretty clear that he is talking about Alizée. However, I agree with you that the location is suspect. Then again, you never know. Often these types of activities are not advertised. She would have been 18 at the time, a perfect age to go see the troops, so who knows.
What is interesting is that he said that there were several different patches made by various groups. Perhaps another patch will turn up. :) |
But if she saw the troops when she was 18, why does this patch say 2012? That's got to be the year. Of course like you said, he said several patches supposedly were made. Next time I see her, I'll have to ask her.
|
The best possibility is that you talked to a lunatic old man I think. Im very curious now.
|
Scruffydog, you've got to love the Military the commanding generals secretary probably passed it down to the NCO that sent you the reply. At least they were nice enough to spend the time on the response. :)
|
Maybe if Jenny saw this, I could ask her to give him a call, telling him "We need confirmation!". Being from Germany might give her some extra pull. I'd pay for the call. Of course some guys from Seal team 6 might show up at her front door the next morning but those are the risks you take when you're an Alizée fan.

Talking of Alizée stuff from the East, this one is from Ukraine:

As for more legal stuff, a few weeks ago I became a proud owner of a Gourmandises tape. Got no device to play it, though  [img] Quote:
