[2016-06-18]Alizée and Grégoire's Wedding
Hello, Alizée got married Grégoire this 06/18/16.
It's done! :) All Dals's team is in Corse and a good friend of Alizée posted... Edit: I can't post the URL because of my number of message. This morning Fauve Hautot ( dals dancer) spoke about a marriage before deleting its tweet. Plus, several Ajacciens saw Alizée and her family & friends front of " la mairie" (city hall) for the wedding. I specify I'm french. |
A couple of us have heard it was going to happen today too. We were just waiting for someone else, hopefully official, but in this case maybe not official, but probable. to post something first. Supposedly the time was 5pm Ajaccio time.
By the way Marinafuego, thank you for your post! |
I am very happy for her - for both of them.
:**::**: Congratulations. :**::**: By the way, pictures will get out - sooner or later. I wouldn't worry about it. This is not a private issue in the way some items are private. A wedding is a declaration to the world that 2 have chosen to join, and to live their lives together. Let us all wish them well. Rev |
So what tops the lion tamer show: a wedding.
Congratulations Alizee and Gregorie. |
I couldn't be happier for her and Greg.
|
I'm excited for them. Congrats A&G!
And welcome to Marinafuego, thanks for the info! |

Katy Perry, yep. There is a resemblance. Those are the sexiest bridesmaids gowns I've ever seen. I want more photos. :) |
She's the most beautiful bride! And she looks so happy! A real princess! I was so excited when I saw all these wedding photos today, I looked more often on my phone at work then I ever did before ha ha. Inside I was screaming of joy!

I can't help but wonder, were they married by a priest? Someone mentioned that they saw them getting married at city hall, yet one picture shows her signing a book next to a priest in a church, so two questions. Did it take place in the church and if not, were they married by a priest? The picture where he's putting a ring on her finger will give the answer. Time to look through my archives...

I wonder if Alizée is now officially Alizée Lyonnet. I like the sound of that. :) I don't think she kept her maiden name any longer, with Jeremy it was different anyway because they didn't marry in France. But with Grégoire... I bet she would be super proud and happy to call herself Madame Lyonnet.

In France, you must have a civil wedding before a religious one (we can have only a civil one). So they first went to the city hall and then to a church.

Two questions remain.... When are we going to get some video and.... what would make a good wedding present???? I've been thinking about this for a while. At first I thought of maybe some food products from this country such as when I lived in Savannah, the pralines were awesome and I've thought of other great food items from different parts of the country or even other parts of Europe where many of our members are from, but as I found out recently with trying to send a gift to Chez Paulo, the time it takes to ship a gift like this, just about rules it out. But just today, I thought of a gift. It's something I don't think they have and I think it's something they would all 3 enjoy. I don't want to tip my hand so I'll only share this idea via e-mail. I'll share my idea with Ray so those of you who want to contact him, feel free to do so or contact me at scruffydog777@gmail.com . |

I didn't like that at first, well I didn't like the fact that Alizée was teaming up with anyone though because I wanted to see her dance by herself like in her tv perfs etc. Offcourse I never knew what DALS was about at that time, but nonetheless when I finally got my head around her teaming up with a male dancer I assumed he must be gay as he was a dancer!!! Anyway he shot down many fans dreams and fantasies that they might ever have had about Alizée being their woman after J man. Nonetheless at the same time he made her happy again and so we were happy that he made her happy and we were happy for her despite our delusions. I do respect Greg for stealing Alizée's heart, we know she has a kind heart that's open to anyone but it was Greg who stepped up to the plate and that takes more courage than you could believe. |

Like prince and princess from a fairy tale. |
Alizee got her wedding gown from Jenny Packham, a British fashion designer who dresses Kate Middleton and is known primarily for her bridal gowns. I guess this explains all those trips Alizee took to London in the last two months.
Peanut brittle is a gift Alizee would probably appreciate. She has a sweet tooth. |

Congratulations to the lovely couple. She looks absolutely gorgeous. They look very happy, I wish them the best and a happy, healthy marriage.
|
That's quite amazing. Haven't been here for a week! She won't read this but let's hope this lasts.
|
I haven't seen this picture before. The wedding (s) were held at the town hall and the Cathedral. This picture doesn't look to be near either of them. Maybe it was at the reception? Has anyone figured out or heard where the reception was? If not, I'll have to fire up my Google Earth tomorrow. It also looks like they had a good amount of security, though it looked to be local friends. That kind of looks like Jean Baptiste Paulo in the background.

Yes, town hall in Ajaccio, and the chapel is in the small town of Villanova, a little north of Ajaccio. It's an old town, very small, and on a hill. I think the only road is the one that passes through, so you have to walk a bit to get to the chapel. I think the photo is from within the town. Then the reception was on the coast just north of the town. The magazine names an inn, but I don't think that's where it was. |
I believe that there were two weddings: one in the Ajaccio municipal offices (before the citizens of France), and the second at the church (before God). And then the reception. :)

Wow! Not having access to a home computer is a shock, after being able to come here and see that Alizée got married!
My most sincere, belated congratulations to the happy couple. Thank you everyone for the pictures and translations. |
Jeremy Tattoo
I very vaguely recall something being said on this site about Alizee having removed the tattoo on her left wrist that was dedicated to her first husband, Jeremy, but I hadn't noticed the change in her photos until this evening. Her wrist is usually covered with a bracelet. It appears the removal wasn't complete, and remains as a smudge.

It takes five or six visits to the dermatologist office to get a tattoo fully removed. Lucky for her black is the easiest color to get rid of. You have wait six to eight weeks between laser sessions for the best results. Pastels colors are the hardest to deal with. Think Tinkerbell on her back.
