Video of the day!

So the idea for this thread would be to put one video a day [of course Alizée’s video]! And so it is the video of the day!

So preferably one video a day - who has time first! But as you know, here in AA it’s not quite that accurate!

In addition to this, you can tell us why that particular video!

And then of course the video can always be discussed more that day!

Let's get started... :13:

April 24, 2021, video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8uoyPZhuUw

I think the theme of this video is great and is especially suitable on Fridays, Saturdays or weekends! The theme of the video is festive and gorgeous! But it doesn’t take itself too seriously though!

Very high quality implementation and really good music video! Feels like a bit that a video or even a song hasn’t become quite as popular as it should have been?

In fact, as many know, I really can’t say anything about Alizée, which would definitely be the best... So I have to say at least the 10 live performances, outfits, songs, etc.! And even that is difficult!

But..... But..... I think this J’ai Pas Vingt Ans is perhaps Alizée’s best official music video! Can I even say that? Especially because of the legend, J’en Ai Marre is sure to challenge it in this class too, at least close!

But if not as a whole, then at least in the technical implementation I would say that this JPVA is even the best!

I listen to this practically several times a day! But unfortunately I have had to force myself not to watch this video sometimes for familiar reasons (= I watched "too much")! :secret:

---

Comment on the video now if anyone has anything to say! :thumb:

I think it's a good idea, but I think having a video of the day would be too much for the number of active members we have here. Some of us can't be in here every day. Maybe a video of the week or it could be videos of the week with members putting in more than one if they want is more doable?

I actually thought exactly the same thing. :13:

But on the other hand, I also thought that “day” is somehow better. And when I developed the idea, I thought it didn’t even matter if there were new videos every day.

A week or even a month could, of course, be better at starting and getting a conversation.

Must follow the development of the thread...:)

I see that. I first looked at it and thought, we don't have enough members at this point to have a thread where a video is posted everyday where we can expect to have members comment on each one, but as you point out, video of the day does not mean that a video "has" to be posted everyday. That'll work!

It seems that Boudennat was the director of the JPVA clip. And he's got the camera flying around the set.

I think the reason that you like the JPVA clip is because of the eye contact--- Alizee is making direct eye contact with you throughout 90% of the video. (She likes you!)

To better appreciate the eye contact, watch the JPVA clip at 1/2 speed.

AlizéeSuperFanFIN 04-25-2021 03:44 PM

^Just like that!

And of course old videos can be commented on later!:)

Well now I'll put on the next video too! :D

25.04.2021 Video of the day:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jlYB5ielJ8

This is awesome and fits the holy day, it somehow brings a religious vibe. Probably because of the background dancers.:w: (I don’t know at all if these background dancers are somehow related to a religious idea, but I get this impression!) [Of course, Alizée’s outfit is also a bit of that style in this performance.]

I'm wondering that how religious Alizée and her relatives are? Probably a pretty ordinary believer, but not passionate, as usual in those areas...

I don’t listen to this Ella Elle L'a very often, but when I listen, I enjoy it a lot! I have tried to listen to the other versions, such as France Gall, Kate Ryan, but I do not really like them. Although I like French.

Maybe I'm just so Alizée enchanted - :)(: like under her spell, :sstruck: and I am really happy that I am! :p:scrunch: :p

But you are definitely right! That look and presence is amazing!

Sure everything is, I love to watch as she stands, doing dance moves and those boots, fits her amazing legs and feet!

This part here of Ella Elle l'a, ranks up there with my favorite moments with that incredibly cute look, then I love that deep nasal French accent around the 2:00 mark. Also looks like there is a nose scrunch at 1:59.

^She is literally cute in it!:p

So... :13:

Not two without a third!;)

On April 26, 2021, we go into the world of fan videos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7OQRo2Paas

When I found Alizée, Youtube recommended this great video "Alizée Is The Queen" of Robert Rhein many times to me.

The reason may simply be that it is one of the channel's most popular videos?

I just realized I haven’t watched it in a long time, :)(:so today it’s good to watch again!:)

AlizéeSuperFanFIN 04-29-2021 09:34 AM

In the middle of a heavy week, it’s good to have a great and soothing video in this “video of the day” thread!

29. April 2021:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MshULZzbpc0 :p

So what could be better than the awesome En Concert Gourmandises live!? :p

One of my absolute favorites! :p

I saw one comment that was in one other video but related to this performance...

In it, some guy said this live is lousy....

I thought what the fu**!

Okay, you can’t argue with differences of opinion, there always are, but if someone doesn’t like this performance, I am ....! I'm completely disagree and I am not going to back down from that opinion! :13:

Oh damn... :yikes: I love Alizée's performance, that skirt :):o and in general I love everything in this video!!!!!!

Well it's an interesting performance. At the start of the song and at some other points, she is singing in a rap style and imho, there is no beauty in rap, but then she gets to a part where she's singing and in the performance and she does very well. I realize what is going on and thoroughly enjoy this performance.

AlizéeSuperFanFIN 04-30-2021 09:54 AM

^Interesting ... I haven’t thought or noticed “rap features”. :13:

Same thing i.e. I personally don't like rap music...

Let’s just say Alizée also makes rap music good when needed! :p:bow::D

By the way, there are great individual moments in this performance, as always in Alizée’s performances, such as... several stunning facial expressions :) :)(: and those great Steppenwolf steps! :dance: :sstruck:

Alizée in Amsterdam! Incredible video! :**:

Which I've actually watched quite a bit... For some reason I watch and even listen to quite a bit Moi Lolita (Excluding the En Concert version), even though I love it! Probably because there is - thankfully - a lot of choice!!!

But I love so many Alizée songs and performances!!! :p

While the concert was a general concert, and Alizée wasn’t the main star alone, notice how the audience likes it!

We can be jealous of those who were there... :fear::)(::yikes:

For me this was such an incredible moment. I had discovered her with the La Isla Bonita song. At that point I wondered who was this singer. When she said "Merci" at the end, I figured she was French. So I did a Google search for "Alizée". I saw a video of her in Amsterdam. I had been in Amsterdam before and enjoyed it there, so I clicked on that video.

When I started watching that, my jaw hit the floor. First because of the incredible music of Laurant Boutanant. Then because of the performance of this beautiful young woman.

At the time, I had no idea she was so young. She danced with such poise, such confidence! I don't know how many times I watched that video that night. All I know is I started watching it late that night, then was still watching it the next morning.

AlizéeSuperFanFIN 05-01-2021 02:24 PM

^^By the way, I had to say that I often don’t like short hair in women... :13:

But Alizée... :)(: She also has short hair so amazing and sexy always!!!! :bye::):p:**:

That's really great!

However, this outfit is "pretty revealing" for a young girl, but she performs like any experienced artist and without fear!

Although the audience is large! Once again, it looks like Alizée is just getting excited about it!

Confident is just a good word to describe this!

From 2010 instead of 2001, but this gives an overview of the audience at the Museumplein Amsterdam:

I think in a case like this, she feeds off the crowd and it just adds to an already great performance. She loved doing what she was doing and it showed and you enjoy when it looks like the entertainer is having a good time.

I went there a few years ago. It's a beautiful city, but I had been there before. The thing that tipped the scale for me to go back there is I wanted to see this area. I wanted to imagine what it was like. I've also visited some of the other places she's performed like Pistoia, Taormina and the Olympia.

Edit:

That reminds me of something I've been thinking about. There have been some gentlemen, especially over in Telegram who've been working hard to get better resolution videos of some of her performances but it seems her performance in Amsterdam has been one I haven't seen a better video of. Wasn't this filmed by a major network? If it was, there should be a better video out there somewhere.

Yes, JB makes amazingly great fan videos and all fans can be proud of them!:dance:

I've been very busy for the past month, working on my house, most nights until about 8pm, so I haven't had that much time to go into Telegram. As far as FB messenger, I looked through my messages and didn't see anything I thought might be from you. Under what name do you go by on FB. If you don't want to say it here, you can pm me.

I did go to Telegram and get the upgraded version of the Amsterdam performance. It did improve it but I was wondering if there's a way to get the original video from the station?

Koninginnedag Museumplein Amsterdam event of 30 April 2001

I was aware yes.

But it was a different time, you had nearly no Internet and in The Netherlands you couldn't watch the French TV channels as they were not on the cable.

So when I got back from the holiday in France at the end of August 2000, there was like nothing for a long time until (the run-up to) the release of Moi... Lolita in the Netherlands on 20 March 2001.
Since then until 2004 Alizée stayed popular in The Netherlands, but unfortunately - and despite rumors in 2003-2004 - there has never been a full concert.

Moi... Lolita entered the Dutch charts on a very high position (6), a record for a non-Dutch and non-English song, and later climbed to the second place of the charts.

The Koninginnedag Museumplein Amsterdam concert was like the biggest and most popular event of the year, which meant you couldn't just go there on 30 April 2001 itself - for basically one song - and expect to be able to see anything at all when you're not already there on the square way before the event even started.
Also, as I'm about the same age as Alizée, back then I couldn't just decide to go there myself, and you didn't have mobile phones or anything, so if you went somewhere you had to stick together all the time, otherwise you would never have found each other in such an enourmous crowd.
And that would be if you would actually have managed to travel halfway through the country back then to reach Amsterdam with overloaded public transport and traffic jams everywhere.
So I ended up watching it on TV, where you could see it better then when you would be somewhere in the back of the square.

Yes, I have to wonder how it is even possible that in these En Concert performances, everything is so perfect! :sstruck::bow:

It is quite impossible to arrange these performances in order of superiority!

But this A Contre-Courant En Concert show is one of my absolute favorites!:p

As I mentioned in my psychosis 🤤 thread, after the first shock, I began to realize how awesome a person, a happy, cheerful and good person, Alizée is....!!!! :):dance:I think this performance was one of the main reasons for that. :)

This is really energetic and awesome! :scrunch: Note that Alizée takes 100% of both the audience and their band into account!

There are so many good moments in the performance, of course, but one of my absolute favorites is that when she descends to the audience and touches the front line audience’s hands... :p:p:p

https://youtu.be/OBMVFSit4gE?t=208

I remember reading here that an old member had been there at a concert and in the front row.

Overall, an amazing experience and 99.9% of Alizée fans are jealous of those who were there!;)

The way she interacts with the dancers shows you how much she enjoys performing with these young women . It's not just a job for her. It shows as you said she's happy, cheerful and good natured. I had said the other day about her Amsterdam performance, the fans loved her and she fed off that and here, the fans love when they see a performer enjoys what they are doing and sees the great character of the person and they feed off that.

Personally, I also apparently didn’t notice the little girl until someone mentioned it on YouTube in the comments.

Alizée also apparently did not notice the girl. So it seems?

Probably she would have contacted the girl. :) And Alizée probably couldn't see the girl from the stage... :13:

By the way, that’s a great picture, a great look! :p Well, can you get a bad picture of Alizée at all? Heh! :D

It's also a wonderful amazing moment in the video when Alizée has to peek at who the dancer she is introducing... :)(:

It's Laetitia Broqua. See the Information of “Alizée En Concert” for the credits with the full names of all dancers.

Well, let's move on... :)

And Saturday demands a happy, festive, active moment! :D

Video of the day May 8, 2021:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRReQSUyas4

I have to admit that I tend to listen / watch Alizée often on another device and at the same time explore something or even listen and watch Alizée on another device (yes, so I can listen to two songs at the same time! :w:) [And, I know! :nervous: :)(: :)]...

I don’t remember what I did now on the other device, but the other again became Alizée music from YouTube and random songs with autoplay.

At the same time, I thought J.B.G would be a good choice next Saturday, and miraculously, J.B.G started practically playing at that very moment in that second! :yikes::runaway:

I thought this is a sign, and J.B.G is definitely the video of the day on next Saturday!

And again I have to say that absolutely amazing, gorgeous and Unbelievable performance!!!! :sstruck: I repeat myself, I know, but such a wonderful and supernatural whole En Concert just is!! :yahoo:

It’s really sad that there aren’t more other live versions of this! It would be great if this song also had a lot more live shows like TV shows like some other songs have!

What about James Bond, I'm a fan of old movies... Roger Moore, Sean Connery... I haven't even been able to watch new ones!

But if Alizée were a James Bond girl, I would watch that movie right away! - and she should be a JBG too! :**:

Alizée would fit into her role so well with her classic beauty and incredible sexiness! It’s a shame the filmmakers apparently didn’t know her! :13:

From the interview:

Are you attracted by the cinema and what type of film would you like to be in?
I’m not considering a career in films for the moment, but perhaps later on. Then, I would be more tempted by a romantic film or even an action film or why not being a James Bond Girl!!!

I remember that! :coffee:

Maybe Alizée staff should have suggested it to the production company itself?:)

On the other hand, when Alizée is shy, acting can "scare" in spite of everything...:13:

I was wondering if the video was appropriate.

However, I think the video is a tribute to her when it was finally written in French that Alizée is a happy mother.

And it is known that Alizée is a very good mother to her children. :)

It is true that Alizee is a magnificent mother. :)

I wouldn't have any issues with the video except that the photos were taken by the paparazzi. Alizee had expressed her thoughts about the paparazzi before and she is no fan of them. She was taking a hiatus from the public eye during her first pregnancy and these photos could be considered invasive.

I know your intentions were good, but for the reasons stated I have removed the posts.

I saw the video and I think a lot of women don't like being photographed when they are expecting and even though Alizée did share some recently, they were photos she choose to share. I doubt if she wanted those shared "at the time" so I brought the subject up to CleverCowboy's attention and though I think we both thought it was border line, we felt it should be taken down. I don't have those powers so CC did it.

Exactly 18 years ago on May 21, 2003 the “J’ai pas vingt ans !” (“I’m not twenty !”) Music Video Clip was shown for the first time on the French TV channel M6. It was composed and directed by Laurent Boutonnat with lyrics by Mylène Farmer. The choreography was created by Valérie Bony.

Quite a few YouTube comments say that the French version is definitely better.

And while I love French more, I have to say that I think both versions are awesome! :)

I had seen both.

The Japanese often do a little weird programs, etc. :13: Fortunately, these ads weren’t like that! :)
