Nice article, Karin. I've only known about Alizée for two months, and at first when I heard the songs on UEDS (and Psych too somewhat) I didn't really care for them. But I've kept them shuffling on my player and I just noticed yesterday at work how wonderful her voice sounds on those albums, for the most part. Sometimes there is a lot of what I call processing for lack of the correct term, but when there isn't, and her voice comes through, it's just beautiful.

It is my favorite album, because of it's style...but... I don't like the topic, because I hate the art of Andy Warhol and even more the society around it. MHO.

Yeah I now but as the "muse" of Warhol she is one of the most important parts of the society around him.
Also I don't think that Edie Sedgwick is worth a complete album, but I guess Alizée likes her, maybe also because of the movie or something. |
Alizée was originally going to make a n album about me but then I stopped her. I was like, "No mi amor, you don't have to do that for me!" and then she was like, "are you sure?" and then I was like "yeah... besides, I don't want to make my friends at AAm jealous." and then she was like, "okay, good point." And so she didn't make the album... but we came close though!...
