Alizée needs to put in a little more enthusiasm into her performance.

I didn't really have a problem with her enthusiasm, but I wish she'd put a little more into her appearance. Granted it is a work shop and that is work, but you'd think she could come up with some better looking tees and sweats and either wear the sweat shirt or hang it up while she's dancing.

I've learned to live with her choice of stage outfits. I'm not thrilled with it but I've accepted Alizée for who she is. Watch that video again, yes she's having a good time and she going through the moves with grace, but pay attention to Greg and how enthusiastic he is compared to Alizée. As the video started to play my attention was directed to Greg. It was hard to stay on Alizée because of her laid back performance. Greg was the showman and Alizée looked like she was his sidekick.

I wish there was more video of their dance class so we could see her dancing more than just that snippet of a little over one minute. It doesn't tell the whole story of what really went on through out their class.

My comments should only be taken seriously for this short video segment.

Listen to the clapping. Sounds like a small group :(

60 in the group. Not so bad for Chalon in mid july. A&G have danced at the end of this stage. We and they were tired by bollywood & jive dances... and by 95F !! Very very hard ! Alizée was very kind during this stage, and funny. Greg often forget choreography and Alizée had to say to him how to dance !

Welcome to the forum F_GGMB. I think it's safe to assume you are from France? It seems kind of funny that Greg would forget the choreography since he's been an instructor for many a year and Alizée has been the 'partenaire', but it's also been obvious from her appearances in Les Enfoires over the years that she's a quick study.

It's possible Gregorie tones the choreography down to something Alizee can handle. As professional dancers, that would not be a good thing. I adore Alizee, but as much as she likes dancing, it's not her forte. Singing is.

Actually, performing is.

She is not actually a singer. She is a performer. :)

The choreography is exactly the choreography we learnt, so it's an "Easy" choreography. The choreography they danced on waterloo for Sidaction is much harder

Scruffydog777 08-02-2017 04:39 PM

I would expect the choreography to be a lot easier in these work shops because the students are only there for a limited time, sometimes only a day and you can only learn so much in that time frame. I had taken dance lessons a number of years ago and found that if they tried to squeeze several steps into one session, it was a lot harder to remember any of them where if instead, they just concentrated on a few, I retained a lot more.. I told my instructors that and made much better progress afterwards.

OK, actress, singer, dancer, lion tamer, high wire performer, chef, talent judge--I guess that covers it. She is a performer. :)
