Since it's pretty likely that many of us will be getting up early tomorrow to watch this, it looks like a good time to revive the chat party/podcast! (Sorry for the short notice, but we only found out about the liveblog last night!)

Come and join your friends and fellow fans from Alizée America in a LIVE voice chat over Ventrilo as we watch the liveblog. We'll hang out, discuss the posts to the blog, share our opinions and excitement about the first two singles and the promotion of UEDS so far, and generally spend the morning yawning with each other! It's just like being on the forum, except that we can actually, y'know, hear each other!

If you've never been to one of the chat parties before, and you're going to be up anyway, you should definitely check it out. They're laid-back and a lot of fun. If you can't make it though, the chat will be recorded for release as a future episode of the Alizée America Podcast, so you'll be able to listen in!

"How do I join?" you ask?

It's actually pretty easy. All you need is a headset & mic (or just a mic and your computer speakers), and to download the Ventrilo client. Then you configure a few settings (really easy to do), connect to the server, and you're off to the races.

The settings for the Vent server I've set up for AAm are as follows:

Hostname IP: 174.34.191.3
Port Number: 3829


Once you're in, all you have to do is press the left CTRL key on your keyboard to talk!

What if I don't have a headset or microphone?

No worries, you're still welcome to come out and listen in, and hang out with us in the text chat that's built in to Vent. You'll still be able to interact with the folks on mic. The more people we have on mic, though, the more fun it is!

What if my English isn't very good?

Please don't let that stop you! We're all friends, here! AAm is a very international community, and this is probably the most European-friendly start time we've had for one of these. The chat parties are VERY laid-back and friendly. In fact, if you're looking for somewhere "safe" to practice your English, while talking about your favorite subject, you couldn't ask for a better place.

looks interesting. Maybe I'm too impatient, but what's the name of the server?

The settings for the Vent server I've set up for AAm are as follows:

The server does have a custom hostname--ALIZEEAMERICA.DARKSTARVENT.COM--but I just set it up last night, and I don't think it's propagated yet. At least I haven't been able to get onto it with just the hostname, yet.

I'm going to be yawning for a different reason, as I'm staying up to wait for it.

Okay, I set up Ventrilo

Did I do it correctly? Make new and then put in all those numbers?

So I don't freak out later, if anyone so happens to have Ventrilo already downloaded, could they please pop on and confirm I did it right?

A huge thank you to everyone who came out today! For such a last-minute announcement, we had an awesome turn-out, easily the best that we've ever had for one of these. It was great to see some old friends return and make a whole bunch of new ones as well.
