Lili or Lilly, which one is it?
 

Over the past few months that I have been here I have noticed that many members call Alizee by either Lili or Lilly, since this is her nickname. I was wondering why most people call her Lili since her song Lillytown uses Lilly. Is it just because those who use Lili don't want people to get mixed up with Lilly Allen? Please put in your 2 quarters...

i have the same question... i feel like lilly is Americanized so i just use Lili... dont kno if its right but thats what i hope this thread can tell me

I'm going with Lilly. Basically for the same reason as you are: Lilly Town.

Either way though, I always use Alizée because I feel that nicknames should be used by friends... and as much as I'd like to pretend, Alizée is not a friend of mine. :(

Come on Wasabi....pretend all you want, there's nothing wrong with it. Most of the stuff on here is pretend(i.e. Alizee Cult)haha. But yah so I'm going with Lilly to. Hopefully we can get some more input on here from some of the veterans...

I don't know... I feel a bit pretentious. I mean, if total strangers were referring to me by my nickname I use between friends I would be like "The hell? You don't know me!"

Then again, I'm weird with things like that. :p

However, according to her wikipedia page, it says "Lili".

it is lili and it is pronounced lee lee which would fit her name: ah-lee-ze. :)

thats what i thought, Lilly is a flower, Lili is a nickname version of Alizee

i see where you are coming from Karlalizee. But I still don't understand why she would name her song LillyTown...
