Happy Birthday Eiffel tower # 125 today
 

My wife just called me to let me know that the Eiffel tower is 125 years old today, 31/03/14.

I hope they are partying in Paris and enjoying this occasion.

Happy Birthday - Bonne Anniversaire.

Hehe.. do you know when that tower was built the Parisians hated it at first.. nonetheless tourists flock to it every day and I've been twice myself.

How can we talk about this occasion with out including her performance in front of the tower back in 2003. For those newer members, the occasion was the celebration of the completion of the installation of strobe lights all over the tower. They turn them on at the top of each hour for 5 minutes I believe it is now, each night. It's a spectacular sight.
