Well, if what I read on AF is true, she is here right now. Does anyone know if it is true?

Considering the news comes straight from RMJ himself, I wouldn't bet against it :p. Perhaps she is taking a leisure tour of the States having come so far, or perhaps she is scouting future venues (one can only hope). Either way, Texas is mighty close to Mexico and I will keep my eyes peeled :D.

In Alizee-mexico, there is a thread that says she is still in Mexico. But I read it yesterday :p, and today I cant see it anymore.

I went over to AF to check that out and was reminded why I no longer participate there any more.

Everyone was still fuming about Alizée not communicating with the fans. How absurd. We'll find out the reason for the silence eventually, and I predict certain people will feel pretty stupid. In the meantime, everyone should just chill. It's not like she hasn't been told we want to hear.

As for her being in the U.S., hmm . . . if I see her, do you think I should do as I once said I would, and pretend I don't recognize her? ;)

"Pardon, mademoiselle, est-ce que je peux vous aider ? Je parle français un peu." :D

Why not.

If it doesn't work, there is always plan B.

Admit you know her.

Get down on your knees.

And beg her to come to America to sing. :D

The challenge would be keeping a straight face while doing either of those. :D

Well I can't speak for everyone, but it has left quite the bitter taste in my mouth. Not just the lack of communication, but everything. I'd like to enjoy these new pics and videos, I really would, but instead of giving me the good feelings I used to get, I just feel kind of sick. It's like someone's done a Clockwork Orange number on me, only instead of taking away my Ludwig Van they've taken away my Lili. :(

That this is the award they used as an excuse, and that it's for "best concert by an international artist" doesn't help of course (c'mon, it's just a bit rich!). I don't think any explanation from Alizée could change how I feel at the moment, nor do I really believe there is one, so that's not what I'm holding out on. Truthfully, no one thing can mend this, only an overall change in direction.

Oh yeah, the haircut doesn't help either. :p

Sorry if that was a bit off topic and/or too negative. But I wanted to say how I feel. Believe me, it hurts no one more than myself.

Anyway, if she was in the USA tonight, I hope she enjoyed how we celebrate Halloween! There was a lot of craziness going on in NYC!

Snatcher, as I've said before, there's only ONE possible explanation for the silence. Just use a bit of logical elimination.

This award was not the reason for the concert's cancellation, because the two didn't conflict. She could have held the concert and still made the award ceremony. Low ticket sales might be the reason for the cancellation, but cannot be the reason for the silence. That she doesn't care about her fans, which is what RMJ was blathering on about, is absolute nonsense; we've seen too much proof to the contrary. So what's left?

Any business problems she would not hesitate to reveal. This is due to a personal problem of some kind. My best guess? A problem in her marriage. She's been spending so much time on her career lately that her marriage is suffering for it. Now she's taking some time away from fans and performing to try to repair the damage. (Since he went with her to Mexico, I would say we don't have an actual split at this point.)

Or it could be some other personal problem. But a personal problem it is. Nothing else makes any sense at all. And so I think we have to cut her some slack and be patient and understanding. She'll be back.

I'm finding that's growing on me, but -- yeah, not one of her best. Oh, well. Haircuts aren't permanent. :)

It must be one hell of a personal problem if she can go to Mexico to perform and receive an award, but not take five minutes of her day to log onto Myspace and write two or three sentences.

You're missing the point. Personal problems, severe or mild, are by the nature of them not something you discuss in public. If there is a problem in her marriage or her family, how is that any of our business? We have no right to know these things, yet any other explanation she gave would be a lie, and eventually come back to bite her. So she says nothing.

If there was a business problem, a problem with her management, or if it was just the low sales, she wouldn't hesitate to talk about these things, at least in outline. She's not talking. So it's not those things. It's something personal, something she doesn't want to talk about. That's the only explanation. Nothing else makes sense.
