Mon Planeur

Ok, So here we go with "Mon Planeur". It's obviously not perfect, so I'm open to suggestions.

"My Glider"

I just made us a flight plan
That is not very complicated
We take off and return
Never
No, it's not far from here
The appointment is made
My first flight
These are your two open arms

For takeoff in weightlessness
You take control of my glider
I keep my eyes open
Wide open
I never fear
You press <<on>> and it lasts for hours

We will do everything like last time *
But still better
I anticipate that you aim for heaven
It's not far from here
I await you I said
My first flight
These are your two open arms

refrain

Abusing the blue **
Get lost to find
Abusing the two
In surprising aerobatics

*I couldn't quite catch the meaning, as I'm not really sure, "We will do everything like it would be our last time" or " We will do everything like we did last time" I'm more inclined to the former considering "My first flight".
** blue as a synonym of sky

Refrain

Abuser du bleu
Se perdre pour se trouver
Abuser du deux
En voltige etonnee

I would say that song most definitely has some double entendres. ;)

Well, I provide translation, not an analysis :p I'll leave that to the reader ;)

But still taking command of her glider, while she expects you to shoot for stars and waits for you, hmm. exciting ;)

Thanks for the translation.. I don't have the album yet so I haven't listened to this song, but the lyrics here kinda remind me of this verse from Par Les Paupières..

Traverser l'hémisphère
À cheval sur la lumière
Tu deviens mon héliport
Parcourir l'univers tout au long de tes paupières
Revenir avant l'aurore

do you think she has taken that song to another level here, or was atleast reminicing of it???

RMJ also did a translation.

I just did for us a flight plan
Which isn’t too complicated
We take off, and return
Never
No, it’s not far from here
The meeting is set
My first flight
These are your two open arms

For a weightless take off
You take the control of my glider
I keep my eyes open
Wide open
I’m never afraid
You press “ON” and that lasts for hours

We will do everything like the last time
But still better
I anticipate that you aim the heaven
It’s not far from here
I wait for you, I told
My first flight
These are your two open arms

For a weightless take off
You take the control of my glider
I keep my eyes open
Wide open
I’m never afraid
You press “ON” and that lasts for hours

Abusing the blue
Hiding to be found again
Abusing the two
In amazing aerobatics

For a weightless take off
You take the control of my glider
I keep my eyes open
Wide open
I’m never afraid
You press “ON” and that lasts for hours

Good one! :) I'm not in love with it sonically (that is, as for the ultimate song, the lyrics itself sound nice I guess) but it's - at least - pretty to read. Not another "Moi... Lolita" but contents me anyway. And you know, remarking my casual bitchy comments it means a deal. :o

Uhm, I doubt it's a reference to PLP itself but it does consist the same theme, just like "Décollage". And don't forget her planeur odyssey began yonks ago when she won that Air Outre Mer competition ;) . As for my far-fetched thoughts, I fancy it's no surprise she uses the idea, bearing in mind Alizée's equated to le vent, l'air in her early songs. After all, aren't "the air" and "a plane" aligned? :D

Oh yeah that's so true.. it seems Alizée's affinity with the wind, sky and cosmos has always been there.

Hold on to your sky

Sorry to disappoint you all with the obvious, but she had this song written for me

OK sorry to double post, but I believe we all wanna fly and although we don't have wings I still believe we can fly and it's not always about flying through the air physically. Sometimes it's all about how a single person such as Alizée can make you feel.

Anyway this one is for you.. me.. and I guess everyone else who has ever flown.

P.S

I beleived she once sang a song just for me too. :)
