I know West Virginia is a state, but I tell ya, I sometimes doubt the existence of Nebraska. It wasn't until highschool that I figured out it was actually a state, not just a region, and to this day I couldn't locate it on a map other than "midwest, somewhere with lots of corn." I might be able to locate it by filling in all the states around it, and noticing I had a hole.
So sue me! I'm on the west coast, my family is on the east coast, and the only part of the midwest I've visited is Kentucky and Ohio, years ago :-P |

Is anyone here from Ohio? I've only been through the Cincinnati area to visit fam, so I don't know much about the rest of the state. Does Ohio have prairie, farmland areas like Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas, or are they just trying to blend in w/ Indiana and call themselves a midwest state? :D (Or, do "Ohioans" even consider themselves midwest?) |

That's completely irrelevant to the present discussion, but I thought I'd mention it anyway because ... it's very late. |
