AF forum

I check up on the AF forum every once in a while and I've noticed the past couple of days, I couldn't get into the forums. I've noticed on their chat page, that they have posts from today, but if you look at their forum pages, there last date is 12/27.................what gives? More copyright problems?

I've also noticed that there have been no new posts in a few days. I haven't logged in though so I haven't seen the chat. I haven't read anything about it anywhere though. It is strange.

Something is going on over there, new Chat posts even stopped yesterday.

I just tried to post and this is what I got,

With all that's going on in the world of Alizée, this would be a bad time to have that forum shut down.

it was good forum, before someone decided to make money on it using Google adsense. But the google adsense account was blocked, cause much copyrighted material, and now is prohibited to post every copyrighted thing there... maybe it make sense, but... admin, when he created google adsense, should known how its going, and by posting/using copyrighted material the account will be suspended. And now, he is confused how the hell happened it. And the only people punished are the fans, who had no idea whats going on...

Hopefully if it's the end for AF, somebody else will start a new forum. We all need that forum with it's, multinational, multilingual, fan base. Come to think of it that kind of describes this forum too, but on a smaller scale. Our two forums have their different styles and I think that works out in a good way. It gives her fans more of a selection. If they don't like one, they can join the other and in that way still stay close. As much as I like and respect many of the AF members, I'd still rather we have these 2 forums instead of one.

Agreed.

However, if someone was going to close AF, you think they would have posted something. This is why I think it is just a temporary problem. Either someone is away, or they didn't pay a bill, or they are trying to get the Forum members attention for some reason.

Can't be a bill or the site would be down. Looks like a data base error that I got and no one is around to fix it, isn't interested in fixing it or created it to make a point. Maybe you're right someone is trying to get the members attention to a problem. The owner may have gotten called on the carpet again for a copy right violation and he is giving "everyone" a time out.

I think it's probably like Karin suggested, that someone didn't quite know what they were doing, didn't fully understand the rules or the law and they are probably in a lot deeper trouble now than they were before.

I'm thinking that something somewhere needs a reboot and the 'sysop' is away on holiday.

I'm hoping that if this this forum freezes up for whatever reason that someone tweets some updates on the AAm twitter account.
