Brought forth (rising) from a light breeze directly from Corsica, here is Alizée (name which derives from Aliseo, the wind that "blows" on the island): 17 years old, a concentration of ingenuousness and malice/cunning, she is the musical revelation of the year, on top of the charts with the single “Moi Lolita,” from the album “Gourmandises.”

Alizée:
She has dominated the charts. She has launched a style. The very young French singer is already an icon for all Europe’s girls (teens/young) that dress and apply makeup (style themselves) like her. And the boys? They highly regard her (highly value her) –a lot-. Here are all the things for being a sexy diva . . . without wanting to be one.

How did Alizée come to be?
I studied dance since I was small, then acting and finally, almost by chance, I participated in a casting of Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat who were looking for a performer for the “Moi Lolita” piece. And here I am.

Has your life changed?
I still live in Ajaccio, Corsica, where I was born, but I often go to Paris for work. I go all over Europe and the people just stop me on the street. It’s like a dream.

What’s missing for you?
Often for lack of time I cannot manage to see my friends. So, I spend time on the phone with them.

What do you like to do with your free time?
Shopping with my friends. Or even going to the movies or watching cartoons.

Are you engaged (with someone-have a boyfriend)?
No, but love can happen unexpectedly! We’ll see.

How would you describe your ideal man/boy?
Physical aspects for me are not very important. But my “he” has to be very sweet and above all faithful.

You have become a symbol, a modern Lolita, a very sensual girl and provocative despite your age.
Me provocative? For real (honestly?)? If I am I certainly don’t do it on purpose.

What is your secret weapon for seduction?
I have to say that I do not love provocative clothing or attitudes. To win over a boy (my conquest) I use my glance (look-eyes): it’s a girls most potent weapon.

Who’s the pop star that you most admire?
Madonna is the best. I just finished reading her biography.

Do you feel like an anti-Britney Spears?
The comparison is hard (difficult). We are very diverse (different): However, I respect her (admire).

What do you like most about your success?
The thing I love most is being accepted in places with regard, and always being surrounded by beautiful (nice) people.

Your plans for the future?
I want to write the songs for my next album by myself and go on tour. (in English language translation, though, you can omit “by myself.”)

My family photo album, my (cellular) phone, a player for listening to music and the CD? Which one? Mine, obviously: “Gourmandises.”

I have an appointment with my hairstylist every 2 months using specific products (pampers her).

Eye at my look:

I have a weakness for shoes, above all for those signature high heel shoes.

Usually I prefer wearing Jeans and shirt, or even comfortable clothes

Sunglasses? What glasses, otherwise (if not) how can I seduce with my glance?

Earings or other accessiories? Yes, but they have to be very simple.
