Moi Lolita En Concert
 

I'm not sure if I've discussed this before but if I have, I feel the urge to bring it up again. There are so many songs of her I listen to on a regular basis such as ML in Amsterdam, JAM, L'Alize which I love singing along with, ACC, Gour, KO, PLP, Alcaline, Tempete, Youpidou, L'e-mail a des ailes, Toc de mac. Now one of those songs is not Moi Lolita En Concert. In fact, I ripped most of the songs from En Concert into singles with the exception of a few, one of them being ML.

But there are times when things get me down, which has happened frequently of late with our elections and what's going on in Europe and with my job and there are times I feel the need to listen to an Alizee song and it seems the one I'm always drawn to is Moi Lolita En Concert.

I think the part I like most about this song is when she first finishes singing it and you think it's over. That's usually the part in a concert where you want them to sing more and she does. Another thing I really enjoy about a concert is when the audience gets into it and when she does this encore I guess I call it, they are into it and the I think the music they added at that point was added was perfect and added a lot to it.

It reminded me of another performance of her where the audience really got into it that I really enjoyed.

What is the significance of the red shoe on stage?

That's seems obvious, that , in Mylene's mind, the big red high heels is a symbol of adult feminity. Its a way to show the Lolita character, as a teen girl, who still feel " petite" in front of the giant figure of the sexy woman she will soon become.


And i think its linked to the way Mylène herself did a spectacular transformation from a shy teen to a sexy woman.

The whole premise of Alizée's first concerts were for Alizée to be Alice in wonderland, even some of the outfits etc, etc.

Well that's all I know from various magazine articles such as the one I posted above.

In the movie "Love in the Afternoon," Frank, who does not want Arianne go leave, hides her shoe in the pocket of his dressing gown. He embraces her, and Arianne finds the shoe, rapping him teasingly on the head with it before leaving. The shoe, lost, hidden, and then recovered, [in and out] has a double valence: it not only signifies Arianne's new-found sexuality, but also Frank's "lost" heart.
