Episode 1 - DALS shows with English subtitles
 

This is DALS show 1 with English subtitles that were added. I tried uploading this on Youtube and it was blocked. I uploaded it to Daily Motion and I think it will get blocked here to.

There will be more on the why and the where for, once I find a way to get this and other DALS videos with English subtitles posted.

Daily Motion was blocked too. I uploaded it for the time being to Google drive. I will probably use a different site for the following shows.

I paid a young lady named Marguerite to translate these shows. She spent most of her life in Paris and is now living in the states. I found her through a site advertising French tutors who do other translation projects on the side.


I had originally thought to just get just that last show translated, because it was such an incredibly important show in the Alizée story. Then I thought to get the other shows translated and then adding the translations to videos and sharing them. It's not cheap and I never would have done the rest of the videos just for myself, but I thought members here and elsewhere would really enjoy it, so I went for it. It also gave me a project I enjoy working on, at a time when things are kind of slow.

With the 50mn video. We've all seen in print what she had said about the start of her career, but it means so much more and adds so much more enjoyment to watch a video of her and understand what she is saying at the time and to see some of those great facial expression and know exactly what they are about.

So I still have to send off one more disc to get 2 shows translated by Marguerite but these are later shows and I hope to be able to post one show a week in chronological order.

Thanks for the suggestion and after visiting their site and other sites that had reviews of that site, this sounds like a great option, especially because they encrypt the uploaded files.

My only concern is they say they add an extension to your browser. A while back I had probably an adware program or something similar add an extension to my browser which resulted in ads popping up all the time and I had a dickens of a time getting rid of it.

I don't feel this is the case with mega, but I'd like to find out for sure first. Do you have this program on your computer?

From what I can tell, you don't have to install extensions if you don't want to. I just created an account and uploaded a test video without having to download anything or use anything except for the site itself.
