Ugh... hate to be all negative and suff, but I couldn't get all of the way through that one. As we probably already agree, trying to live up to Alizée's standard, esp. on her own songs, is an exercise in futility but, ugh...
I think the thing that people that try to cover Moi...Lolita keep missing (esp. female performers) is that they try too hard to be sexy and seductive with their voice which is completely unnecessery, IMO. Granted, I haven't read Lolita, but it's been my impression that the seduction isn't something that is supposed to be so overt, rather more an effect of her youth and inherent sexuality. Alizée's natural sexiness has always been more than enough to carry that level of seduction. On the other hand, when these other girls try it, they just end up emphasizing what Alizée has naturally that they just don't.
Also, is this supposed to be a translated version of the song? If not, my French pronunciation* (shameless plug:p) isn't exactly perfect, but that is just innexcusable (if it is supposed to be French after all).
Finally, she just doesn't have the pipes. To me, she sounds rather like a child half her size. Yeah, this one just doesn't fly with me.

Is it wrong to feel happy that people fail trying to sing Lili's songs? :)
