Misheard Lyrics

This should be interesting... Post your best "misheard lyric" stories. Here are some examples to get you started...

Peter Paul & Mary - Blowin' In The Wind... "The ants are my friends, they're blowin' in the wind..."
Should be... "The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind..."

CCR - Bad Moon Rising... "Don't go out tonight, there's a bathroom on the right..."
Should be... "Don't go out tonight there's a bad Moon on the rise..."

I can't wait to see what this evolves into!:D

I once thought that the Men Without Hats song "The Safety Dance" went

'Cause your pants don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no pants of mine

The real lyrics are:

'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

I was pretty little when I sang it and my mother made fun of me for years.

Misheard..

Steve Miller Band "Chug a lug, its driving me mad, its making me crazy"

should have been "Jungle Love, its driving me mad, its making me crazy"

I heard "Keep my distance" instead of "Qui m'indisposent" in JEAM.

I heard of people in Australia mishearing the Go-Go's "Our Lips Our Sealed" as "Alex the Seal" back when the Go-Go's toured there in the early 80's.

For years, my dear, sainted departed mother, rest her boogie dancing soul, always thought the Bee Gees "More Than a Woman" was "Bald-Headed Woman". When she heard disco music, she'd do that funky, out-of-rhythm dance ... you know, the one your parents always do in front of all your friends, the one that embarrasses you all the way down to your bones.

Of course, I always hear mangled English buried deep in the proper French in many of Alizée's songs, like ...

"Say, Pa, my photo."

"Key my discos."

"Don't nobody mousse her."

... for example.
