Alizée in English speaking country?

Well, I didn't hijack the other thread, so I just moved the conversation here.

Nah theses performances were never shown on British TV. (it is conceivable that they were recorded in the British TOTP studios) however they were not shown on the British TOTP. A few years ago you were able to search the archives of the british TOTP to see which artist performed on the British show, Alizée never did according to them. Since the shows weekly run ended the archives have been removed.

Furthermore as you can see the broadcaster on both is RTL, a German commercial TV company, therefore its safe to assume they were broadcasted in Germany.

Furthermore evidence from the Alizée chronology:

Quote:

20th October 2001: She sings "Moi...Lolita" on the German "Top of the Pops" on RTL, to be broadcasted on the 27th and 29th of October 2001

Huh. Confused me, seeing as how "Top of Pops" was in plain English, figured a German show would use German, and so on.

Nah all the Top of the Pop shows use the English "top of the pops"

Check Alizée's J'ai Pas Vingt Ans in 2003 on French TOTP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1mbeynfR5A

i remember some british interview (TOTP?) she was on a couch and they had a translator.. definitely during the years of the first album

Yeah, it's this one here:

So, this proof that she performed in the UK? Seems odd just to have an interview there with no performance.

You mean this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMQXIoiuHWE.

This was not on TOTP, but was instead on "TOTP Prime" a spinoff show, shown on the digital channel BBC3, shown on wednesdays I think??? which delved a bit deeper and would show interviews with artists.

They did show a ML performance afterwards but this was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvaC6pqfSG8 another performance on RTL.

Although ofcourse she did perform in the UK during her whirlwind promotional campaign in February 2002, on the top of my head where she performed on the Saturday show (a saturday morning show aimed at teenagers), as well as T4 (channel 4 weekend show aimed at 16-25 year olds)

Ah this must be the spinoff thread on my comment on "Concerts" in english speaking countries. Yeah I am aware of these "performance", but can't wait for the day she announces a concert in a english predominant country. Cannot underestimate the issues with language, but that certainly didn't stop Mexico from happening.
