(Alizée Wishing Happy) New Year 2008:

Last Wednesday, Alizée went in the short program at TF1, "Happy New Year 2008":
Quote:

I wish you all a very very good year
my best wishes for the year 2008
I hope you fulfill all your dreams
I hope above all that will be always in good health that is the most important
and as they say in my house "peace and health"

Such a sweet video! Her smile has an amazing charming effect.

Just an idea, don't you think posting the web document link once in every thread page is better than after every post? I have it bookmarked, and it's only us three replying anyway, lol. I'll admit it's very handy to the next poster though.

How about just appending the updated list in text format into each post? It will take up screen space but be easier. At least for lazy people like me.

Something like this thread (go to the last page of it): http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512

I don't think it would be a good idea to post the whole list in the posts simply because it may seem easy now, but who knows how much it can grow in the future. It wouldn't be practical. That list Country everyone is from did not grow so much because the posters were not from hundreds of countries, however our list may grow to hundreds of entries in the future. Don't be lazy, Ray. :-)

I think it's much more practical to use my document. I'll post its link once in my post on every page, or you guys can post it in every first post on every following page in this thread. That's because although we are just 3 or 4 of us posters, in the future someone new may join in.

Triage Lavoire building where ACC was filmed.
For those newer members who may not know, this building is a few miles over the Belgium border. It was a coal washing plant. Coal has to be washed in some cases after it's mined. This building was built under the Marshal plan after WW2. It shut down several years later after a couple of local coal mines shut down. Just about everything in it was stripped. There was a plan to rehab it and they did redo the outside, but luckily did not do much work to change this shrine. I even visited this building a few years ago and was able to find a way in (nudge, nudge, say no more). I don't know if anything has been done to it since. The video was directed by Pierre Stine, who also suggested the filming location

As you probably noticed, most of the windows had been broken out when they filmed the video. A storm came up late in the filming and you can see the clouds in some of the shots along with Alizée's hair blowing around.

Well I started to make a video about my experiences and tried to get it out in time for my 10th anniversary, but dropped it when I didn't finish it in time. Maybe I'll get back to it now that I'm coming up on my 11th.

As far as a blog, I'll have to give that some thought.

I'm not sure if you are kidding or if you haven't heard that much about DALS.

Of course the show is just like the one in this country, Dancing with the Stars, where they pair up a professional dancer with a celebrity.

Now it was said Alizée had been asked to be on this show before, but she declined because they dig too much into your personal life and she didn't want any part of that. But after her third album (5) failed, it look like her career might be at an end and so I guess she had to take that chance and you could see how the show did dig into her private life, I think more so with the second show.

Now at some point after her seperation from Jeremy, it was said instead of trying hard to find another boyfreind, she decided to focus her life on raising Annily and for this show, it was said she asked for a gay (male) partner because she didn't want any distractions. Of course they didn't give her a gay partner. They teamed her up with Gregoie Lyonnet who was considered one of the top 10 hip hop artists in the world.

I think it was obvious from show one, she fell in love with the show and the people she met. How quickly she fell in love with Greg, I'm not sure. It was obvious in show 2 that she hadn't let go of Jeremy......... yet. When she danced with Greg in that show to Patrick Brue's "Je te le dis quand même", a song I guess that hit too close to home, you could see the sadness on her face during the dance and the tears afterwards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vok-2PmMu3U

Her main competition on the show was Brahim Zaibat who was a dancer and a very good one at thata and at the time he was Madonna's boy toy. He even appeared with Madonna in one of her football Superbowl half time shows. They broke up soon after the DALS shows ended.

If you did hear about the shows, I typed all this for nothing. If you didn't. I paid to have all the sections of the 9 shows that concerned Alizee translated. Here is the first episode from my Google drive.....

I'm not sure what you mean by that. She did win the competition and as far as the subs, they are accurate translations.

I just posted the link to the first show because posting several shows in my drive takes up too much room. If you want to see the other shows I added subs too, I'll add them in order, maybe a couple a week.

eru777 01-05-2018 07:25 AM

Cool, I am glad she won!

You must have thought I was kidding because this is common knowledge to you, but remember, you are one of her biggest fans. I don't know that much about Alizee, I just think she is incredibly charming and love her because of that. (and the music of course)

Alizee's smile has the unique ability to make me feel better no matter how bad I feel. I can't really put it to words, but hopefully you understand.

Bear in mind I live in Greece and don't watch television ;) But this didn't air in Greece anyway, so that's a moot point. We had X-Factor, so I know that, but not "dance with the stars".

Ever since I started going on here I learn more and more, and with your help and others' I want to continue doing that. Plus it's fun, you know? Sorry for not knowing that much :p

Scruffydog777 01-05-2018 12:12 PM

No reason to be sorry. Without meeting people in person, it's tough for me to remember everyone's situation and know what they've seen and haven't seen. Plus I often miss the fact that some members aren't in here every day as I usually am.

DALS and the Tournée that follow are something I should probably explain further. The show DALS (Dancing with the Stars), started about 10 years ago in France. Alizee appeared in the 4th season (2013) and won and that was a major moment in her life and career. A lot of what goes on today, the Tournee, the dance work shops are a direct result of it.

That year (2013)was the first season they started the Tournée which now happens every year, after the competition is over. They go to several cities and put on a show. I think Alizee has appeared in every Tournee since she won.

Now there is another show that over the course of her career Alizee has appeared in and that is Les Enfoires. That is a show for charity and many celebrities donate their time to be in this show They raise money to feed the homeless and for about a week long period, they put on pretty much the same show, night after night. I've been lucky enough to be to a few of them.

The last show is usually filmed. A video is made of it and they broadcast that on tv at some point and make dvds out of it too. This show has given us a great opportunity to see Alizee sing and dance that her failures of putting out a successful album has denied us and we've gotten a lot of great videos out of it. The Tournee is mostly about dancing and when they did have her sing, they chose songs that weren't a good match for her voice, imo.

Now unfortunately, the Tournee and Les Enfoires happen at the same time of year, so apparently she can only do one. Les Enfoires is for charity and she probably only gets paid for her expenses where she probably gets a nice pay check for being in the Tournee, so it's understandable why she makes that choice, but I and I think many others miss those days of Les Enfoires and each year it's usually a huge disappointment when I find out she wont be in that show.

I have little interest in watching the Tournee because of it, though it's possible with my travels, I might some day go to a show. A few good videos usually do come out of it. Me and two other fans in Europe have briefly discussed getting together for a show.

So like I said, DALS was a huge moment in her life and career. We really got to learn a lot about her. We got to see her become truly happy again. I suggest you watch the first show. If you enjoy it, I will add the others to my drive.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain all that.

It's new information to me. I only knew of her Mylene Farmer days and then Psychedelices, after that it gets cloudy.

I'll definitely be checking out your subbed video :)

EDIT: Watched the video, great insight into what Lili has been doing.

You can definitely see the sparks between them. It's like Natalie Portman and her dance teacher whom I believed she married later on after working together in black swan.

If you ever feel like uploading more I'll definitely watch it :)

So I was looking for that clip for this thread. I'm quite sure this clip was from show 1 and I'm putting it out to show what a good time she had on DALS from the get go. I think this is something she deeply missed since she moved back to Ajaccio and that is having a good time with her peers. Pierre Antoine was a great friend for her, but there were things missing in her life and DALS provided it in more ways than one.

The second video shows she could also be a handful at times.

Do you know something about it?
If it true, he had influenced the decision that Alizee will be his dance partner. If I remember correctly he said in a Interview when he was younger he saw Alizee on Tv and was a fan of her, had a crush on her. When he heard about Alizee´s participation he noticed his chance! the rest is history...
If only i could find this interview again....

I remember reading he was a fan of hers but I don't know if he influenced the decision on him being picked as her partner. Greg had been a participant in the show since the very first DALS.

I did a Google search and I found in our archive where Shepherd had found an article with a video clip of when she talked about wanting a gay partner.

Here's a Google translation of the article:
" She had asked to have a gay dancer to feel more comfortable!
Alizée was Saturday, June 21 the guest of Thierry Ardisson in his talk show Hello earthlings! The singer was promoting the release of her latest album, Blonde. She has also returned to her beautiful love story.

The end of 2013 and especially the year 2014 were those of the media resurrection for Alizée , big winner of season 4 of Danse with the stars . A victory that now dates from November 2013. After congratulating the young mother for this performance, the man in black leaned a few minutes with the star on the other prize won during the competition: love!

The star is indeed in love with his dancer, the discreet Grégoire Lyonnet , who brought him to victory. Seven months after the dance final with the stars , the couple always makes the perfect love. Alizée told a funny story. She had asked to have a gay dancer to feel more comfortable! Finally, she had a straight, but probably do not regret this blow of fate. Asked by Thierry Ardisson , the new blonde says " very happy " with his darling: " It's the big love ". " But I'll have to let him dance next season ," confesses the singer with a sulky pout.

Fans can get the album Blonde , which is released this Monday, June 23 in the bins. The eponymous single was unveiled last March. In her video, Alizée opts for radical hair change. Dark brunette, she gets her hair dyed blonde! "

kulli 01-07-2018 12:21 PM

No evidence if he influenced the decision on him being picked as her partner. I dont know if the decision has been made already or other candirades were in the selection but I can imagine when he head about her participation he noticed this chance and tried to get her as a partner?

Here is the article I mentioned.

http://www.purebreak.com/news/gregoi...-a-dals/115686

Grégoire Lyonnet long in love with Alizée: "I was hoping that she participates in DALS"

Alizée and Grégoire Lyonnet are now married and continue to live their beautiful love story between Paris and Corsica. And the dance dancer with the stars 7 on TF1 has even revealed that before meeting the singer, he was already in love since the age of 13 years.

"At 13, I found that Alizée was the most beautiful woman in the world"

Alizée and Grégoire Lyonnet met on the floor of Danse with the stars on TF1 and their love story was born under the eyes of viewers. A beautiful idyll that ended in marriage for Alizée and Grégoire Lyonnet. While Alizée is going to find her husband Grégoire Lyonnet next saturday in the bonus of dans Danse avec les stars 7 for a dance in trio with Camille Lou, the couple talked about their romantic relationship in the pages of Gala.

After having revealed to our colleagues their desire to become parents together, Grégoire Lyonnet also confessed to being in love with Alizée for a very long time: "Alizée is two years older than me when I was 13 or 14 years old and I I saw on TV, I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, far ahead of all others. Even before meeting her, the dancer had a real crush on the performer of "Moi Lolita".

"In addition he had a girlfriend who looked like me" even said Alizée, before her husband explains: "Attention, I will pass for a weird guy ... But it's true that I was interested in a college girl next door because of this resemblance ".

"Dance with the stars, I secretly hoped that Alizée would participate"

The one who is still in the competition of Dance with the stars 7 with his partner Camille Lou made it clear that he was not "a fan of Alizée". No, "I just found the beautiful singer," he detailed. And his crush was so strong that Grégoire Lyonnet even confessed: "Once at Danse with the stars, I secretly hoped that Alizée would participate, and four seasons later, it happened."

An ultra romantic story that is warm to the heart! The singer, now his wife, concluded: "We both believe in destiny and sometimes we ask ourselves a question: if I had agreed to participate in the show earlier, would we still be together today ?".

Scruffydog777 01-14-2018 08:40 AM

I believe the last word mentioned before we drifted way off topic was 'Dans avec les Stars', so next I'm offering 'Summer Time'.

I have to admit it was not until now that I wanted to watch this. I was just being stubborn - it was not the kind of dancing that I enjoy, and it wasn't the kind of dancing that I like to see Alizee performing.

But I have to admit that it was very moving. Seeing Alizee so sad and then crying is difficult, to say the least. I'm sure she has had her fair share of sadness up until that point. It is my hope that her future days are full of smiles.

Regarding the Alizee with Attitude short video clip, I can totally handle a little bit of fire in a woman. It's the explosive, seeing red kind of tempers that I have no tolerance for. I don't see any kind of evidence of that in Alizee.

So Scruffy, I appreciate the file on your google drive. I have terabytes of free hard drive space on a media drive. I have lately been downloading as much as I can of Alizee videos. If you can share some additional that you find interesting, I would definitely be adding them to my collection.

:dontknow: It's up.

Scruffydog777 01-15-2018 07:15 PM

I think I understand some of the newer fans views towards DALS video. When I first became an Alizée fan, the Alizée affect from those first few years, lasted for years. There were so many performances, so many videos that I never tired of watching.

Though there have been some very good moments after that such as Les Enfoires and DALS and SAGA, nothing can compare with Alizee 1999-2003 and until that affect wears off, there wont be a whole lot of interest in other things.

Still, these other performances, especially DALS gives us great insight into Alizee the person.

So maybe newer fans at this point wont have a lot of interest in the newer files, but I will still upload these files as space permits on my Google drive.

Some of them are available on the hub. I was banned from the hub at a time I was trying to help them out (long story). But if anyone has a file from me that they see is not on the hub, please feel free to upload it to the hub, because I want these translated files to be available to all her fans.

Soon, I will post more DALS videos on my Google drive. If anyone missed the first one, let me know. I will upload them in order so you can see the show progress as it happened.

Looking through my Google drive, I still had this show in there. It's a French comedy show that again I paid to have translated. It was her first attempt at acting and she did a good job. It may be on Youtube. I'll see if I can find a link. I've heard mention that not long ago, there was the possibility of her being in a movie, but apparently, she turned it down.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzK...ew?usp=sharing

I see the video on Youtube for the comedy show ( nos chers voisin), but not my version with the English subtitles.

CleverCowboy 01-15-2018 07:55 PM

Thanks Scruffy for sharing these. I am in the phase of expanding my Alizee horizons, so to speak.

I do have a tendency to immortalize the 1999-2003 Alizee. She was more than just a pretty singer and dancer - she was a phenomenon. I don't think I will see anything like it or her for the rest of my life. There was no person that affected me like she has, and I didn't want it to ever end. Sometimes I get grumpy on this forum about her tattoos or her musical direction after MF/LB because I wanted more. It seems like the glory days were cut so premature.

I am taking in more videos from the Psyche days on that I have not seen. I am enjoying watching them.

The first Alizée hub I joined required registration but the hub CleverCowboy mentioned doesn't so there isn't a way to be banned from it. They are two different 'places' with basically the same Alizée content.

I missed Ray's post about the new hub. That's great news. Digimaze who is one of the guys who ran the DC hub, posted in our forum I guess a little over a year ago that he was thinking of shutting down the hub because no one was using it. So I think I was the only one who tried or what's more likely had the ability to help him out.

I had been doing a lot of work with adding translations to DALS and SAGA and posting them on Youtube when I didn't run into copyright problems. So After Digimaze's post, I started uploading these files to the DC hub. He tried to send me a couple of pms through the hub on the naming convention for these files and for what ever reason, maybe my stupidity, I couldn't access them, so he banned me from the hub.

It's great to hear there is another place to upload files to that hopefully doesn't have a size limitation like Google drive. I will upload all the DALS files as soon as I get a chance, not to mention shows like SAGA which I think are alredy there. I suggest fans watch the DALS shows in order. It's a very good story.

I'd tried to tell Digimaze how busy I get at times. Just tonight, I wanted to post a magazine article from 2008 that I had found pictures for from AIFC, but translations for from a former member, Garconcanaidien. I kept looking and looking for them and couldn't find them, but then I stumbled upon the Alizee interview about the album 5 that was a tribute to France Gall who recently passed away had a big influence on Alizee.

I thought what a great story to post where France recently passed away. I had the pictures of the pages from the interview. I tried looking for an ocr program to read the French text, but when that failed, I tried a program that read French text, and that failed.

But there was a file with the AIFC picture files of a Russian translation. That worked great, but was time consuming too. I translated a page at a time, then going through and correcting mistakes such as Alizée was spelled Alize.
There were comments like 'He laughed', which were actually 'she laughed'. So like I said, most of my day was spent doing this, when I have a lot of other things to do.

I spent a lot of time tonight pm'ing one of her great fans from Finland that I met on a recent trip. We had discussed the possibility of meeting up to get together for one of the Tournee shows with another fan from Germany, but I think that is not likely to happen.

I'm mainly saying this because Digimaze failed to understand how little time I had to figure out his pm system when he could've easily sent themto my e-mail address that is readily available in the forum.

So I welcome this new file sharing site and will do my best to upload files when I can find the time.

I think you are finding that the fairytale hub is offline more than it is online. I was only able to download a handful of content from it before it went offline and I haven't seen it back up yet.

I did see that the ray4aj hub has a fairytale folder, so maybe ray has everything from fairytale. I am getting a great connection from this hub.

There are a few more hubs that seem pretty reliable, so I will get what i can from those at some point in the future. It is looking like it will take quite a while to get everything.

Here is the second show from DALS on my Google drive. I probably wont get set up with fairy tale for another week. Maybe then, I can upload the rest, unless as I mentioned, they might already be on the hub.

Edit:

Back to the game, I believe we're on s so here's a video I put together "She loves to dance"....

By the way, I got the music from when I was in Nice, filming the Carnival there.

That clip was very moving. She indeed was very injured, and probably still is, but hopefully to a lesser extent. I have to hand it to Gregoire. It takes a very patient and kind man to break through that kind of hurt.

There is a folder in my hub share with many (most?) of Scruffy's subtitled translated videos, including the SAGA and DALS videos.

search for 'subtitles by scruffy'
