What ever happened to this song that Amina listed on her track list? I mean.. she was pretty accurate... that leads me to believe this song is a dud, something that someone wrote and didn't make the final cut. Maybe they thought it wouldn't be good enough... but I wanna hear it!

Who knows? It may be a song they were thinking about but decided against, or it could just be a different title for one of the current ones that Amina didn't have on the list.

Given the way the album was put together, piece by piece over a couple years, it's possible it was the name for something that never even got written. An idea that was floating around, but didn't get put in to action.

It's not uncommon to record 3 or 4 extra songs to have more to pick from. Maybe there is such a song, maybe not. It would be interesting to know...

I've kind of felt that L'amour Insulaire might have turned into Par Les Paupières. First because PLP is one of the songs Amina didn't list, second because it's one of two Oxmo Puccino tracks, so he could have taken the original music and changed the lyrics, and last, well, it's just a feeling I get when I hear the two titles.
