I've just been listening to Alizee's "Une Enfant Du Siécle" album, and I was thinking that perhaps Alizee knows something we have not yet come to realize: Alizee has lost her voice. On this album, her singing is terrible. If she sings like this on a new album, she won't be able to give it away. One terrible thing after another. Truly, the dream is over. She will never come back.

MF & LB preparing an album for another singer rumor.
 

Mylene Farmer and LB have been working on a new album. There is a rumor on FB that this album is being prepared for someone else and it doesn't rule out the possibility that the someone else could be Alizee.

I can't bring myself to believe this. It sounds like they've been working on this album for a while and if Alizee was involved, I think we would've seen some level of activity from Alizee such as a picture on a plane or in Paris, but there's been nothing except a few pictures from her everyday life in Ajaccio.

If this album is being prepared for someone else, I think it's more likely it's being prepared maybe for a replacement for Alizée. I'm sure with MF, the same thing still applies that prompted her to look for someone like Alizee. Mylene has ideas for songs and videos that would better fit a younger woman. Alizee retired, so she has to find someone else.

In the ongoing discussion in FB about this, I brought up the subject of the young girl who I believe was MF's niece who Mylene wrote a song for her to sing. Maybe back then she was too young to do an album, but now would be a better time if she's even interested in pursuing a singing career.

The little girl is adorable, and you can see MF's talent all over this.

According to Wikipedia; "Lisa Gautier (known as Lisa, born 1997) is a French dancer, actress and singer. She is Michel Gautier's daughter and Mylène Farmer's niece. ". It sounds like she's actively pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. She's 20 years old. It would be the perfect time to write an album for her. What a gift that would be for a young lady, kind of like what Alizée received when she was 15.

I believe I owe Alizée my deepest apologies. I'm sure at Le Bal de L'Empire which is to benefit L'Asssociation L'Inseme she will thank 'everyone' who donated. I hope we get to see this event on video.

Of course in my defense, I didn't know of this event was going to take place after the fund drive. I could also plead insanity, but I should not have doubted her.

Jo had posted a couple of days ago a blank space reserved for a picture. I always get my hopes up that when he does something like this, it might have to do with Alizee, but he posted another picture today of 'Project Scorpio' which I guess is a new game console. Sigh!

I found out today on FB with this exchange, who put together one of my favorite fan videos and that is Next Door Alizee. It was Mike Lovesong (FB name). He is the gentleman I met in Helsinki last spring. He also put together a video called Amelie m'a dit Alizee. Now both of these videos hit close to home if you know what I mean. He took the clips in Paris.

I saw a post by Monique Mufraggi today. She has a FB page for herself and for her school. Of course her school is where Alizée learned to dance. I believe I saw the post because she added one of my FB friends as as one of her friends.

Anywho, some of you probably haven't read the story of my first visit to Ajaccio when I met MM. Before I went there, MerciAlizee had contacted her in the past through e-mail, so with his help, I was able to convey a message to her that I was coming to Ajaccio and I wanted to take some pictures of the school, but at a time when no students were there.

So one morning after my arrival there, I went to the school and met her and received probably the warmest greeting I ever had in my life. It really surprised me. They had a class of very young girls going at the time and she had an assistant who was working with them. She started showing me this one room that was long, but was about as wide as a closet and told me Alizee used to practice in there. I told her I wanted to take some pictures, but asked if there was a time I could come when no students were there. She said Tuesday was her cleaning day, so I could come then. I said great and offered to help her with her cleaning.

Come tuesday when I walked in the door, she looked at me like I was a ten headed monster. She didn't even want to talk to me. Somebody obviously had talked to her and I think probably said it might compromise the kids safety in some way if I posted pictures of the school in our forum, even though I asked to take pictures of the school when no students were there. I was flabbergasted. I could've used some counseling.

The funny part is the school's FB page posts many pictures of the school and the kids.

I really don't believe that's a possibility. We know so little about her and to say she might be bipolar I think is unfair. I think it was a case somebody said something to her about a stranger taking pictures and probably told her after posting these pictures on the internet, all kinds of stalkers would show up at the school looking for lolitas and she took that too heart.

At least my meeting in 2016 with the very nice woman who runs the Chez Paulo restaurant went a lot better. I believe we communicated before my trip with the help of Steve RMX of our forum who's from Germany who also helped us with the wedding card we sent.

I stayed at a hotel run by her daughter. They all treated me very well including her son who also worked at the restaurant.

Alizee was on the mainland at the time, but I get the feeling that if Alizee had been there, she would've tried to set up a meeting or at least tell Alizee a fan was in town.

In reference to the recent'Whiskey' discussion, after I returned to the states, I sent them a good bottle of American whiskey in thanks.....

It was unfair on my part without further information. Knee jerk reaction I guess. My apologies. It seems like if she had that concern, she could have handled it differently though.

That was a great gift! Nothing says American whiskey better than Jack. :D

I'd really like to know what was said to her to provoke such a strong reaction.

Lanfranchi Blanche Jean Baptiste (That is the three's FB name) posted some pictures, a couple of her, Blanche, one with her grand daughter I'm assuming and a few at the event that was held this past year celebrating their efforts to raise money for an apartment in Marseille where people could stay while visiting family members in the hospital. It also included this moment where they played Moi Lolita at this event with Alizéee dancing with some kids.

I really like the last minute of Moi Lolita, ( around 0:54 ) the added synth sounds and what is the other sound in the background, a Electric Guitar? so catchy.... :dance:

It would have been really nice to see her at least mouth out the words to that song. Back a few years ago, when she appeared at 'dj' promotional events, again it would have been nice to see her at least, mouth out the words. There seems to be a reluctance on her part. I wonder why?

Thank you. I was going to say something along these lines. Being at a fund raiser, it might have appeared boastful and maybe arrogant to draw unnecessary attention to her successes.

If these guesses come pretty close, I think it is thoughtful on her part.

Well she did a gig as a dj at some bar/club as part of her promotion of 5 I think it was and Moi Lolita was played and the people there were getting into it, and at that time I thought she should at least mouth the words. Her fans were getting into and it seemed odd for her not to do something. I'll see if I can find that video.

Found it: I can understand her not wanting to sing outside of a studio, but I think she should've at least lips synced with it This was a promotional effort for her self. She should've worked the crowd in some way and she didn't. Just another mistake she made in promoting her albums.

I think CleverCowboy's explanation works here also. She does not have a huge ego. Paris Hilton would have sung along (and she has been ridiculed in the past for having done so). :)

Maybe after the fact she regretted not working the crowd. Perhaps she was so consumed with the job of being a DJ and thinking about what to say and play next that she didn't think about it.
