[28-07-2010] Concert Hommage Serge Gainsbourg in Tel-Aviv
 

Alizée will be in concert in Opera in Tel-Aviv on 28th July 2010.

This concert is for paying homage to Serge Gainsbourg. She will be many other artists and The Israel Jazz Orchestra..

Who indeed? For the most part, I'd sooner go to Sri Lanka than Israel... But Alizée!?! It's so weird! Also noteworthy is that Serge's more famous daughter, Charlotte, isn't on the bill. But maybe she's busy doing a movie or something.

Well, since we're splitting hairs here, I just did another boo-boo: I said "object" when I shoulda said "subject". Dang!

I think it is sous-entendu that quelque chose du genre "Wow ça fait" comes before ... 20 ans qu'il nous a quitté(s). ;)


Since nous is a COD (complément d'objet direct) and it precedes the past participle, it should agree. Nous is plural by nature, so, if I understand correctly, there must be at least s at the end of quitté.

The same goes for things like:
1) Je l'ai vue, cette fille.
2) Il m'a regardée. [Speaker is female.]

I'm so proud of her today.
There is so much anti-Israeli sentiment in the world these days. I applaud her decision.
