Instaurer un temps d’échanges sur la tolérance, le respect et le handicap. Chaque année depuis 2004, la Dictée d’ELA marque le lancement officiel de la campagne nationale « Mets tes baskets et bats la maladie à l’école ». Pour l’édition 2016, c’est Katherine Pancol, qui a rédigé un texte inédit dédié au combat des enfants d’ELA contre la maladie.
Le Principe
La Dictée d’ELA est devenue un rendez-vous annuel très attendu des établissements scolaires. Lundi 10 octobre prochain, partout en France, des centaines de milliers d’élèves de tous niveaux et leurs enseignants découvrent, le même jour, ce texte inédit. Loin d’être une dictée ordinaire, l’objectif est de créer des moments forts d’échanges et de discussions sur la maladie, le respect, la solidarité et le handicap.
Le texte est lu le même jour par un enseignant, un ambassadeur ou une personnalité.

Est-ce une dictée ordinaire ?
Non, cette dictée est avant tout un message de solidarité dont le but est de fédérer la communauté scolaire autour de la cause d’ELA. Elle n’est ni un exercice d’évaluation, ni un concours d’orthographe. Les élèves pourront donc procéder à une autocorrection, un moyen de s’imprégner du texte et de s’approprier le message.
Qui peut y participer ?
La Dictée d’ELA s’adresse à tous les élèves, de l’école primaire à l’enseignement supérieur.Selon le niveau de classe, vous pouvez l’adapter :
en notant les mots difficiles au tableau ;
en copiant le début du texte au tableau et en ne dictant que la fin
Comment organiser la dictée ?
Vous êtes libres d’organiser cet événement comme vous le souhaitez. Toutefois, voici quelques conseils :
distribuez, à chaque personne qui lira la dictée, une photocopie du texte original que nous vous joignons. Prenez connaissance du texte avant le jour de la dictée ;
le jour J, lorsque les élèves sont installés dans la classe, le chef d’établissement ou l’enseignant présente l’association ELA, l’événement, l’auteur du texte, la personnalité qui a peut-être répondu à votre invitation pour lire la dictée ;
avant de faire la dictée, nous vous conseillons de diffuser la vidéo d’ELA (durée 15 minutes). Elle vous permettra de sensibiliser les élèves au combat de l’association ;
une fois la dictée terminée, nous vous encourageons à créer un moment d’échange entre les élèves et les personnalités présentes autour des notions de handicap, de solidarité…. Pour les écoles primaires, n’hésitez pas à inviter les parents d’élèves à se joindre aux élèves pour faire la dictée
Jouez la carte de l’originalité : invitez un lecteur !
Vous pouvez inviter un lecteur à venir lire la dictée. Cela donne un attrait supplémentaire à l’événement, aussi bien pour les élèves que pour les médias. Vous pouvez, par exemple, solliciter un élu municipal, un membre du conseil départemental ou régional, un sportif local, un chef d’entreprise… La présence d’un lecteur est bien entendu facultative.

Principle
The dictation of ELA has become an annual appointment very awaited schools. Monday 10 October, everywhere in France, hundreds of thousands of students of all levels and their teachers discover, on the same day, this unpublished text. Far from being a regular dictation, the goal is to create moments of exchanges and discussions on the disease, respect, solidarity, and disability. The text is read the same day by a teacher, an Ambassador or a personality.
A few answers to your questions...
. Is - what a regular dictation?
No, this dictation is above all a message of solidarity whose purpose is to unite the school community around the cause of ELA. It is an evaluation exercise, nor a spelling contest. Students can proceed to a self-correction, a way to soak up the text and to take ownership of the message.
Who can participate?
The dictation of ELA is intended for all students, from primary school to higher education. Depending on class level, you can customize it:
Noting the difficult words on the Board;
copying text to the table early and by dictating that the end
how to organize the dictation?
You are free to organize this event as you wish. However, here are a few tips:
distribute, each person who reads the dictation, a photocopy of the original text that join you. Read the text before the day of dictation;
the day J, when students are installed in the class, the head of the school or the teacher present the association ELA, the event, the author of the text, personality that may have been responded to your invitation to read the dictation;
before the dictation, we recommend spreading the video of ELA (duration 15 minutes). It will allow you to teach students about the fight of the association;
Once the dictation is finished, we encourage you to create a moment of exchange between the students and the personalities around the concepts of disability, solidarity... For primary schools, feel free to invite the parents of students to join students to do dictation
play the card of originality: invite a player!
You can invite a player to come read the dictation. This gives additional to the event, both appeal to students for the media. For example, you can apply for an elected municipal official, a member of the departmental or regional Council, a local sportsman, a business leader... The presence of a player is of course optional.
