Gourmandises remake
1 Attachment(s)
Hy,
I've finally mustered up the courage to try to create my first real composition and I decided to create a remake of Gourmandises (using Muse Score). As a starting point I took melodies and harmonies from this video: Gourmandises piano howto youtube, fooled around while trying to figure out the rythm but failed and resorted to online tutorials. Anyway, after some hours, this is what I came up with: Gourmandises-remix.ogg <-- it will be updated! I used only the piano, bass guitar (fingered) and synthé strings, all part of the fluid synth soundfront. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Main point: I would be really happy if you shared your thoughts with me. This isn't of course the final product and I want to make it as good as possible with my rookie skills. For all those interested, here is a derpy-looking pdf (sheet music): Durpy looking sheet music |
It sounds solid to me. Good job !!! :)

Well I don't know squat about making music and I can't read sheet music either, so I can't offer any help there. But as for the sound, it pretty much matches the basics of the actual song, so thumbs up man! :thumb:

Thank you very much for your response. I'll try to get one of my friends to help me mix the thing and add percurssions.

First of all, what I don't know about music could fill a phone book.
I listened to the first 2 parts and I wasn't quite sure where you were going with this. Sounded like you were in the ball park, but still had a ways to go, then all of a sudden the tempo picked up at the 1:07 mark and it sounded great, then you stopped and you picked up again at the 1:27 it picked up again and I said Yes!!!!!.....it was awesome. Then the chorus part sounded real good. Once you connect all the dots, I think you'll really have something. |

I can add the percussion if you'd like .
... and the singing part... :D Edit: ... and make a special episode of my youtube channel series as a music video. |

That would be really nice. You can find the wav files here: zip_file. Check the /deli subdirectory, there are wav files for all 3 instruments. EDIT: I would like to do Amélie'm a dit next... what would you like me to change, where should I improve? |
Thanks i'll be working on it ;)
