The newest season of DALS began last night with decent ratings. Grégoire and his 'star' Camille Lou placed second in the scoring with a Rumba to 'Purple Rain.'

The Alizée related part of this was that there was a lot of chatter on Twitter referencing the rumors and chaos from a few years ago when Grégoire left the show. A few articles came along today... I don't want to send traffic to the blogs but here are some app-translated quotes.

For the most parts, these articles are based on comments made by the public on Twitter rather than actual facts. I suppose it could actually drive up viewership at least in the short term.

As the season progresses without Alizee making a scene, I think the public will quickly forget that unfortunate event and move onto other things.

I think Alizée is far and away a much more beautiful woman than Camille, but still Camille is a good looking woman and I think it would be very tough for the most loyalist of men to stay focused when night after night you're put into such close contact with each other. I hope Alizée is able to stay in Paris during the course of these shows. I wonder if she still has a place in Paris? What was that building she was seen coming out of during episode 3 when Greg picked her up and they went shopping for some "Bollywood" accessories? I also wonder if some scandal would benefit Camille. I wouldn't think so, but who knows?

Well I share a lot of posts of items I see in FB. Most times when I share it, it will mention I shared an item posted by so and so. Sometimes I have to share a post in a way the original poster's name doesn't get mentioned, in which case, I will add their name such as with Jo Jacotey and a couple of others, because of their privacy settings, I can't directly share a picture or post, but they have given me permission to copy and paste a post in which case, I'll use thier name.. I was suspicious of that image even though it has the TF1 logo because it said #montage which to me meant #photoshopped but an article on TF1's actual website does announce that Alizée will dance with Grégoire and Camille Lou Saturday.

Gregoire said he was in love with her, long before meeting her in real! During her Lolita period. He was 14 or 15, watching her at the TV, thinking she was the most beautifull girl he ever seen. He was dating a girl, at school, that was an Alizee lookalike !

Anyway, Camille Lou with Grégoire are finalists for this season, along with Laurent with Denitsa and Artus with Marie.

I believe the final is coming up Saturday. Is there a way we can vote by phone for Greg?

I wonder what is was about season 4 that kept so many peoples attention? :)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Alizée herself that drew all the interest. I think her story was a very interesting story on her own, then you add the romance that was growing between her and Greg. I think that would draw a lot of female viewers. You also had the competition between her and Brahim. Too me, it seemed like the main competition was between her and him and I think that must've created a lot of interest, especially in the final 2 weeks.

the final for DALS Season 7 is Friday December 16th, not on Saturday.

It is moved because TF1 shows Saturday the Miss France competition. In my view a waste of time, because Alizée is the most beautiful woman!!

He has to be proud of his achievements with Alizée a first, and Camille a second. Not many of the other pro's on the show have done that well. :)

I can't remember if any 2nd place finishers have ever participated on the tour :13: So will Camille Lou and Gregoire do the tour? Will Alizee and Greg do it? Maybe all three will dance together again! Alizee may have said already that she will be at some of the dates... #suspense

On the tour, why not give Gregoire double duty. After all, the dancers typically repeat two of the dances they did on the show. Why not repeat the 3-person Rumba. :)

I have no idea what the policy of the show is for the tournee. Maybe they ask other competitors from the competition other than the winner, maybe they don't. I would think they do because the reason for having them in the show to begin with is because they think it will help with the ratings and I'm sure that would be the case for the tournee.

I think other competitors don't take part in it because they probably have full careers and the competition takes a big chunk of their time and they're glad to be done with it. But with Alizee, her life is everything and the tournee fits perfectly into her year long schedule if you can even call it that.

Alizee took part in one of the shows and I think that makes her a shoe in for being in the tournee. If she hadn't been, I think it would've been an awkward position having her in the show. Who does Greg dance with? But like I said, having her as part of one of the shows, I feel changes that.

So I'm pretty sure she'll be in it and I'm very happy for her and I'm sure she'll do well, but to tell you the truth, this doesn't really excite me at all. One thing I've often said about different appearances here and there is it keeps her career going and as long as it continues there's hope of another album and concerts but it's getting to the point where I don't see any light at the end of that tunnel and I'm growing tired of the chase.

I'm very happy to hear that she will be doing the tour again. :) :)

And yes, they seem to try to get at least one winner on the tour, but several on the tour have been third and even fourth place finishers.
