That's one of the fundemantal flaws in our system. If you don't like either of the parties you are pretty much left out of the system. While in a Parliamentary system, like the have in the U.K., Canada, Australia, there is a multitude of different parties, so if you don't like the two major parties you could always vote for a third party and chances are you could get members of that party elected in parliament and thus have your voices heard. When there is a minority goverment in a parliamentary system it forces the ruling party to compromise with the smaller parties to get bills passed in the parliament. So there is a greater representation of minority parties.

Since you are from Florida I sure hope you are telling your friends and relatives to register to vote for Obama, if you want our guy to win. Florida is a "Battleground State" and polls are indicating Obama has a slight edge. If you could get enough people to our side, that may "tip the balance" to Obama's favour! Remember every vote counts in Florida. If our guy wins Florida then he is going to easily become the next President!
