The fact is, I never bought into the whole "Lolita" thing because to me it was just a role she played for one song and video, nothing more. Of course it was an image that could be marketed too. It's not that I dislike the image, I just don't miss Lolita because for me she never really existed.
To me, all I ever saw was Alizée, and all I heard was her music and her voice. That's what makes me a fan. That's what always made me a fan. For me, all that is still with us, and it's what's real.
