She seems a lot more....
mellow in this performance than in other early ML ones. There's much less of the movement, bouncing, smiling and excited waving I've come to expect from Gourmandises Alizée. Here we don't get a lot of any of those... just a whole lot of giving the camera the "Lili eye".
It really brings out the
"seductress who's a lot more mature than you'd expect for her age" aspect to the song, as opposed to the
"apparently innocent little girl singing about things that prove she is anything but" aspect we get in performances such as
this - possibly because I'd imagine the two are up to a year apart (judging only by hair
) but still it adds a new dimension to the song I think.
