I cannot put a finger on it, but there is just something that Julia is missing. It's not in her looks or her singing ability - obviously she has both. She's missing a "hook", that special something that makes me want to see and hear more from her. Maybe it's the lack of stage presence? She just looks distant when she's singing with mechanical motions, like she is not enjoying herself.
Sorry if you find this all too critical but I'm just calling it the way I see it.

She's definetely beautiful and has an amazing voice, but I agree that she lacks charm and warmness that Alizée easily transmits when she's on stage.
I think I've said it before, but Alizée looks like a very welcoming person; a very warm, friendly and funny person. You could Google beautiful women, but they all seem kind of "stuck-up", stoic, too cold, more or less like this new singer. Someone else said that Alizée makes a lot of eye contact and I think he's right; her constant smiling and eye contact makes her seem like a very warm person, while at the same time, being beautiful, so who wouldn't fall for her
