Well, I'm mostly looking for video caps and when I get the desired shot I usually start drawing her with pencil directly from the monitor or from a printed copy. Then watercolors, scanning and a bit Photoshop retouching for contrast/saturation enhancement. Each one takes me around 3hrs usually.
I still have some problems getting all her features perfect but as John Sargent (a well known american painter) once said
" a portrait is a picture of a person in which the mouth isn't quite right"
