Well, in the Catholic faith, confirmation is the sacrament proceeds your first Communion. It is basically where you take the burden of looking after your own religious life, and it is no longer looked after by your godparents. In essence what you are doing, is confirming your faith.
Of course, in asking Amélie that question, i was working under the assumption, she was Catholic, if there are any other religions which still have Confirmation I apologise, but I believe that Lutherans and Calvinists dropped most of the sacraments. Of course, the predominant religion of Lithuania is Catholicism, so it was a (pretty) safe assumption.
