But im all for every branch!

An aircraft carrier? I doubt that, it's more a mix of the combined effort of all 4 branches. However, each one like to toot their own horn. The air force believes that air superiority is the most important thing because we dominated the Iraqi forces by bombing the hell out of them. But I wont deny that the ground forces moved in and took over. I haven't heard much about the Navy doing much in this war; they just have the lowest casualty rate. I've heard Navy is skate though if you serve on a carrier and you're single. It's supposed to be hella hard though cuz we only have like 12 in our whole fleet to my understanding.
Oh, and as for drills with an m16, we don't use them. Air Force color guard also use m14s or m1 garands. I wouldn't want to use an m16 anyway; if you drop it, something would probably break. Most of the air force only has to qualify on an m16 every 2 years. We SF use the m4 and have to qualify every 6 months. Once a year on the m9 barretta; but the air force is supposed to start testing a new handgun soon. Bah, I wish they didn't can the Xm8, that thing looks sweet and everyone gave it rave reviews.
