I've seen
"J-..." posts often from French fans for all kinds of things on social media over the last several years. It can be a countdown for an album release, for a return to school, for the start of vacation, to announce just about any kind of upcoming event.
I don't know if it's something unique to texting and social media, or if it's used more widely in everyday conversation. I don't expect I'll ever know.
