What I was getting at was that the Mylène-era was like school to Alizée, it was when she learned everything she needed to work in the music industry under the strict guidance of a more experienced person. Everybody has to leave school and use what they have learned to earn a living (usually before their twenties), just as Alizée split with Mylène (her 'teacher') at the same stage in her life. If she had stayed with her, it would be like somebody staying at school into their twenties... which nobody does. Maybe that analogy got a bit convoluted there...
