Here's a picture shared today by Chez Paulo. Apparently they had a contest to design a Corsican bank note. I had to ask myself are they really anticipating getting their independence from France? I don't know but below is a translation of the text that accompanied the picture.

I leaned on the contest for the upcoming Corsica Currency and as I feel that it belongs to us all I share with you my proposal "20 Soldi" sent this morning with the accompanying text.
"I am pleased to submit my idea of Corsica ticket, which repeats for the front the effigy of Pasquale Paoli father of the nation, exposing the left's Constitutional Treaty which refers to the right with the date of 1755 placed on us, since it is the inspiration and indirectly it will act on the world, that's why the Earth map is visible. I have also felt the need to melt the face of Mr Paoli with Moorish " silver "to define his birth origin and destination of the subject which must represent a monetary value.

I also try to recreate the best that can be found in today banknotes I leave you free interpretation.
In back, I'm focused on something more traditional that echo the old names of the Corsican but while completely reworking the Moor on bases of wood and new colors.
